Exhausted.
For the first time ever, despite being obsessed with Metroid Prime when it came out, I’ve drawn Samus. And I think I did a pretty good job of it.
i was playing the first metroid prime before 4 dropped…. such an iconic game

A Fish Called Selma [S7 E19] (dir. Mark Kirkland)
Troy’s place, inside and out, is based on the Chemosphere, a house that was described as the most modern in the world back in the 60′s, hence Selma’s reaction as she comes in (”It’s so modern…it’s ultramodern. Like living in the not-too-distant future”). The three posters at the back are interesting. From left to right we have: ‘My Darling Beefeater’ (‘Beefeater’ is a slang term Yeomen Warders, those are the guards outside the Tower of London), ‘Incident at Noon’ (this appears to be a nod to ‘High Noon’, the classic western) and ‘Astro Heist on Gemini 3′ (or ‘Aboard Gemini 3′. Honestly it’s near impossible to make out the top words clearly, so your guess is as good as mine. The 70′s had a lot of space/sci-fi films with similar titles).
TURANGA LEELA! I love Futurama. It’s actually the show that inspired me to want to draw.
im literally always thinking about this funny little bart animation
Here’s a tiny section of rough boards I did for Soos and the Real Girl. I was super nervous, since this was my first episode, and some of these drawings are fairly mortifying. x.x I don’t know how Paul Robertson was able to interpret some of those Giffanies.
I was happy to get the section of Soos and Giffany in the mall because it has this nice little emotional beat of social anxiety –> comfort of the familiar.
