exploring the coast on a foggy day
Here
Out front this morning. Things are getting out of hand! But I like it. 🌻🌸🌼
Did you have a happy childhood, and can you cut onions without crying?
I had a happy childhood and I can cut onions without crying
I had a happy childhood and I can't cut onions without crying
I didn't have a happy childhood and I can cut onions without crying
I didn't have a happy childhood and I can't cut onions without crying
I emerged from a ditch already fully grown/I've never been trusted with a knife
No nuance, if you had to hesitate at all, the answer is "no".
i am waiting for the context behind this one, because its always the most esoteric thing ever
There's a specific way of pacing your blinking frequency that you can learn to do to prevent tears from welling up if you can anticipate what, when, and how something is going to make you want to cry. I thought the correlation between knowing how to do that, and having an unhappy childhood, would be stronger than that.
I feel like you're always running some lowkey human science experiment with the polls whenever you end up on my feed.
I mean technically the biggest difference between "science experiment" and "fucking around and finding out" is taking notes.
I think it's mostly just starting with a hypothesis.

things will work out + it’s still early + not everything is lost + trees
I'm still amused when I think of last summer when a coworker said, "Oh, bullshit, you are not," when I mentioned that I was 43.
The 30 year old woman who owns the studio where I do pottery likes to make people guess how old I am because apparently no one believes that I'm 42? I think I look my age, but it's funny and somewhat flattering, I guess.
