I've been a bit busy writing.
This is Siegerunner, an HDG fic I've been working on for a little over a year. It's currently running at 31k words, and I'm proud enough of it to recommend it.
I'm currently working on a second act, which might release chapter-by-chapter, or might release in bulk.
Jasmine, an anxious trans woman on a planet recently conquered by the affini, seeks escape to Accord-controlled space, and finds it in the form of a ship of brazen, accord-associated smugglers called the Bridge Over Rubicon. As the fall of Terra grows more and more inevitable, this ship of smugglers deteriorates mechanically into ruin and socially into fascism, causing Jasmine to turn back to the Compact despite the fear she holds for the affini.
