Texas hold 'em. I got a knack for bluffing my ass-butt off. She blushed, forgetting to filter her language momentarily. So how 'bout it Jules? A quick game of poker and the loser has to do chores for the rest of the week. All the chores.

 Hey, I can respect that. Frienemies? Sounds like some Glee bullshit, but sure I’m game. Besides, I’m kind of into your sister.
Becca? Haha, you can have her. She's so uptight she could use some stress relief. But y'know...I'll have to destroy you if you hurt her. She's kinda sensitive.
 Charlie laughed as she pictured it, giving a nod as she turned forward and leaned into Grace’s taller form. “Oh wow, look at you, and it’s not like you can scratch a zombie to death. Well you could, I guess, but it’d be like really really messy.” Grinning at the blond as they headed back towards her tent, Charlie sighed, her head resting on her best friend’s shoulder. “Think things will really get easier?”
"Ew, nasty walker skin under my nails? No thank you." Grace shook her head in disgust. "Easier? Maybe not...not with those things out there." She said with brutal honesty. "But we're strong, this camp...our people, together we'll get stronger." She reassured. "Soon the Z's will fear us, a force to be reckoned with." Grace said with a lighter heart.

 Hey, kid, it’s okay. I’m not made of glass even if I look like it. Quite the arm on you.
Yeah, a girl learns quick how to throw a punch after being dropped into an apocalypse. You want to call a truce? Frienemies?
 Charlie hugged back and let Grace lead her, smiling softly at her blond friend and appreciating her once more for the amazing friend she was. “That sounds wonderful. We can torture him with our girl talk and see if he’ll let us talk him into a manicure! I still have a nail file and a bottle of nail polish I found in the bottom of my bag. I didn’t even mean to pack it, I must of left it there after our last trip.”
"I can already see Julian's face." Grace laughed softly, putting an arm around Charlie's shoulders as they walked together. "We can corner him at the back and give him the best mani pedi ever." Sticking out her tongue she ran a hand through her straw colored hair. "I might have to borrow that nail file, I look like a cat." Grace said, holding up a hand, curling her long fingernails.

Hey...Fairground. I um, wanted to...apologize for earlier...Hitting you. It was uncalled for and...Yeah, sorry.
Grace: Stop right now...
 As she gaped at her sister she was torn between consoling, or reprimanding her for her actions. With a quick shrug of her shoulders, and high pitched remark Grace pretended to have no idea what the concern was about.  Becca knew that she was in for it because Grace was still ready for battle. She took a calming breath before she spoke. “Please Grace…Just talk to me.”
Her sister’s next barb about sucking face floored Becca to the point where her jaw dropped. How the hell did she find out about that? She immediately went on the defense with her  own voice rising. “What ever happened back there wasn’t about me kissing Fair. So why don’t you act like an adult for once, and talk to me about it rather than throwing a damn temper tantrum.” Â
Knowing they weren’t going to get anywhere she attempted to bring it down a notch. She paused for a minute to compose herself and asked in a softer voice. “Grace…please I’m on your side. Let me see you hand.”
"So you did kiss her! I knew it." Grace shook her head, narrowing her eyes. "I'm not perfect Becca, I can't get along with everyone." She muttered under her breath as she turned to face Becca directly. With a sigh she walked back to her sister, lifting her right hand so Becca could look at it.
"I didn't even hit her that hard..." Grace said gruffly, eyes focused on the ground. This bickering between siblings happened every once and awhile, their age difference made it harder. Becca had become her mother in the last year, she was the only one Grace trusted completely with her life. But they were still sisters and still had their cat fights.
"She's been flirting with the guy I like..." Grace admitted. "That's why I hit her." She frowned guiltily. "If I apologize will that get you at least somewhat off my back?" The blonde asked with a batting of her eyes.
 "Don’t worry, I’ll teach you. I’ve been playing with Luke and Shane for a long time. I’ve even beat Luke once or twice." She froze at first when Grace tried to tug her to her feet so they could get out of the tub, looking up at her friend with no short measure of indecision. Finally, with a sigh, she gave in and got up slowly, crawling over the side of the tub and following her out, though she paused at the door, hesitated before she stepped through. "Thanks, Grace."
Grace squeezed Charlie's hand with an easy going smile. "Anything for a sister."Â She hugged the brown haired girl quickly, pulling the door open and leading Charlie out of the bathroom and into the main room of the cabin. "I'm sure Julian wouldn't mind if you want to stay in the RV tonight, it'd be like a sleepover." Grace offered softly. "We can braid our hair, talk about boys, just this time...not in an old tub." She teased.
Has anyone seen my iPod?
 Wylie was skeptical about the teenager but he stayed put because he didn’t have anything better to do. Instead, he just watched her dart off only to return moments later with cards and a baggie full of weed. He grinned. He couldn’t believe it.
Wow… just… wow. He said, shaking his head as he looked at the marijuana. It would make a good trading point if he won it off her, which he was sure he would. He held his hand out for the cards, just looking at Grace.
Depends, I got a duffel bag full of cigarettes and sour patch kids. Have your choice, kid, because the pickings are slim.
C'mon, candy? I'm not five Wylie. And why would I want smokes if I've got this? Grace put a hand on her hip, rolling her eyes at him. I make it worth your while...You make it worth mine.

I can’t help it. If I don’t worry for you, who will? And for Becca? You’re right, they wouldn’t, but… just in case they did. He winked and smiled against the kiss on his cheek. He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a gentle squeeze. You’ll need more help than that if you plan on feeding everyone. Let me know what you need… I’ll get it all sorted out.

I ran out of toothpaste
 Ha! I’ll gladly take your dinner in exchange for helping you with your hairy legs. But, yes! You’re such a pretty girl. I just want to put makeup on you… just for fun.
Mama and I used to do each other's makeup all the time. Becca too, we'd sit in the bathroom for hours play fighting with lipstick and foundation. Can I do yours?
 "Well…." She grinned. "We can just invade his tent, I know for a fact he’d have nothing bad to say about that. Besides, he likes cards so we can school him in a game of poker. I’ve already done it once before." She held back the fact that during that game she’d won her first kiss from Noah. "Don’t stress about it, let’s just, let it happen, okay?"
"Okay okay, but first I gotta learn how to play poker." Grace said with a nod, taking her friend's hand. "It's been lovely sitting in this tub...and stinky communal bathroom but how 'bout we go walk around a bit?" She suggested, trying to stretch her cramping arms and legs. "C'mon babydoll, lets go. Up up up." Grace urged, standing, her hand still holding Charlie's.
Grace: Stop right now...
Becca left Fairground and  went in search for her sister. Finally spotted she called out to her. “Grace James, don’t you dare move…we need to talk.”
Grace stopped in her tracks to throw a glare over one shoulder at her older, though shorter, sister. "About what?" She asked innocently with a shrug of her shoulders. Her hand still hurt from hitting Fairground but she would take care of that later, when Becca wasn't watching.
"Stay out of my business Becca, I'm sixteen years old, do whatever I want." Grace growled. "So why don't you go back to sucking face with that snake and leave me alone."
I ran out of toothpaste
 I know, little tiger, you won’t do anything bad. If anything, you’ll be excellent at it. I have faith in you. He smiled at her, pushed her hair back and tucked it behind her ear. Hm… perhaps that’ll be a good idea. Some of them don’t seem so friendly, though, so please be careful.
You worry too much Julian, I can hold my own. Besides, I'm your girl, they wouldn't dare mess with me when you're around. She gave an innocent smile, standing on tiptoes to kiss his cheek. I'll talk to Charlie about it, heavens know I'll need her help if I plan on feeding everyone.
 "Yeah, but… what can you do, right? Wanna know the real kicker? He likes girls, too." Charlie looked over at Grace and shook her head, though she sort of had to think about how to explain Noah. "Noah is…. open.. I guess? I don’t think he really cares about gender, as long as he clicks with you and he’s attracted to you then he’s game. That’s sort of just how he is, you know? Open, and nonjudgmental. That’s what I love most about him. That and he can always make me smile."
"I've only talked to Noah once or twice, to be honest. I don't know much about him. But you're right about him being a smile machine, every time we talked I couldn't help but smile." Grace got a dreamy look in her eyes as she said this, resting her chin in the palm of her hand. "How are we going to do this Charlie? It's not like we can invite him to come to a movie and we all hangout." She scrunched her nose, one of her many habits.
