things I've been learning since moving out of my (abusive) family home:

if you immediately stop having rage spirals that make you feel ashamed to be alive the moment you stop being around someone, they were probably the problem the whole time

having boundaries doesn't make you selfish. wanting to stop talking to your family doesn't make you selfish. you don't need to be grateful for what they did for you

you're probably not the worst person to exist. or the most worthless. or fundamentally awful. you're probably not the best either. chances are you're just normal. surprisingly hard to come to terms with this

if people offer to take care of you, it doesn't always mean they're saving it up as a reason to manipulate you later. sometimes people just want to help. and it's Good to let them do that

my radical belief is that the disabled and the elderly should be paid at least the average cost of living, regardless of the life they lived. regardless if they ever worked or what work they did or if they were responsible with their choices in life or not

It’s the difference between Amazon giving a damn about you verses pushing your book to the bottom of the food chain.

a) everything the graphic says is true! b) would love some love from Amazon. c) people are much more likely to review when they don’t like something, so it is lovely to have nice reviews to offset the ‘1 star, ripped off Star Wars.’

Every time an old tv show gets taken off a streaming service there are twitter threads mourning it like it’s been “lost” but it has literally only been a few measly years since most of these shows were available exclusively through piracy for most of their existence. The streaming services are a brand new thing and also they suck. The piracy is still there. I am BEGGING people to use things like soap2day and kimcartoon, why did that suddenly stop being everyone’s go-to. Do people think they’ll actually get in legal trouble or do they think they’re going to get malware?
