Every time I come across a "[insert any Gotham rogue] should be Batman's nemesis, Joker isn't a good narrative foil!" post I have to exercise vast amounts of self-control as to not explain why that is wrong, but what actually gets me about this take is that. Objectively, none of the Rogues make for the second best narrative foil/potential arch-enemy to Batman. It's actually Jason.

Wait this shit is even more insane than at first glance. So this is Joker's location prior to Bruce asking for deactivated cameras and recorders:

He's clearly in full view of the Batcomputer (and of Alfred and Dick), in a leather chair and with a lot more chains on. And here is where we see Joker after:

Bruce 1) took off the headphones and unchained Joker from the original chair and carried/dragged him to the wood one in a more secluded location that isn't as visible to others, 2) chained him again, presumably to the new wooden chair we see him in, and 3) probably leaned in real close to pull the zippers open and everything, so that Joker could see and talk-- which isn't all that necessary if all he wanted was for Joker to agree to his terms for a collaboration.

And all that, without cameras and microphones on, to do this??

What about this should've been kept from Dick and Alfred? As if they haven't seen Bruce beat Joker up before?? If it's about teaming up with Joker, it's to save Jim Gordon's life, they would entirely understand!

In other words, there is no heterosexual explanation for this and it's absolutely a delight =))

the concept of lois and clark both canonically killing the joker in front of batman then screaming at him for being upset about it is so funny tbh, like, power couple that shares the instinct of killing the joker and judging batman through multiple universes? and they both kill the joker in front of batman for extra drama. clark goes “ARE YOU BROODING BECAUSE OF YOUR DEAD BOYFRIEND INSTEAD OF BEING A GOOD FATHER AGAIN YOU TRAUMATIZED BASTARD” and not even moves when batman tries to angrily punch him meanwhile lois screams “SUPERMAN PULLED HIS PUNCHES BECAUSE HE ALWAYS FELT SORRY FOR YOUR BITCH ASS” and proceeds to straight up kill batman for the second time after he attacks???? clown murdering duo… batman ass whoppin couple. We stan.

reasonable villain enjoyers have it rough because on the one hand you have to deal with people who woobify your villain faves and sandpaper away their hard edges (and most interesting qualities) to make them soft uwu; on the other hand there’s the folks who think your villain fave is satan incarnate or act like it’s an actual moral offence to like a fictional character who does bad things
