La Mia Ragazza Rockey Chapter 40
(*Two days before the Charity Event*)
Rockey laid on her bed, her gaze towards the white ceiling above her. Her mind was racing, and unfortunately for her, all she could think about was Raffa (much to her annoyance). He had infiltrated her mind, and had made a permanent residence there. It made it difficult for her to act like her normal self. She spent most of her time (when the kids are at school) in her room daydreaming and taking naps.
It was also hard for her to be in the same room as him; it was obvious to her that he was not comfortable either. ‘Maybe he didn’t like me? Maybe he was absolutely drunk, and regretted the entire night? It was just supposed to be a little kiss, AND that didn’t even happen, so why are we bugging?’ The questions that kept on plaguing her mind left her feeling depressed. Since Raffa was probably the most stubborn, infuriating man she has ever had the misfortune of knowing; he wasn’t going to reveal how he felt. Though ignoring her definitely screamed “NOT INTERESTED”.
Just as Rockey was about to nod off to sleep (to probably have another raunchy ass dream about Raffa), she was interrupted by a knock at the door. The thought of Raffa being on the other side of the door quickly flashed in her mind. The speed in which she leapt out of bed was almost impossible to quantify. But just as she reached the door, she stopped.
Her heart was pounding; she didn’t know what to expect. The person knocked again, this time a little louder.
“Rockey! It’s me Nico. Can we talk?” Nico yelled.
With a shocked (and confused) expression, Rockey opened the door to reveal Nico with two bottles of wine, and two glasses. Nico was officially her favorite person.
“Nico, why won’t you marry me?!” Rockey asked, only half serious. Nico was less of a headache than Raffa.
“Are you sure you’re talking to the right brother?” Nico responded with a wink. Rockey’s face turned a bright red; Nico couldn’t help but laugh at her adorableness. All Rockey could do to respond was open the door wider, and invite him in.

It was just after dinner, and Rockey was getting the kids ready for bedtime. They were all squished into one of the available bathrooms, all fighting for their own toothbrush. The bathroom felt chaotic, but was filled with laughter and silliness.
While Rockey and Bianca were trying to hogtie Matteo, Gio quietly walked out of the bathroom. With his blanket on one hand, and two toothbrushes on the other, he made his way towards his brother’s office.
Raffaele was alone; Nico and Celia had left a few minutes earlier. Raffaele wanted to be by himself; he was also lost in his thoughts. But when his little brother showed up at his door, holding up a toothbrush to him, he knew he was not going to get a chance to be alone.
Gio made himself comfortable on top of Raffaele’s lap, moving certain paperwork around as if he was working. Raffaele allowed him to do what he wanted; he was too tired to stop him.
Gio took out a pen, and was about to draw on a loose piece of paper on the desk. Raffaele quickly grabbed an actual blank sheet, giving him something else to draw on. “Hold up Gio; take this instead.”
Raffaele and Gio sat there in complete comfortable silence; as Gio was drawing, Raffaele was gently stroking his hair.
There was a time where Raffaele thought Gio was his son. It wasn’t hard for Raffaele to jump to the conclusion. Rebecca found out she was pregnant a month or two after Raffaele went to prison. Raffaele was delighted, to say the least. He wanted to be a dad. He wanted to start his own family. The entire time there, he thought she had remained faithful to him. As soon as he found out they were siblings, Raffaele couldn’t even look at Gio. He knew Gio had nothing to do with anything; it was just hard for him to see the final product of his father and the woman he once loved.
It took time for Raffaele to get used to Gio; but once he did, Raffaele was completely smitten by him. Oddly enough, Gio reminded Raffaele of himself; everything down to the food they hate. Oh how his life would have been different if Raffaele were his father.
All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door. “Come in.” Raffaele said.
The door slowly opened to reveal Rockey; she had been looking for Gio for a few minutes. Raffaele’s heart began to pound the second he saw her. He even skipped eating dinner with the family, because he couldn’t look at her.
The second Rockey saw Raffaele, she brought her gaze to the floor. Her cheeks were rosy red, and her voice became more gentle. “Sorry, I didn’t know you were busy. A certain someone needs to brush his teeth.”
“You heard her, time to brush your teeth.” Raffaele said, poking Gio a few times in the back. Gio let out a little giggle and jumped off of his brother’s lap, leaving his masterpiece on the desk. He drew the family: Matteo, Bianca, himself, Raffaele (which looked the funniest), Nico, Arthur, Antonio, Celia, and Rockey. Rockey and Raffaele were the closest in his picture.
Just as Gio walked out of the office, Rockey turned to leave but stopped. Something had come over her. Maybe it was the five hour long conversation she had with Nico? Maybe it was the neverending frustration Raffaele caused her on a regular basis? Maybe it was the urge to provoke the beast that she heard so much about? Whatever it was, it was pushing her to start some trouble.
Before Raffaele could say or do anything to stop her, she began walking up to his desk, and continued until she was right next to him. Her perfume immediately wafted his nose. ‘God she smells great.’ Raffaele thought. His heart was beating wildly; she was so close to him. Just as he was about to open his mouth, she gently cupped his face and kissed him.
The kiss lasted for a few seconds, but it left this titillating electric feeling all over Raffaele’s body. Before he could wrap his arms around her, she pulled away. His lips began to feel off…like it was already missing the feel of her lips on his?
“Suffer.” she said, eyeing him seductively. With that, she turned around and walked right out. It took Raffaele a few minutes to realize what just happened.
