Say what you will, but I didn’t think the movie was all that bad.
I don’t know how you can even say that. The camerawork, the actors, the story -- all shit.

…Cute hat.
I’m quite proud of it. Personaly, I think it might be better than anything I actually own.
Oh, come on, you don’t know where it’s been.
Can’t be much worse than anything from my floor. Have you seen my room?
I found a hat.
“Oh come on! Don’t be such a Debbie Downer, Grant!”
“If anything go for the free food.”
“Me, a Debbie Downer? Wow, it’s like you don’t know me at all. Free food, though -- that might actually make going worth it.” Grant paused in fake-thought. “Nope, never mind. It still sounds awful.”
Are you even still alive?
“Yeah, I don’t really get prom. Well I’ll keep you updated on the idiocies of our generation throughout the night.”
“I look forward to it. I will do nothing but sit and wait for your updates all night long.”
Are you even still alive?
“It’s only Gail. She’s not my date date. Obviously.”
“Oh, right, of course. Sorry. But I still don’t think she’d appreciate that too much.”
“I get to vicariously live my prom through you guys. Of course that’s exciting!”
“That’s about the least exciting thing I can think of - even less than actually living your own prom.”
Are you even still alive?
“I don’t think i’ll be quite used to your profound use of sarcasm, dear friend. No but really, please come so at least there’s someone else there to make fun of it with.”
“I don’t think your date would be too happy about that.”
“You don’t enjoy much when you’re a chaperone.”
“Then why are you excited?”
Are you even still alive?
“Well I’m just trying to see what could possibly make prom so enjoyable for you. The whole thing is an utter waste of time if you ask me.”
“Absolutely nothing. It is a complete waste of time. Come on, you’ve known me for how long? Did you really not pick up on the sarcasm?”
Are you even still alive?
“Oh normally I wouldn’t ask, but since I’m somehow going I thought that maybe the world had started to spin the wrong way or something. God R, it’s just hit me. You’re not going to spike the punch, are you?”
“That’s an interesting theory. Maybe I should test it later. Don’t be ridiculous. Of course I’m not going to spike the punch. Why would I waste perfectly good alcohol on someone else when I could just drink it myself?”
Are you even still alive?
“Sure seems that way. So, are you actually going to prom with anyone? Apparently it’s the question of the moment.”
“Now Eric, dear, I want you to think about that question for a minute and ask yourself who I could possibly be going to prom with. Really ponder the question. Take your time.”
“O c’mon, Grant! Think of the dancing! The disco lights! The dresses and tuxedos! It’s not all bad choices.”
“Eh, still not really my thing, but you enjoy yourself.”
Are you even still alive?
“You’re really going all out with the compliments today. Well lucky for you, I have enough to last the both of us.”
“Am I? Must be your lucky day. And I’m pretty sure you have enough to last this entire freaking town.”
Are you even still alive?
“Thank you… I think? Roosevelt, one day you’ll get it.”
“I wouldn’t count on it, but then again, you wouldn’t be you without that optimism.”
“Yes well, Gail’s making me go. So I suppose your prom just got better.”
“Suppose it did. I’m sure that’ll be fun. Never thought I’d see the day.”
