I know someone already did a travel times thing for Origins, but I noticed a few inconsistencies between their maps/spreadsheets/data, so I figured I would just do one myself. I did pretty much the same thing that I did with the Inquisition travel times, and basically took the RPG map of Ferelden and overlaid that onto the regular map of Ferelden from the wiki and worked from there using the scale (and some possible routes I added in myself–the green-ish tinted pathways) to figure out the approximate travel times for everything:

Fereldan Fashion
Fereldan fashion is fairly straightforward to me, it has the most of the medieval fantasy vibes™. It’s the least fanciful and fussy, sort of akin to the fashion of the North in ASOIAF vs the fashion of King’s landing.
In the Art of Dragon Age Inquisition it says
“Orlais has it’s fineries, Ferelden its fur”
If were assuming that Ferelden has one of the coldest climates in Thedas, then the fur is eminently practical. I live in a city that, in the winter, can get down to -40 degrees celsius, without factoring in the windchill. This is so cold you can get frostbite within minutes and you’re advised to stay inside. On these occasions I wear my great grandmother’s fur coat and it is the warmest thing ever and more importantly it completely insulates me from the windchill. Fur is possibly the best material there is to stay warm. So for Fereldans it’s a practical choice.
As far as general fashion, medieval fantasy vibes™, but more practical, less enormous sleeves and floaty little capes.
Fitted bodices, fitted sleeves and long skirts with minimal flounce. There’s jewelry and little nods to the status of the wearer to be sure, but it’s less blatant then Orlais. Perhaps, if you look closely you can see that the fur mantle that Bann is wearing is made of silver fennec fur, or that Arlessa’s hair is pinned back with fine dwarven combs from Orzammar.
Luxury still exists in Ferelden, it’s just far more subtle than in Orlais.

When I first played through the game Alistair gave my Warden a rose after a fight in Redcliff and he was all bloody but the moment was so tender and cute!!AHSDFVJINDF I love that scene so much he’s so cute.
Anyway, Alistair is my truest love. I adore that goof.
He's just the sweetest thing. He tries to keep his head up despite so many circumstances keeping him down and I love how he steadily falls in love with the Warden. Like they're so soft and sweet. The rose!? In my gameplay, we had just finished fighting the werewolves in the forest and I accidentally started a convo with him and he gave her a freaking rose in the middle of a battlefield, he was covered in blood but still so gentle. 😭
And the little banter with the other companions them making fun of him when he's smitten with her. I could just die.
I love that even in a world full of fantasy beings and all sorts of opportunities for love, I still can't resist the most normal dorky guy in my group. 😔 (Alistair & Gale)
