As a landlord, I have one condo that I rent out, who, like so many, has become unexpectedly unemployed with no chance of work, how do people purposes I pay my mortgage when my savings run out? Deferring is nearly impossible and, apart from destroying my credit, will potentially add $10,000s onto my debt. If my renter can't pay, I need a new tenant or to sell at a huge loss and lose my one plan for retirement. Not trying to be a dick, but I sincerely want to know how to not evict a single parent.

As a fellow landlord with a single property, is there some reason you made the conscious decision when you put together your financial plan for this business venture to *not* put aside enough money to cover your expenses for a few months just in case your property ends up vacant for a while?

Like, if you’re bad at running your business, then let it fail and move into an industry you have some competence in. Stop blaming your customers for your lack of entrepreneurial intelligence.
