As someone who also plays piano (and other instruments that require two hands) and who likes putting their favorite specimens through the torment nexus, nothing brings me more joy than the idea of Kris Dreemurr Deltarune losing a hand and with it their one of their only shown healthy coping mechanism/hobby

Not that disabled people can’t play instruments (I have Unspecified Lung Fuckery on top of sleep apnea and binding and I still play flute)- but that’s a whole physical recovery process on top of mental recovery and if you ever want to play your music again you have to go through a whole specialized pt routine because it’s completely different motions and muscle memory from everyday life and you’ll almost definitely need prosthetics or other aides.

Imagine going through the worst week ever and losing a limb and now your instrument that made you happy and brought you comfort and helped you connect with people in the past is irreversibly tied to that trauma and you very well may never reach your previous skill level ever again. Would that be fucked up or what.
