Utterly obsessed with these reddit guys that bought tickets to the Ukraine front with the expectation of being some sort of urban sniper seal team six operator only to get stationed in a meat grinder bunker on the front lines where they spend three days without sleep from the mortal fear and anxiety of the constant Russian missile bombardments, at which point they crack and desperately try to flee to the polish border because turns out war is actually a horrifying ordeal of profound and needless human suffering.

I know there had to be a moment where they woke up and realized: "Oh, I've made a terrible mistake." And I am desperate to know what that moment was like for them.

objectively, i know it’s not /good/ to put so much of your happiness and health on, like, an animal. but my pets really have done so much to make my life a little more enjoyable. sincerely, every morning during the last few months when holing up in the house was all i wanted to do, devereux on the dot would obnoxiously open the curtains to watch the birds n stuff. and somehow just letting sunlight in was tremendous for me not wallowing

It’s funny but incredibly telling how entitled/ignorant/insensitive some of these people are… idk if it’s an education gap or purposeful ignorance.

The really bewildering thing to me is that I remember when you needed to get up and pull a dictionary off the shelf, or visit a library to look up the facts you needed. Now people have all kinds of information literally at their fingertips and they can’t be bothered to use it.
