‘ we should get on that, actually. ’
“i couldn’t agree more. though i think it might just be you, walden and myself. we need to inspire people to read more.”
waldeniisms:
Walden smiled as he shelved some books at the book store. “I love my job for that reason,” he smiled. “It gives me the opportunity to be around all these great books. I’m always finding cool new things.”
“I’m glad we’re on the same page. Books are just such a gift to this world, it makes me sad they’re not appreciated in full. People only want them when they need to write papers.”
“You know what this town could really use? A book club. Don’t you think so?”
@falinebb
“Literature is so underappreciated,” she said, shaking her head. “I wish that more people would take time to recognize its beauty. I like that I have you here with me.”

mateogarciax:
“Well… you have a point,” Mateo admitted with a shrug. “But I can’t really give many more details… maybe I should just whip out my phone and show people a picture of her… then again, I’d be worried a drunk kid wouls break it or someone would steal it.” He chuckled, eyes skimming over the club critically. “Honestly, with my luck… she already left this place and I’m here for nothing anyways.” A smile then settled on his features, one brow working questioningly. “What’re you doing here, though? Wouldn’t have thought that you frequent sex clubs,” he teased.
“I think that you’d probably be better off with showing a picture, you might get a bit further in your search if you went about it that way. I mean, at least I’d think so. Just keep a tight grip on it, and you’ll be good to go,” she said. “Wouldn’t that be unfortunate for you?” she asks, shaking her head. “Oh, I don’t frequent sex clubs. I’m here to observe, I think it’d make my writing more... authentic if I had some experience, and actually witnessed some things. You know?”
stellabriarwood:
“Fair enough,” Stella shrugged. “Probably won’t be the funnest of parties you’ve ever experienced but every man their own,” she grinned.
“You know, my great grandpa always said that you don’t need booze to have fun, and I agree. You can have just as much fun sober as you can when you’re drunk.”
mateogarciax:
Mateo was most definitely not a party-goer. When he drank, he drank with a small group of friends, keeping to himself and enjoying it with card or video games… But a place like this – wasn’t really is kind of thing. It was, however, his sister’s scene. So, when he got a call in the middle of a night from his grown-ass, adult sister, he got into his car and came to the event to pick her up… Only to find that she was no where to be found. “Great,” he muttered to himself, then turning to the nearest person who seemed slightly familiar. “You haven’t seen a brunette… slender… about this tall?” He asked, gesturing to show the presumed height of his sibling.
She wasn’t a party girl, she was a book girl, she liked being at home and in the comfort of her bedroom. She supposed what drew her here was simply the desire to observe, it would be useful for when she wrote her own novel one day. Grace furrowed her brows at his question, trying to come up with a response. “Um, that’s not a very descriptive image you’re giving me right there. Do you have any idea how many people could fit that description? You’ve gotta provide better details if you actually expect to find them.”
falinebb:
she quickly stood and smiled ‘ thank god it’s you, finally someone who isn’t into this. ’ she laughed.
“always nice to see a familiar face who feels the same way i do about these things,” she said with a smile. “how are you?”
stellabriarwood:
“I’m fine, sweetheart,” Stella responded to the girl’s words. “But your response makes me wonder if maybe… I should be the one buying you a drink? The offer stands.”
Grace shook her head, grimacing at the girl’s words. “I don’t want a drink,” she told her. “I have to work in the morning and getting trashed probably isn’t a good idea.”
falinebb:
the little blonde had been told not to huff by carmen, yet she was was. she pushed through the crowd until she got back outside and dropped her fake id, sighing as she moved to lift it before someone walked into her by accident. ‘ shit, sorry. ’ she yelped, pushing her glasses up her nose.
grace needed to get away from the scene for awhile, and fresh air was always a good thing. she wasn’t paying much attention to where she was heading, hence the reason she collided into the other. she wasn’t angry, she figured it was her fault. “no, no .. it’s fine,” she assured the girl with a smile. “i’m not hurt, you don’t seem seriously hurt. no harm, no foul.”
stellabriarwood:
Already slightly tipsy, but not quite intoxicated enough for her own taste, the brunette approached someone from behind, resting a hand upon their elbow in the process of leaning forward with a sly smile on her lips. “You should buy me a drink.” Stella was shamelessly rocking a high-waisted skirt that rode up pretty much all of her thighs along with a crop top to the opening of Exposure… She would be damned if she wasn’t standing on top of the bar, dancing like the professional dancers were up on stage.
She wasn’t sure what possessed her to actively decide to attend a party, but she wasn’t trying to think about that too much. Grace scrunched her nose at the girl who suggested she buy her a drink. There was no way in hell that was going to happen. “I’ve got the impression that you’ve already had plenty to drink, so it’s a no from me,” she told her simply. “You should probably go for something a little lighter... Like water.”
