The Lady of the Lake’s (canonical) motivation for stealing baby Lancelot was that he was the most beautiful baby in the world. He was the prince of (and presumed heir to) a kingdom that had just been annexed and his father had just died of grief while fleeing but the Lady of the Lake spirited Lancelot away while his mother wept over the corpse of his father because he was cute. No other reason. His pretty privilege saved his life for the first time in infancy and went on to stop and cause wars.
All offense when will donald trump die
I say we gotta start haunting this awful little man. get out your ghost and demon costumes. dress like his dead wife after she clawed her way out of the grave. follow him wherever he goes and pay overt and unsettling attention to no one but him. convince his addled, rotten mind he’s already in hell.
we can do it! be the change you want to see in the world!!
the mind is uncomfortable and the body she is also uncomfortable
"Hello from the edge of the Universe!"
An NPC Calista from @viridiandruid's many games. A totally Normal Astronaut (from the real-world Earth, but the setting we play in is very much NOT EARTH) that I have Totally Normal Feelings About. He conjured such a vivid image in my head when she was first introduced, and we've chatted about her a lot more since then. The more I know about her, the more I'm just in love with her. She's Laika-coded for those who care. Also, she's in a toxic yuri relationship with a world-devouring tiger who kills her in every timeline.
thinking again about how dean was - and i don't use this phrasing lightly - losing his sanity in season 15. justifiably, but still. he was questioning every layer of his reality. and that was not resolved. at all.
#oh god like he died and he didn’t even know if any of anything was real like #his whole worldview was shook and then they were the only ppl in the universe for a good day or so and then everything went back to normal #AND then he died ?!? #there was like never an answer to any of his questions !!!!
@cinderellarhea thank you for so precisely articulating what's been bothering me about this!!! yeah that's it!!! he didn't know what was real and he was fighting so hard to believe it was real and it mattered, and then chuck took everyone else away, which is a pretty goddamn good argument for "nothing is real." and then they beat chuck and jack fixed everything, right? except chuck crying in the dirt and jack bringing the people back isn't actually evidence of anything. it's definitely not concrete evidence of reality. so even if dean got through all that and decided yes, this is real, they are free, everything is totally fine and cool now...well for one cas didn't come back. dean demanded chuck bring cas back and that never happened. and even if cas had come back, dean died anyway. he died and when he woke up bobby was there in a rocking chair to hand him an el sol and say "everything is great!"
and not saying these arcs were handled well by any means, but sam's "what is real" s7 arc had closure. cas took sam's cage trauma, no more lucifer, no more questioning reality. cas' "what is real" s8 arc had closure. naomi altered cas' reality, metatron killed her, no more questioning reality (ignoring surprise naomi resurrection because i think it's absurd). dean's "what is real" s15 arc ended with chuck alive. and while i'm glad dean didn't kill chuck, it's hard to shut the door on "what is real" when the being who's been manipulating reality is still alive and kicking.
literally! the unresolved nature of dean's crisis of reality haunted me so much that i wrote a fic abt it
Their intention was to leave everyone wondering what is real in a what the fuck way
i think why i really like erectile dysfunction natural is that it pushes back against the idea of that if someone doesn’t bazinga in THE moment then they don’t actually want it (but there are soooo many things that interfere with real desires and going after those desires: depression, grief, suicide, a looming deal, worry, crisis after crisis after crisis)
the same way getting aroused against your will with an abuser doesn’t prove you secretly want that
This sketch is incredible. Perfect moment to capture. 10/10 for the artist.

For anyone wondering, the PhD student's name is Myra Cheng.
Here's a link to an article about the study from the Stanford Report: link.
Across three preregistered studies, participants interacting with sycophantic AI became more convinced of their own rightness and less willing to repair relationships. Yet at the same time, participants rated sycophantic AI models as higher quality, more trustworthy, and more desirable for future use, which may explain why this behavior has persisted despite its harmful impacts.
