Recovery Time
Releasing his cheek, and taking a lot of will of control herself, if looking at the bright side, then it was a relief. At least he was conscious enough that he shouldn’t be running around the city with such injuries –Even if it did not looked like that a few moments ago, and Nami genuinely believed he was up to something before the meat blackmail.
“We’re the ones that decided to follow you, and we’ll do that no matter what or how dangerous something becomes.” she replied surprisingly more calm, of course in her plan that included that the likes of Luffy, Sanji and Zoro, even Franky would deal with such situations while giving a moral support in the back. “
A sigh escaped her lips as well as a smile was formed, placing a hand over her forehead, “You’re helpless.” she said followed by a small chuckle, before widening her eyes, “You know, I think we both know someone that can help us with getting information or perhaps even more, bring him down before he gains control of this city like he did back in Dressrossa…Boa Hancock.”
“Well, you say that now, but you didn’t have a choice. You’re my navigator whether you like it or not.” Not one to make the brightest or most considerate of decisions, if there was anything that Luffy could be relied on, once he’d set his mind to something there was no going back.
“So when’s the food coming.” was his immediate response, however as soon as he’d said it he realized that Nami had every intention of talking things out. Talk about boring, his slouch expressing his dissatisfaction. Making allies and the like was all well and good, but working against a number advantage was a field Luffy excelled in.
“Ah, Hancock!” Eyes gleaning as he perked up at the mention of his good friend’s name. “Well, I don’t think she likes Mingo very much but...” Despite his constant flippancy around the Empress, she had seemed kind of off. “She’s been acting kinda weird lately. Like she was pretending she didn’t know me or something. Must have hit her head or somethin’.”
