This is actually v important and needs to be reblogged
Gonna just share this:
My European Studies professor decided a few weeks ago to take a Friday and instead of following the syllabus, he spent the entire hour and a half comparing Hitler’s actions from a European perspective to that of what Trump is doing in America. He never repeated a single point, and even used video and photos like this to show the comparison.
To make things better, he had us do an in class assignment for participation points. He first played a clip on youtube of one of Hilter’s speeches, subtitled and 3 minutes long. He then played a clip of one of Trump’s rallies. Our assignment? Copy down every single sentence that matched in translation down on a sheet of paper or a word document that wasn’t repeated. The person with the closest amount to what my professor found got a candy bar.
My professor found, in just three minutes of a speech, that Trump matched 65 different phrases/sentences to that of Hitler’s translation.
65 nearly identical phrases used in his speeches. Take a moment to think about that.
Like, according to Trump’s first wife Ivana he kept a book of Hitler’s speeches in his nightstand and would read it periodically… so the overlap is not at all surprising given his obsession with Hitler’s propaganda.
“Don’t compare Trump to Hitler though.” - Conservatives
I’m honestly disturbed and disgusted….
The resemblance is uncanny
Impeach Trump.

PLEASE SHARE THIS USEFUL INFORMATION IT COULD SAVE LIVES
This has happened to me before when I was in college at a frat party. This girl comes squeezing herself in between me and my friend and throws her arms around me. “Amanda, I am so glad you decided to come!” I was so confused and just figured she was drunk and mistaked me for someone else, until I saw the panic on her face. She leaned close and whispered that a guy was following her, was certain that he had put something in her drink and if I would please play along. I looked behind her and sure enough, some creep was watching her like a hawk. We invited her to hang out with us the rest of the night and even waited until her ride showed up just to make sure she was safe. Always look out for each other!
If you ever feel scared like this just come up to me like we have been friends since kindergarten, call me any name u can come up with ill play along.
Stay together, stay safe
Perfect advice. I’m reblogging this as a guy, because first of all, if you”re a guy : DON’T DO THAT. Don’t be that creep.
And if you’re a guy and you notice some creep is following or stalking a girl, and that she’s obviously uncomfortable or panicked, go ahead and say hi, long time no see, pretend to be her cousin, and tell her discretly you noticed there was a shady guy. Ask her if something’s wrong, if she feels unsafe, if she wants your help (very important - she may not trust you enough, no one could blame her, don’t take it personally). (and don’t you dare take advantage of the help you offered for a flirt opportunity, that would make you no better than the creep)
We can all stop “witnessing and do nothing”, and set an example.
Alternative option for a guy: if you feel safe doing so, go up to the creeper who’s following her and be like “hey WHAT’S UP bud do you like SPORTS? My favourite team is the redsox what’s YOURS my man? What you DRINKING dude that looks GOOD.” and be friendly and just loud enough to blow his cover. Draw attention to him and see what he does. He won’t feel as safe creeping if he knows people are looking at him, and maybe he’ll leave. It also means the woman won’t have to worry that you are *another* creeper she has to be wary of, and you may distract the bad dude enough to give her a chance to lose him.
Reblogging for that last comment.
NO THIS NEEDS TO BE BOOSTED
Alternatively, spill your drink on the creeper, or bump into him so he spills his. Apologize loudly and bro-ishly. Offer to help him clean it up, over there (away from the woman he’s creeping on). Don’t take no for an answer. I
Well, considering that I am paranoid, I will likely to think you’re in cahoot with the stalker and trying to stall me so the creeper can catch up. In my best scenario, it would be helping if you - dunno, probs shout to him ‘hey dude in black jacket, you drop this! “ (it can be random junk) and made him pause for a while checking and you goes’ really? Not yours? I swear totally sees you dropped it, sorry my bad” . It shifted his attention to you though. If you are with friends you can counter following him and repeat the harassment if he persist his chasing
I understand that logic and rationalizing with statistics (alone) isn’t enough to overpower hypervigilant fear most of the time (I’ve personally never had any paranoid disorder - at least, I don’t think that PTSD falls under that umbrella? - but anyway, I can at least relate to an extent) - so let me just say that if you suffer from any paranoid disorder, and you manage to work through that overwhelming fear to help protect the person that’s far more likely to be the one in real danger anyway, than you are stronger than a goddamn Hypernova and admirably selfless and you deserve everything that’s good and pure in this world and I salute you.
All of this is absolutely excellent for everyone to keep in mind, so please signal boost this!! WATCH OUT FOR EACH OTHER AND STAY SAFE.
I mean... worth a try.
Sad News
*I’m not sure if any of you heard, but redkammy’s cat, Chester, passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning. If you are waiting on a commission from her, please be patient while she grieves. Losing a pet isn’t easy, especially when it’s out of the blue.
*Unfortunately, the emergency vet bills are also a huge financial burden for redkammy. I’m including her Ko-fi link here if you’d like to make a donation to help out. If you can’t donate, please consider reblogging.
*Above all, please remember to be kind and understanding. This is a very hard time for redkammy, and we should really be showing her the love and support of our online community.
Ko-fi link for redkammy: https://ko-fi.com/redkammy
P.S. Hug your pets if you have any. We never know how long we have with them.
I really can’t think of anything else to say other than thank you to you and to everyone who has shown their support. I really wasn’t expecting this so it took me by surprise. I’m overwhelmed.
I’m going to continue work on plushies and commissions again tomorrow. I have been spending the last two days keeping busy with cleaning and doing some home repairs. I’m pretty sure I am not the only one but I rather keep busy, busy, busy than to dwell on things, even if from time to time I have to stop and cry when I find a toy or my other cat looks around the house for his friend.
We’ll be ok. It will just take time.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all of your well wishes and tomorrow I’ll post about what I’m going to offer in the way of new commissions to help us with the emergency vet bills.
THE QUEER CRISIS COLLECTIVE 2014
WHO THRIVES? WHO DIES?
WHOSE BODY MATTERS?
WHOSE HISTORY SURVIVES?
WHO GETS POLICED?
WHO IS SAFE?
WHO IS MISSING?
When the rainbow flag was first designed in 1979, each color represented a different aspect of queer life, including hot pink for sexuality and turquoise for magic and art. By the 1980s, those two colors were removed and quickly forgotten about. We oppose the erasure, corporatization. and commercialization of any radical aspects of queer culture, and so, we reclaim the colors that remain:
RED IS FOR LIFE: WHO THRIVES? WHO DIES? Of what value is queer success in a system fueled by capitalism, racism, and misogyny? Why must the ascent or those who already have money, power, and health come before the lives of those who persist with nothing? What is the meaning of power for some or us, when far more of us must struggle for the resources we need to live? Who do we become when we ignore this injustice?
ORANGE IS FOR HEALING: WHOSE BODY MATTERS? The man who leaves the gay bar, alone, week after week—not young enough, tall enough, thin enough, light—skinned enough, buff enough, to catch anyone’s eye. The young person who is harassed in school by classmates while administrators tum a blind eye The person who can’t attend activist events because the venues aren’t wheelchair accessible. The college student who is raped on campus and leaves school, but whose rapist goes unpunished. The trans person whose health insurance doesn’t cover the services they need to stay alive and healthy. The woman who finds that wealthy, white, male legislators have more say over her reproductive health than she does. The worker whose sweat produces the food we eat, but who is underpaid, jailed, deported. Each is being told the same thing: Your body is not welcome here. But we know that everybody matters.
Every body matters.
YELLOW IS FOR SUNLIGHT (ILLUMINATION): WHOSE HISTORY SURVIVES? We walk in the foot-steps of those who came before us: the unnamed, unknown, and forgotten. The drag queens, fairies, fags; bull-daggers, dykes, whores. The beaten, raped, and murdered. The homeless kids hanging out on the piers. It was a black lesbian who threw the first punch back at police during the Stonewall Uprising—and it was a rebellion, not a riot. Our histories are many. But our voices have been silenced. Our stories have been retold and twisted into narratives that no longer resemble our truths, but parrot the ideas of those in power. We live in a world where complexity is reduced to easily digestible sound bites, where new ideas are tossed aside for the more familiar. How can we claw our way into the future when we do not know our past?
GREEN IS FOR NATURE: WHO GETS POLICED? Today, in the same neighborhoods where white gay men live comfortably, trans women and people of color are routinely harassed by the police. When queer and trans youth age out of the foster system, there’s literally a prison waiting tor them. We oppose the prison industrial complex that disproportionately incarcerates trans, black, and Latino people. We oppose the policing of our bodies and gender identities—not only by the actual police, but also by family members. employers, doctors, teachers, friends, our communities, and strangers on the street. We oppose a world where we, or anyone, are the objects of harassment. judgment, ridicule, shunning, violence, imprisonment, and murder.
BLUE is FOR SERENITY: WHO IS SAFE? Safety is capital We are coerced into thinking that we need to be safe, and it’s that delusion that pits us against each other. Capitalism is based on our isolation from each other; power thrives when we are balkanized. For someone to be protected, someone else has to be put in a cage. And cages make money. Space is also capital, and it is only safe when policed. Do we desire violence upon our bodies in the streets by random idiots? Fuck no, but nor do we desire violence at the hands at the police, our landlords, real estate developers, politicians, or each other.
PURPLE IS FOR SPIRIT: WHO IS MISSING? The ubiquity of the rainbow flag has replaced actual political engagement, and has turned those with less privilege into ghosts. Those with resources and a birthright to normativity are satisfied with having their rights served to them like it’s a five-course dinner. But who is missing? The erased are missing. The imprisoned are missing. The millions who have died of AIDS because of government neglect, or were murdered because they hate us, or committed suicide because they’ve made us hate ourselves, or perished from poverty because we lacked access to resources and medical treatment. Our ancestors are missing from our streets and our minds, as we forget our history. We stand with the missing. In every story:
who is missing? In every neighborhood: who is missing? In every room: who is missing? In every bar: who is missing? In every parade: who is missing? In every dream: who is missing? In every rainbow: who is missing?
There’s no excuse for bullying.
“They’re weird!/They’re not normal!”
That’s your opinion, not a fact. What you really mean is “They’re not like me”. They’re not hurting anyone by not being like you.
“They’re cringey!”
Again, it’s just your opinion, and they’re not hurting anyone. Cringe culture is pointless anyway.
“They’re annoying!”
Once again, just your opinion. If you think someone’s annoying, why not just stay away from them? No need to be rude.
“They’re autistic!”
Shame on you. Get out of my face.
“They’re fat!/They’re ugly!”
And you’re shallow. So what if you don’t like the way someone looks? It’s not your place to make them feel bad about it.
“They’re [any non-straight sexuality]!”
Get out of my sight. This is the 21st century.
“They’re trans!”
See above.
“They’re just seeking attention!”
You don’t know that for a fact. And even if they really are seeking attention, you don’t have the right to shame them.
“It’s funny to pick on them!”
Shame on you if you think bullying is funny. Get a life.
“I was just joking around!”
That’s no excuse. There are other ways to have fun that don’t involve putting other people down.
“Words can’t actually hurt anyone!”
Wrong. Words do hurt, and sometimes they can hurt more than actual physical injury.
“I’m not a bully, they’re just too sensitive!”
Not everyone reacts the same way. If you weren’t so rude, there wouldn’t be anything for the victim to be “sensitive” about.
“I’m just speaking the truth!”
Honesty is great. But you can be honest and say what you think without being rude about it. There’s a fine line between ‘brutally honest’ and ‘downright rude’.
“I have freedom of speech!”
You do. But if you’re using your ‘freedom of speech’ to bully and shame others, then you’re abusing it.
“But-”
No.
I don’t care what ‘reason’ you pull out of your ass to try to justify bullying, it’s invalid. Bullying, whatever the reason is, is unnecessary, cruel, and totally pointless.
If you bully someone, you’re basically telling them:
“You don’t deserve to be happy”
“You’re inferior to me”
“Your feelings are a joke”
Is that really what you want to be telling people?
Is that really how you want to make people feel?
if you ever use the “freedom of speech” argument, you’ve probably lost. if your best point is “this isn’t technically illegal”, you’ve got nothing.

This is my cat, Brigitte.
24 hours after I brought her home, I got a mindblowing job offer. Since I adopted her nine years ago, my life has become an amusement park. She has brought me good luck ever since I took her into my home.
I’m telling you, there’s something about this animal. Good fortune follows her everywhere.
I don’t want to be selfish. I have everything I need and then some. So, I’m sharing her with you.
Reblog Brigitte and you’ll receive fantastic news in the next 24 hours.
And when you do, please remember to help your local SPCA and support them in the difficult work they do for wonder animals like Brigitte. Any donation helps your SPCA, even if it’s just five bucks.
Kitties like Brigitte are counting on you to give back when they bring you good luck.
Thanks, and congratulations on your good news!

It’s okay I wasn’t using that heart anyway.
We should all be more like Spider-Man.
