Its come to light that puma, who she is partnering with, is based in the occupied Palestinian territories, which is what some speculate is the reason she refused to criticise israel.

2/2) Between this and it being revealed that her make up company used Indian child labour for her fenty beauty line, I cannot in good conscience support her financially. Rih, I love you, but you aint getting my coin no more, its now going towards the charities that support Palestine, and smaller WOC owned beauty companies, of which there are many who deserve so much love and support, some which I found through this very blog!

Making a new post since that tends to help.

My friend Charlotte is a trans woman with Lupus living out of her van. She has dealt with frequent harassment, violence, and instability while homeless and she needs support. She needs at least $160 raised by tomorrow (05/14) for a student loan bill, and more if possible for other upcoming expenses. Ideally trying to save up at least $500. As a biochemical engineer who literally studied this shit, I'd like to throw my two cents in. The process of making pharma grade insulin is actually super easy and cheap on an industrial level. It take a little more than a dollar to make a vial (approx. 1000 units) of insulin, so how can a company charge over $1000 per month for people to get all they need?

Easy, there are only three ways to make insulin cheap and all three ways are patented. And these companies have some serious weight to throw around when it comes to stopping anyone from figuring out the process or trying to reverse engineer it.

This isnt a matter of scarcity. It's a matter of private companies trying to strangle every last penny out of poor and working class people.
