Ghosts CBS Roamer Ghosts Theory

⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️

At the end of Season 5's "Across the Pond," we get a massive cliffhanger as Pete disappears completely in the car where he was coming back from a trip to London with Jay and Kyle.

There are many theories to might guess what happened to Pete or where he went, but I want to explore the reason roamer ghosts disappear in the first place.

As we know, roamer ghosts are ghosts who have the ability to leave the property but only for a certain period of time before they start to fade away BUT... what if there was more to the fading away than we and the ghosts realize?

What if fading away because you're away from the property for so long is actually more of a mental thing?

Hear me ouy!

Joan said that she builds more permanency because she travelled for many years but what if it was due to her thinking more that it's okay to be away from 'home?' Pete never went out in life and even in his afterlife to the point he never even tried leaving the property. Though Pete learned it's okay to explore and have a shot in the world, what if there's still a part in his brain that tells him not to stray from home? What if the reason roamer ghosts start to disappear is because they have a fear of leaving and never coming back to the place they will the most comfort? The place they knew? The place they learned to call home? And due to that fear, their ghost body starts to fade away due to that fear. It's psychosomatic, which your brain makes you think that you're in pain due to mental and emotional factors.

That being said, it wouldn't even a matter that you build up a tolerance to leaving the property to stay a little longer.

Take Chris for example. As far as we seen, that stripper is carefree and adventurous, so he doesn't worry as much as going away (which is probably why his ghost power is leaving the boundary by flying via parachute) so he doesn't fade away as quickly. This would explain why we haven't seen him because if he saw he's starting to disappear, he would touch the ground since he stated that he would return back to Woodstone if he did.

Joan and Pete on the other hand -especially Pete- are more cautious and anxious, leading them to fade away and have to return back to the property. Though Joan slowly learned she doesn't have to fear leaving, the fear is still there and still holds her back.

Sam and Jay's Child Headcanons Part 15

Yes... there's more...

As a baby, they would call Pete 'Pee' since they couldn't fully pronounces words or names. Everyone makes fun of him for months after that...

Speaking of words and names, their first word would be "Sam" since they hear their dad and ghosts call their mom that numerous of times. It would be a while before they refer to "Mom".

They took their first steps to Uncle Pete, who was proudly cheering them to come to him. Even though when they got to him and phase through him, as a baby they understood they couldn't touch him and clapped and cheered with everyone else.

They chase butterflies with Aunt Flower.

Uncle Trevor helped them make their own "T-Money" move, with their hands forming the first letter of their name.

Uncle Trevor starts to wrap his jacket around his waist so there's less of a risk of the child seeing what's down there.

They give Nancy the name "Auntie Fancy Nancy." And to be honest... everyone can't help but find it adorable.

Eugene taught the child magic tricks and love to show them to the cult and Grandpa Thor.

The Farnsbys grew to be fond of the child as well as the ghosts at their house (which they don't know about).

They laugh at Uncle Issy's jokes (though sometimes he does have to explain it to them)

When they have gossip, they get pizza and tea out so Uncle Sassy can smell them and the child would spill the tea.

Like the basement ghosts, they can sleep standing up. But no one knows how they learn to do that... Bonus: At school when they're feeling sleepy, the teacher would make them stand up. However, much to the teacher and their classmates' shock, this would be no problem as they fall asleep. Sam and Jay don't know what to tell them! It's just what they do.

At school, the child is known as the "child who talk to themselves," "the child with many talents," or "the nicest person in school.

Though they're sweet, they can serve the most BRUTAL and most VILE insults if they can. No one has ticked them off yet so they're safe... for now

I'm posting on Archive of Our Own (and maybe on Wattpad if anyone is interested) if you didn't know and I want your guys opinion of how you want the story posted.

Reading in one full fic means all the episode would be in one fic only. The episodes serves more as a guideline on how the fic is going to progress and there could be many chapters to it. Reading each 'episode' in a fic meaning each 'episode' would have a different fic and they won't be compacted into one.

I didn't want to make the decision without your opinions and I'm not just making this story for me.

I'm making for the people who stuck around and wanted to see where this story goes and see how the world of Ghosts would like with superheroes through my eyes.

I'm not saying my idea is original (I mean it is), I'm just showing how it would look like through my perspective and my mind and I always wanted to share that with people.

A Little Snippet of the Ghosts Superhero AU

If you were to ask Sam what she felt when she arrived at the door of Woodstone B&B, she would say that she felt… nothing. She thought she would feel something: nervousness, anger, hell maybe even happiness upon going up to the door that would grant her access to her estranged sister, to whom she hadn’t talked to for 14 years or so. 

Geez. Now that Sam thinks about it, she wonders if Hetty is even going to know who she is.

Ah yes. The Great Hetty Moore (well, now the Great Hetty Woodstone). The star sister, the smartest woman in the world, the person everyone thought Sam would look up to while she grew up. Sam would disagree with that last statement. She hated being in her sister’s shadow. Hated to hear “You need to be more like your sister.” Hated to be referred to as ‘Hetty’s little sister.’

They couldn't even think of learning her name!

Sam goes up the steps and knocks on the door. There was a beat or two and Sam starts to get angsty. Maybe she should turn around. Maybe Het-

“Samathana?”

Sam raised her head to see Hetty in her glory. She still has her orange curls, the pale skin, the stone-cold eyes. She hasn’t changed a bit.

“Yep, that’s me.”

The woman walked out of the house, or should Sam say mansion, and did something she never thought Hetty would do.

She hugged her.

“It’s nice to see you again, little sister.”
