My GF is a huge Taylor fan and has a serious disease. I’d love to get a message from Taylor to cheer her up.

My girlfriend is one of Taylor’s biggest fans. She is Maria, and almost 10 months ago she was diagnosed with a very rare autoimmune disease which causes necrosis in her muscles (death of cells). She’s only 22 and has had to give up everything she did in her life, as she can’t move or even open a bottle by her own.

In the next few days she will have another session of chemotherapy and other very aggressive treatments. She’s been holding on, always trying to smile, but the truth is everything is getting worse and she can’t take it anymore.

We’ve been together for 7 years, and these have been incredibly difficult months, full of pain and tears.

She’s losing hope, so I would love to give her a surprise and get a message from Taylor, or anything that gives her strength to keep fighting. I don’t know how it could be done, if it even could be done. She uses Instagram (mariajrus5) even though she doesn’t post any more pictures to keep this private, but I don’t really know what to do. I need her to believe that she will get better soon, cause she have to…

We spend the time in hospital watching Taylor’s shows, interviews, videos, etc. cause that’s the only thing that cheers her up, or at least makes her forget the pain for a moment.

Last year she went to London (we are from Spain) with her sister, just for Taylor’s concert.

I still remember one day in December 2014: I was at my friend's home with my best friends, we were listening to music together and then someone said "play the new Taylor Swift's song, Blank Space".

Obviously I already knew Taylor Swift but just thanks to her most famous songs, so I couldn't define me as a fan. When I came back home I couldn't stop singing Blank Space and I started searching on Google some informations about Taylor...the next days I listened to many songs, first of all her most famous ones, then all the others. I was really in love with that music, that sounds, the lyrics...

I remember as it was yesterday when on Twitter people shared the video of the first concert of 1989, and I couldn't believe my eyes, I swear. It was a wonderful concert, and all I could think about was "I'll never see a concert like this". I couldn't know what was to come, 3 years later, when my best friend came with me to London for the Reputation Stadium Tour.

At the beginning of this long story, I thought that it was just a "period", I mean it often happens to me: I like something so much that at the end it bores me. I was wrong: during these 5 years Taylor's music has always been there with me, every day. Not only her songs, but overall her person: she is genuine, smart, generous, sweet, honest, brave. She is the Woman of the Decade and today she turns 30 years old. Taylor you mean the world to me, you deserve the best because you are so special, we must protect you. Nowadays it is so hard to find a person as special as you are. I strongly believe in fate, so I think that in one way or another today I would anyway became a proud swiftie as I am today. I love you @taylorswift , happy birthday❤️
