i'll post a WIP list every now and then so if you don't see your request, the witches might have eaten it
i'm down to write angst, fluff, crack, dark themes, gore or headcanons, though i have an easier time doing requests that go into detail about imagines (don't confuse with a very specific reader, i tend to go for male or gender neutral)
every writing will be under a read more, darker posts (i.e. yandere, manipulation etc.) WILL be tagged appropriately both on the post and under the tags starting with #tw (ex. #tw yandere)
currently no art requests for now (i still have some in the back burner 😞)

It has been a while, work took me by the throat so this one is shorter than I liked but I hope the longer animatic makes up for it ▄█▀█●
He looked busy. Real busy, always attending to matters. Likely from the many kingdoms he'd raised.
It was hard, to seek council with the Herald of Change when there were countless cookies and creatures who had their own worries.
You didn't realize, caught up in watching him, that he was watching you too.

"Huh, a cookie that can grant you wishes?" Wizard Cookie was intrigued, crowding closer alongside the other two. You couldn't help but laugh at their curiosity.
"I never knew there was a cookie in Beast Yeast capable of such feats." Pure Vanilla Cookie spoke up from where he was still steering, his staff orchid keeping watch for him even as the Ancient himself turned towards you.
"It was a long, long time ago." A few looks were shared among the young ones but unanimously agree to let it be for now.
"Did," Strawberry starts, tugging on her hoodie, "Did you meet any others."
You smile and let your guitar do the talking.

You pause. The trio on the edge of their seats as you get lost in the memories of singing and dancing with the Herald of Change.
"And then?!" Gingerbrave pushes agaonst the two to step closer, much to both Wizard and Strawberry's protests.
You laugh shakily.
"And then, he asked me to teach him."
(Some instruments he picked up better than others. He fell in love with the drums.
You wondered if he still thought of you as a breath of fresh air.)

inspired by @brittle-doughie's bard reader (i hold that request he's made for me close to my heart <3) also, this is my first time writing x reader content, please be kind
You've heard of her, through whispers of awe and adoration. How she could grant wishes to any and all, big or small.
But that's left you wondering...
When was the last time someone granted a wish of hers?

"Hey, Bard Cookie?" You shift to look towards the sheepish voice that came from Gingerbrave, blinking idly as you wait for him to gather his words.
"What is it, Gingerbrave?" You give a gentle nudge amidst the silence, taking note on how Wizard Cookie and Strawberry were trying their best to look like they weren't eavesdropping, they've grown into strong and crispy cookies but it's clear they're still a little soft inside.
You don't mind their curiosity, there's not much they can do when you're all stuck in the air, headed for Beast Yeast after all.
"So, you said you've lived in Beast Yeast a long time ago, right? Can you tell us anything about that place?" Gingerbrave tunes you back in with his question, eager to know, stepping forward with that unusual brevity that leads you to soft laughter.
You don't miss how the rest, even Pure Vanilla Cookie, were now perking up at the prospect of hearing something new about an era older than them.
"Hmm." Instinctively, your hands reach around your back to grasp an instrument, pausing as your fingers feel the thrumming warmth of one made of spice and charred remnants.
"Why should I tell you..." Your words trail off, unaware of their shared looks of confusion and concern.
Your hand passes over to pull out a well loved guitar, made of wood and sugar that didn't smell of smoke to strum a familiar melody into the piece.
"When I could sing it instead?"
You've heard of her, through whispers of awe and adoration. How she could grant wishes to any and all, big or small.
But that's left you wondering...
When was the last time someone granted a wish of hers?
You were young and ambitious, nothing but a flute in hand and your ragged cloak, a scrappy cookie amongst the many others, it was a wonder you reached her that very same day.
"What is it that you wish for?" Perhaps you did have something to wish for but all you had back then was one question.
"What about you, what do you wish for?" It had caught her by surprise, your question alongside the way your confident smile wavered but eyes shining with dedication.
You'll never forget the way she smiled and asked for a simple song, having seen the flute tucked behind your person.
And for a moment, the pagoda was filled with the distinct sound of a flute, you played the best you could and she listened to your serene melody.
Alas, all things come to an end, your time together interrupted by the others who wanted their wishes to be heard.
You left your flute with her, with the promise to play for her again when you come by once more.
(You wonder if it's still there, you didn't have it in you to check before leaving your home.)

—What was better than stealing such an unlooked treasure from that pathetic thief?!
Apparently, one that walked right onto his stage to be his centerpiece.

If he could be honest for once in his second life, he didn't think you'd listen. Shadow Milk Cookie figured he'd have to put in the effort, make a real glamorous show to keep your attention, was looking forward to it even– What was better than stealing such an unlooked treasure from that pathetic thief?!
Apparently, one that walked right onto his stage to be his centerpiece.
"Come one, come all! Well, I suppose that's still one of you, to witness the comedy of The False Heroes!" You had scoffed, you had gazed at him then with a raised brow and exasperation but you stayed to listen to his fantastical, fanatical retelling.
And that was all that mattered, really.
You didn't participate at first, merely an audience who watched his antics with quiet eyes and a tired face, but oh were you enraptured, he just knew it.
(Look at me. Look at me.
I'm looking.)
"I can see you, darling." He crooned, bowing low, hand held out, eyes filled with mirth, dark amusement has his slitted pupils dilating with anticipation, "I said you'd be part of the show, didn't I?"
There's something funny about this, coaxing you to step into the backstage with him, out of the spotlight shining down on you, into the shadows to play with the puppets he's made just for this spectacle.
"But then I won't get to 'witness' it." You rebuke but you've already made a step forward, grasping onto his hand and he could feel your breath hitch with how solid it feels against your own dough.
"Oh but that's the best part, little star! You won't get to just witness it. We'll be spinning the narratives ourselves~"
He pulled you in before you could think, it was just so easy.
And yet he's never had more fun playing with you, it must be because the plan was going well, it definitely is!
(He's already fallen once.
What's one more?)
Your kingdom reminded him of a fortress, walls built tall and high, hidden away– So how did he end up here?
He knew why, this was what he had been striving for after all, months of late night talks, whispered ponderings and soon enough, secrets told were what lead to this.
He just didn't expect to find himself inside palace walls so soon, trailing after you as you quietly greet your subjects, just as loyal, just as patient as you, they'd been waiting for your return, never once wavering in doubt for your arrival.
He watched you, silent for once, taking it all in, you were a walking tragedy all on your own.
It's funny. It isn't.
"He's not going to greet you like this." A lie. He would, just not in the way you wanted, he would say your name with warmth, perhaps reach in for a hug, but his frame wouldn't soften in the way it would have, reserved for someone else that wasn't you.
"I know." Your replies grow more and more neutral, used to this song and dance the both of you have started moons ago.
Shadow Milk felt his mouth twitch, this was good, he could use this–
And yet.
"Hey, hey, won't you be the star of my show?" You paused, turning around to see his waiting hand.
He ignored the rush of warmth when you don't even hesitate anymore in taking it.
"Just for tonight?"
"Ah," He found himself laughing, a new plan stringing up his mind, "Don't stars always shine every night?"
He pulled you along, taking you with him, his hold firm and unwilling to let go. You may not wish to take what you want but that was fine, he could be selfish for the both of you.
(Plans never survived with contact from the enemy.
He knew this, of course. He just didn't think you were a threat.
Now, his heart starves for something to fill it once more.)
"Would you wait for me?" He asked it on a whim, there was something he wanted to see, check on that thief's kingdom if it had fallen to ruin—
"Of course." Your voice trembled but your words hold a truth that burned him into a wide eyed stupor.
(Oh.
Oh.)
He doesn't know how long the both of you stayed in that moment, a revelation, the climax, of what has become of the both of you.
"Oh, my little star." Shadow Milk breathed, crowding your glassy eyed face with a too wide grin, grasping your cheeks as he felt the truth crush him once more.
"Did you really think I won't come back? I might not!" A lie. The biggest he's ever told.
You listened and laughed wetly, leaning in to press your forehead against his, tethering him to this world, stronger than any crack in that damn seal ever could.
"And miss tonight's show?"
(He came back just before night fall.)
"Are you truly happy?" He paused at his other half's question, one he could never find himself to ask themselves, what good was the truth anyways? All it did was–
"I am." You didn't even hesitate.
Something settled in his chest, left him breathless, so heavy and warm, he might just think his body was truly real.
He giggled from where he was draped over you and he delighted in seeing you smile at the sound.
"Is that a smile I see? Ah, no no, don't look away from me, my little star. I saw that!"
(And if tonight was a fullblown musical– well, who didn't love a good song?
waaa if requests are open, mayhaps a fun little angsty kind? your writing style feels like it'll match it well
perhaps a reader who is all about loyalty, pining for pure vanilla cookie AND white lily (because i think it's funny if reader got the naruto treatment where their best friends got together) like they're not all that hurt, they're happy for them, honest!!
it's just, it feels like they've been left behind
and shadow milk cookie notices this, the twist here is that, reader doesn't join him or switch sides but they indulge him, so it's two lonely people finding company with each other, do whatever you want with this, change a few things if you want!! most important thing for me is that reader isn't tempted to join, only wanting to have shadow milk's company
"curtain call" - shadow milk x reader (ft. pv and wl)
✧︎ ✧︎ ✧
you weren’t surprised when it happened.
the slow shift from stolen glances to quiet touches. from late-night conversations shared beneath the glow of starflower lanterns to soft smiles that only belonged to each other.
pure vanilla cookie and white lily cookie.
they’d found solace in each other’s light. you? you stood just at the edge of it.
grateful.
and left behind.
you told yourself you were happy. meant it, too. they deserved joy after everything. the pain, the scars, the loss. you had been loyal. you always would be. to them. to the cause. to the hope you all once shared.
but still, when you stood alone in the empty gardens where lilies bloomed and the air tasted faintly of vanilla, something inside you curled tight, unsaid and unseen.
that was when he found you.
"ahh, there you are. the picture of tragedy and dignity, an audience of one!"
his voice slithered out from the shadows like ribboned silk, teasing, bright, but never warm. shadow milk cookie stepped from behind a gnarled, petal-thin pillar of moonlight, his two-toned gaze flashing like twin stage lights.
you didn’t flinch. not anymore.
"you must be mistaken," you said, voice even, gaze tired. "there’s no tragedy here."
he clasped a hand to his chest, feigning hurt. "what a lie that is. your mask is exquisite, doll. may i borrow it for my next act?"
you scoffed, folding your arms. "what do you want?"
"to bask in your melancholy, of course!" he said, spinning dramatically. "the ache of being second, forgotten, but ever faithful!"
you didn’t answer.
he took a slow step forward, voice softening. "they've moved on without you, haven't they?"
you looked away, jaw tight. "they're happy."
"and you're not."
it wasn’t a question. just a statement. one you didn’t bother denying.
you should’ve walked away then. should’ve left him standing there in the ruins of your solitude with his words like oil spilled on water. but the truth? you were tired. not broken. not bitter. just tired.
"…you're still here," you said.
he smiled, all teeth and something like curiosity.
you let the silence stretch between you until it wasn’t silence anymore, just a pause between acts. and you surprised yourself when you said, "fine. keep me company. just don't talk too much."
"oh, how cruel!" he grinned, bowing low like you were royalty. "but i accept, with delight! it's practically romantic."
you sat beneath a withering tree that night, and shadow milk cookie lounged beside you like a serpent uncoiling in moonlight. he made commentary on the stars. wove lies into stories that made you chuckle against your will. he said your laugh sounded like the rustle of forgotten curtains.
days passed like that. weeks, maybe. you never asked him what he wanted. he never asked why you stayed. there was something unspoken in your arrangement. he didn’t tempt you to leave your side, and you didn’t try to fix what had long since shattered in him.
"i never understood loyalty," he mused one evening, his voice low, words almost tender. "it always ends in tragedy. is it worth it?"
you tilted your head. thought of pure vanilla’s gentle eyes. white lily’s quiet resilience. you thought of how their hands had found each other when you weren’t looking.
"i think it is," you said softly. "even if it hurts."
shadow milk cookie stared at you then. not with amusement or cruelty, but with something close to wonder. like you were a riddle he hadn’t solved. or a truth too sharp to swallow.
"you're a strange one," he said.
"so are you," you replied.
his grin returned, slower this time. "perhaps we deserve each other, in a way."
"no," you said, shaking your head. "i'm just… tired."
"mm," he hummed. "then let us be tired together."
and so, you did. not lovers. not allies. just two strange souls caught in the in-between. he spun his illusions, and you let him. you watched the world you couldn’t belong to anymore flicker beyond reach, and he watched you watching it.
maybe it wasn’t enough.
but it was something.
and sometimes, when you sat beside him and the world grew quiet, it almost felt like you hadn’t been left behind at all.
just… waiting for the curtain to rise again.

April Fools’ Special: “The Great Prank War of Blueberry Yogurt Academy”
Crack-filled spinoff…Non-canon. No logic. Just glitter and emotional whiplash.
The day begins with a single, ominous announcement echoing through the Academy’s ancient halls
“To all students and faculty: April 1st shall henceforth be known as the Day of Arcane Fools. The Hall of Enlightenment bears no responsibility for what is to come. Proceed with chaos.”
You wake up to find your shoes replaced with jelly slimes that scream “THE TRUTH IS A LIE” with every step. Chai Latte Cookie bursts in moments later, giggling uncontrollably.
“Don’t look at me like that,” she says, deadpan. “Hazelnut dared me. Besides, you do look good in slime shoes.”
Earl Grey Cookie and Hazelnut Biscotti Cookie have barricaded the dining hall, claiming it's under quarantine due to "rogue custard spirits." They’re dressed in full alchemical hazmat robes, enforcing ridiculous entry rites like reciting the entire history of blueberry cultivation.
And then oh, then comes Shadow Milk Cookie. He enters the dining hall by materializing from a burst of stardust and scrolls, grand cloak billowing behind him, voice echoing with noble gravitas.
“BEHOLD. I HAVE FORESEEN THE GREATEST FOOLERY IN THE STARS. AND I yes, I, the Sage of Truth SHALL JOIN THIS GLORIOUS NONSENSE.”
He’s wearing sunglasses shaped like ancient runes, and his Soul Jam is flickering with rainbow disco light. Chai Latte Cookie collapses into laughter. “I knew he’d crack eventually,” she whispers, nudging you. “Is it weird that I find this version of him kinda... charming?”
Shadow Milk Cookie has declared a Prank War Tournament structured, of course. He conjures scrolls of rules that are 73 pages long and somehow signed by “The Ghost Council.” No one remembers such a council existing before today.
The teams are set
Team Moonmilk consists of You, Shadow Milk, and Chai Latte.
Team Chaos Custard consists of Hazelnut, Earl Grey, and a very confused first-year student who thought this was a study group.
The war includes
Potion Ping-Pong don’t drink the wrong one; some give you wings, others uncontrollable hiccup spells.
Scroll Charades, where mispronunciation can summon temporary illusions (Earl Grey accidentally conjures a herd of tiny squealing sheep. No one knows why.)
and Hide-and-Seek through the Nightmare Archive, where all the books whisper dad jokes to throw you off.
At one point, Shadow Milk Cookie corners you in a corridor, gently smirking behind his rune-glasses.
“You’ve played quite cleverly today. I daresay I underestimated you, my starlit assistant in tomfoolery.”
You blink at him. “You just enchanted the custodian's mop to sing opera. Doesn’t that count as clever?”
He gasps. “That mop had dreams!” Later, during a breather in the botanical gardens where prank pollen causes uncontrollable giggling fits Chai Latte sits beside you and hands you a cup of your favorite drink…which now sparkles for some reason. She leans her head on your shoulder with a soft sigh.
“Even if the world’s falling into prank-fueled chaos,” she murmurs, “I’m glad I get to be by your side. Just like always.” Before you can answer, Shadow Milk calls across the courtyard, waving what appears to be a glitter bomb shaped like a moonstone.
“Come, my dear trickster! We must seal our victory with The Grand Finale of Truth Confetti!”
You glance between your two companions, the sage gleaming with wild delight, and your friend glowing with gentle fondness. And you think
Maybe this is what truth feels like too.
Not just in knowledge...
But in joy.
In being seen.
And in letting yourself laugh.
Operation: Confess or Confuzzle
You are minding your business. Simply existing. Enjoying a perfectly normal snack in the courtyard after surviving the Prank Tournament. The sun is gentle. The air smells like a mix of lemon balm and unidentifiable magical residue. Peaceful. Then Hazelnut Biscotti approaches with a shifty look in his eyes. “Just so you know,” he says, “something’s about to happen. I tried stopping them. I really did.” You don’t even have time to ask before
“DEAREST SCHOLAR OF MY HEART!”
Shadow Milk Cookie descends. From the sky. Cloak trailing behind him, arms wide, like a meteor of romantic drama. He lands on one knee before you, holding up a scroll with your name written in sparkly calligraphy.
Chai Latte Cookie is behind him, barely holding in her laughter. She gives you a wink and mouths, Just play along.
“For far too long,” Shadow Milk intones, “I have resisted these truths buried within me. But nay, I can hide no longer. On this sacred day of cosmic jest, I confess my soul yearns not just for truth... but for you.”
The entire courtyard goes silent. Several upper scholars drop their scrolls. One of them screams. Your jaw drops. You open your mouth to ask what in the moon-blessed realms is going on, but Shadow Milk continues.
“I seek not merely academic clarity, but the clarity of your gaze. Grant me thy hand, thy snack, and perhaps even thy study notes.”
He holds out a macaroon. You’re about to respond with something resembling a sound when…
“I OBJECT!”
Chai Latte Cookie storms forward in full theatrical fury, knocking over a chair for effect. “You can’t just confess on April Fools’ Day, Sage. That’s breaking the Ancient Rules of Trickery. Which means by Article 7, Clause Chaotic I have the right to duel you for their heart.”
You blink. “What.”
Shadow Milk narrows his eyes. “So be it. Let this duel commence.”
The Duel for Your Affection: “Truth vs Tea”
Location: The Courtyard of Possibly Cursed Flowers
Judges: Earl Grey, Hazelnut, and the Opera Mop
Weapons: Pranks only. Winner is whoever makes you laugh harder.
ROUND ONE: Prank Poetry
Chai Latte: Delivers a fake love poem that starts beautiful and ends in a recipe for lemon muffins. You tear up. Until she pulls a muffin from your pocket and yells, “Checkmate!”
Shadow Milk: Opens an ancient tome that releases a recording of him dramatically confessing his love to a potted plant...your potted plant. From three weeks ago. How did he even???
Point goes to Shadow Milk Cookie, for historical commitment.
ROUND TWO: The Embarrassing Memory Spell
They each cast a minor illusion spell that reveals a shared memory.
Chai Latte: Shows a moment when you fell asleep studying drooling and all, hairs out of place and she gently covered you with her scarf, staring at you like you were the only Cookie in the world.
Shadow Milk: Accidentally shows you calling him “Shmilk” in a dream. Out loud. In a crowded library.
You scream. Your face flushing. They both look smug.
Point goes to Chai Latte, for psychological warfare. Wasn't the point of this to make you laugh?...
FINAL ROUND: Personal Confession Bomb
Each gets one final statement to “convince” you.
Chai Latte Cookie:
She steps forward, all teasing gone from her face. Voice soft. “If I only get to make you laugh today… that’s enough for me. But if there ever comes a day you want to know how I really feel…” She presses a tiny folded note into your hand. “You’ll find me.”
Shadow Milk Cookie:
He clears his throat, awkwardly solemn for once. “It may have begun as a jest, but in trying to make you laugh, I uncovered a... truth I hadn’t prepared for. I would like to continue being the reason you smile even if it's as a fool.” He bows. “Though I must admit... I rather like it when you blushed.”
The courtyard erupts.
Earl Grey: “I CALL IT A TIE.”
Hazelnut: “I vote for the mop.”
The Mop: operatic screeching intensifies
Epilogue:
You’re left on the grass, heart pounding, surrounded by absurdity and affection. A note in one hand. A glitter scroll in the other. And two very different Cookies one warm like tea, the other burning like a comet watching you with soft smiles.
And even though it’s all a joke...
...why does it feel so real?
Post-Credits Scene:
The mop lands a solo in the Academy spring recital. No one questions it.
A/N I made this not weeks ago but maybe a week and a half ago waiting for today...<3
hush, nonono, this is REAL AND CANON <33 in my heart this has happened and true

That platonic shadow milk & reader blurb was so good!!! Oh my god, can you imagine the confusion and fear for pure vanilla in the gang to realize, "Oh my God, there's a kid here. Why is there a kid here??" Not realizing that this kid is gonna be one of the reasons for their downfall. Or when pure vanilla awakens, he tries to maybe bring the kid over, but the kid refuses because they want to go with Shadow milk. Oh my god, my thoughts are running wild with that, thank you!!!
REAL, i didn't have much juice left so it's pretty short but i have so many thoughts abt it here's a few i didnt get to like, write abt
Kid Reader is essentially the embodiment of White Lies, the kind you say innocently or with good intentions
The kind many say, it never goes away
So Kid Reader is essentially the spot of Yang to Shadow Milk's Yin, and is OP in their own right
They're just very innocent and mostly easily distracted with other things than cause chaos
BUT ALSO YEAH, I WANTED TO WRITE ABT THE BRAVE GANG MEETING READER, ESPECIALLY PV
the encounter with Candy Apple probably left them suspicious at first but Reader is just so inherently.. out of it? that they worry anyway
