minki didn’t really like working outside when he could be inside, but it was a nice day and it was getting too hot to work whilst surrounded by walls that trapped heat in, and even if it was still warm outside, he could sit in the shade in a more secluded area to finish what he had to do. and he was glad he’d worked on his laptops battery life now honestly. but it was a spot minki had found a while ago, not too many people even noticing it actually which suited him best. it was just a quiet area away from the noise too, but minki supposed that didn’t matter when his mind was completely trained on what he was doing with no signs of that changing soon without interruption as he mumbled away to himself while typing out commands and such of all kinds. really, anything could happen and he’d be none the wiser to noticing it.

   She’d been taking time away from Minki, after the wedding. She’d joined the Wildlings, handed over her leadership of the Snakes to her best friend, but she was busy, and she felt like limited time with Minki might have been the best for his safety. She was still known as the Snake who changed her loyalty-- twice. However, throughout her time away, she’d been doing nothing but missing him, so she had to see him. He could only be a few different places, but outside hadn’t been one he expected. She ran into him quicker than she’d expected to because of it, causing a moment of excitement to bubble inside of her (( though in honesty, she would’ve been excited no matter how soon she ran into him )). Running up to him, heels clicking on the sidewalk, she wrapped her arms around his neck from behind in a hug, pressing quick kisses to his cheek, “Ah-- Minki I missed you so much, what are you doing out here?-- That’s a dumb question, you’re obviously on your computer-- Ah I’m sorry” With a heavy sigh, she let a smile find it’s way to her lips, kissing his cheek once more.

He frowned, giving a shrug of his shoulders. “I was hoping they told somebody. Even if it means telling you.” He was never particularly nice to Bambi, but that was mostly because he considered her a rival rather than just because he hated her. She was too sweet to hate, even for a hateful bastard like Jaehwa. But he didn’t know why she was lashing out at him, when he wasn’t the one who crashed the wedding and ruined her evening with her date. “Aw. Is the baby finally growing a back bone? Too little, too late.” If he really wanted a fight, he would’ve reached out to pat her head in a condescending manner- but at the end of the day, he didn’t really want to fight Bambi. Certainly not now. He steeled himself, jaw clenched as he forced himself to apologize. “..Sorry. I didn’t mean to be a dick, Bambi. Misdirecting our anger isn’t going to get us anywhere.” He didn’t know how to salvage the evening, but getting their second-in-command into a better mood would be as good of a start as any. He stood up from their table, disappearing without a word. He reappeared at Bambi’s side a moment later, pressing an entire bottle of soju he’d stolen from the bar when it’s tender wasn’t looking, into her side. This was as good of a peace offering as she was going to get for right now.

   The way he said you only rose her irritation, lip curling into a small sneer. He had reason, to dislike her, as any person did. No one would get along all the time, and she’d done enough to give him reason, theoretically. She’d moved up in the gang, to a rather high position, and he had been the one to recruit her, which would’ve frustrated her, had she been in his position. However, she’d always thought they got on fine, friendly, even. He teased her, yes, but all friends did that, and most of the people she surrounded herself with tended to tease her. 

   “Leave me alone, Jaehwa. You’re being a dick and I don’t want to be around it.” She was rarely curt with people, often had a happy attitude about her (( one of the reasons she didn’t really belong in the Snakes. )) But she’d had too much taken from her tonight. His apology felt forced, and she knew it was. Had she not been a good person, she wouldn’t have accepted it. “Whatever,” she replied softly, looking down at the table. He’d gotten up, left the table, and for a moment she let herself relax-- but then he came back. He’d brought a peace offering, however, a full bottle of Soju. She didn’t drink much, but on a night like tonight? Taking the bottle from him, she poured it into her glass, too classy to drink straight from it.  “...Thanks”

❀ – Being close with a member of an enemy gang had its benefits. Because of her relationship with Tae, Ahyeong probably knew more about the Snakes than she should being a Wildling. She didn’t hate them or hold any real resentment towards them as others did and, even if she wanted to, she didn’t think she could make herself hate anyone. Especially when the co-leader was so cute.

❀ – Ahyeong sat down beside the younger girl, smiling softly. Bambi was small and looked like a young girl, mostly because that’s exactly what she was. She heard others in her gang talk about how vile and ruthless the Snakes were, how they were terrible and cruel, but Ahyeong couldn’t seem to find a single one of those words matching Bambi. The small doe-like girl sitting here wasn’t a ruthless killer, or at least she didn’t seem like one to Ahyeong. She looked sad and helpless if anything and it brought out her maternal instincts. 

                                    “Is it okay if I sit with you for a bit?”

   She had half a mind to say no, to turn her away and tell her to go find another table to sit at. But she didn’t have the energy to pick a fight, and getting into an argument with a member of another gang wouldn’t benefit her. She was smart enough to know that. Leaning back in her seat, she waved her hand with a roll of her eyes, signifying that it was alright. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked over the woman’s features. 

   “Do you need something from me, or...?” She wanted to be snippy, give her some sort of smart remark, but she’ barely be able to think of one, let alone say it.

minki knew how dangerous and risky this was– he wasn’t an idiot after all. but he also knew that it was more than likely that everyone else was too caught up with the wedding to actually pay attention where he, or bambi, were going. plus, the snakes were kind of causing a diversion in some ways.. and he just wanted to at least be able to spend some time with bambi while he could.. though he supposed that would be easier done when the newly weds went of their honeymoon..

a smile appeared over the worry as soon as he saw her appearing then, sighing in a little relief as his own arms wrapped around the younger girl. honestly, minki was still surprised that he event wanted, or could be, like this with a girl, and especially one as sweet as bambi was. even now he didn’t regret being with her honestly, because what reason did he have for that? what reason did he have to regret her, even if it would cause him some kinds of complications?

“i-it’s okay–” he shakes his head then, holding her a little closer then because he didn’t blame bambi for the snakes arrival even if it was kind of sad for both of them now that the female had been ousted.·“m’okay– m-minho said.. there are worse things you could be– he.. he didn’t react as badly as thought..” he managed to mumble out, catching on to most of what bambi had been trying to say anyway, or as much as he could make out even with her somewhat broken korean.·“you.. are you okay”

   She felt calmer now, with his arms around her, and it helped to remedy her shaking breaths. There was still an insane amount of worry, over who might see them together, but she wanted to be around him. As much as he seemed to want to be around her. She looked up at him, chin resting on his chest as she did so. “I’m so sorry, Minki,” she apologized again, pushing herself up onto her toes to give him a quick peck on the lips. 

   She should’ve known better, that he wouldn’t be mad at her for what happened, that he would trust her, but she still felt the need to explain. “Our leader went missing, and no one has been telling me anything. They just showed up, and I didn’t know what to do? Because our leader wasn’t here to tell them no. A-and no one really listens to me like they should... so.” Furrowing her brows, she nestled up against him once more and inhaled deeply, letting the scent of him calm her. She was surprised to hear that Minho wasn’t that upset about it-- especially given he was so high up in the Lost Boys. He hadn’t been there during the raids and whatnot, however, so it made sense that he might not be as angry... “That’s good, right? Means maybe he won’t...make us end things? I don’t want to end things with you.” 

   Her lip began to quiver, tears rising in her eyes at the thought of it. Perhaps it was because she’d been drinking, or because she was so sensitive-- maybe she was just emotional after everything that had happened. She’d been so desperate for attention, and love her entire life. It’d taken this long to find a relationship that was real. Her only other interest had been someone that took advantage of her, and there was nothing real about it. But Minki was different. She loved him, and she knew he felt for her. (( Maybe not love, but she hoped so. )) That was what made the idea of them no longer being together so difficult for her. Sniffling, she nodded, “I-i’m okay, yeah. We’re okay..”
