Dressers Require Laundry - Now for both laundry systems!
The update is finally here! I've taken my old dressers require laundry mod and made it more tunable, and thanks to @lamare-sims, it now works for their laundry system too! If you want a purpose to the laundry your sims do, this mod is for you!
With it, dressers have a laundry counter and once the counter is out, your sim cannot change their outfit anymore. In order to regain access, you must store away clothing piles obtained by doing laundry. With this updated version of the mod, Lamare's system will pick up on and trigger my code which gives clean piles of clothes in the sim's inventory upon emptying a dryer or drying rack.
Sorry about the swedish pie menu text, I was too lazy to fix it this time. Original post has more comprehensive video with english text strings.
What's changed - Still works for Sun and Moon clothing piles, but now also gives and accepts laundry pile made for Lamare's system (you can skip that file if you only use Sun and Moon). Will choose Lamare piles first, code can handle some of both in the same batch.
- Counter now updates dynamically, so that if something interrupts your sim putting away laundry you don't lose whatever piles had been stashed up until that point.
- More tunable! Through an easily editable BCON you can choose yourself which lots and outfits should be impacted. By default no outfit categories are allowed when dresser is empty (work clothes not included in mod), and laundry is required in residential lots, apartments, frats, dorms, uni residentials, and vacation homes.
- Debug interaction added that can add or remove laundry, for emergencies. If you would like your sims to get no freebies, you can delete the four BHAVs starting with Function - Init, and dressers will start with 0. I personally prefer this, using debug to give them some to start if I think they deserve it.
Lamare's laundry system specific code - Calculates laundry based on how many sims are in household. Default setting gives 3 per household member, due to the fact that sims can do laundry autonomously and neat sims are likely to do so daily. Can easily be changed in BCON.
- If laundry is done by a service NPC, the clean piles are given to the neatest sim in the household of age teen and up. This also applies if you have tuned Lamare's mod to not require emptying, laundry will appear in inventory automatically.
- At laundromats, default setting only gives laundry to the active household. If you want background playables to get laundry, you can toggle this in BCON.
- Clean clothing pile object can be found in general/dresser, costs 5 (to discourage cheating 😉). Cloned from Mustluvcatz' clothing pile in the under the stairs storage set. 1146 poly, 256x256 texture. I tweaked something code-wise but alas I do not remember what any more, sorry xD

If you like this mod, there is an add-on by @teaaddictyt that subtracts laundry count whether your Sim used a dresser or not, for the truly hardcore that want absolutely no freebies! 😁 You'll find it here.
Conflicts - Pregnancy wear any outfit and inteen compatibility have been built in, I decided it is less confusing to just have one version. This mod must load after both. If the concept of teen woohoo bothers you, go uncheck the teen flag on woohoo interactions in the instance 7 pie menu function resource. - Compatibility has also been built in for Picknmix's Specific Clothing Racks, must load after his. - Conflicts with AshtonLC3's Dress for School mod, if you use that mod please download this plugin and have the plugin load after both this mod and Ashton's. Does not matter which version of their mod you use.
Will conflict with anything that edits pie menus of dressers, and has potential for instance number conflicts in sink globals and shoppingrack globals, as well as text list conflicts in shopping rack globals.
Mod may not work on CC dressers, it depends on how they are made. Please see the original mod post for more info on this, and how you can fix it if you want to.

Additional Hampers & Clothing Pins clutter
These are functional hampers for Lamare's Simple Laundry system.
I have always liked Cashcraft's clothing hampers, but they only came with one recolor and you best believe my color trait loving self wanted the ability to match a hamper to a sim's color preference. The meshes have been tweaked to make easier to recolor, thank you Latmos for helping me fix the single one when it got complicated. @episims was kind enough to agree to make beautiful recolors for me that come in all color trait colors. They also made the adorable dirty state texture, complete with different colors for the sorting hamper because well the point is to color separate your laundry.
Epi also found the hilarious basketball hamper that Shasta converted from Sims 3, and because they know my sim Benny is obsessed with basketball they sent it to me and of course I had to make that one too. I tweaked the mesh a little, changing the sock to a nicer one and changing dimensions some. Uses Epi's full state texture.
They are all found in plumbing/misc. All of them fit under counters. Requires Lamare's Simple Laundry system, they will throw errors otherwise because of missing BCONs.
Sorting Hamper - 319 simoleons, 1722 poly, textures for the hamper are 512x512 and 128x512, full state texture is 256x256. Master file. Single Hamper - 179 simoleons, 1130 poly, 128x128 full state texture, otherwise repo'd to Sorting Hamper Basketball Hamper - 250 simoleons, 873 poly, hamper texture is 512x256, full state texture is 128x128 and 64x128

I also made some clothing pin clutter for myself, that I thought perhaps someone would like. The wooden pins are a jumble I made from the pins on "3t2 Debug Clothes Line" in the Simple Laundry system, it is repo'd to that object. The colorful pins are based on a mesh by Maylin, I tweaked and remapped to a new texture by Episims to make them a little more 2026 graphics compatible.
They both cost 15 simoleons, found in deco/sculptures. Colorful pins are 396 poly, texture is 256x128. Wooden pins are 264 poly, texture it is repo'd to is 128x512.

Sims 2 Traits Project - More Drama! Pie Menu/Autonomy Edits for Mean Interactions
I keep seeing Reddit posts about how the Traits Project doesn't affect much. Nonsense! This mod is technically an edit of "Mean Interactions to any age" by Hexagonal Bipyramid.
This mod will allow Sims with certain traits to choose Mean Interactions from the pie menu at ANY TIME (regardless of relationship) and prohibits some Sims from doing them autonomously. Sims with the negative traits may also choose mean actions autonomously.
If Sims dont pass trait checks, then it uses the unmodded code by checking relationship/immaturity

Requires Easy Inventory Check

Argue
Mean-Spirited Sims can argue anytime, per unmodded code, but can argue autonomously if the relationship is only a little bit negative.
Hot-Headed Sims will argue autonomously if they're furious
Attack
Evil Sims can choose this any time regardless of relationship in the pie menu and may do so autonomously if the relationship is very negative.
Mean-Spirited Sims can choose this any time regardless of relationship and may do so autonomously if the relationship is moderately negative.
Insane Sims have a 1 percent chance of attacking autonomously for no reason.
Good Sims never do this autonomously.
Gross Out
Personality checks are made first.
Slob Sims can do this through the Pie Menu if they're playful.
Mean-Spirited Sims can choose this autonomously or otherwise if the Sim they are trying to gross out is super neat (as in the other Sim wouldn't be amused by this)
Childish Sims can choose this autonomously or otherwise.
Annoy
Evil and Mean-Spirited can do this through the Pie Menu or autonomously if they're playful.
Insult
Evil Sims can choose this anytime regardless of relationship and will do so autonomously if the relationship is fairly negative.

Good Sims never do this autonomously.
Insane Sims can choose this action always regardless of relationship and may do so autonomously if their aspiration score is low.

Let me know about any issues. This was quite a mod to code but it really opens up possibilities for mean Sims to do mean things instead of simply relying on relationship levels.

Although I'm not that surprised Life by You was cancelled, I'm still pretty disappointed. As someone who likes to mod everything in my games, I was really excited about playing a life sim where so many things were customizable. The characters and animations didn't look good, but if it was succesfull at least it could inspire other companies to make tools for players to mod their games without needing super technical knowledge.

With this update of my Sims (2000) world, you can revisit every lot and every household from the Sims 1 in an open world experience in the Sims 3! This addition adds the Magic Town and Vacation Island area's, making this a complete Sims 1 world, that includes every Sims 1 neighborhood.
Pelican Town Hood - Download
UPDATE: Version 1.2 is out and contains some minor fixes like adding missing storytelling images and fixing surnames.
It's finally here! This is a recreation of Pelican Town from Stardew Valley as a custom Sims 2 neighborhood. It contains:
17 playable lots/families
7 bin families
14 community lots
5 custom townies (+ Leo in the adoption pool)
6 stray animals inspired by the cats and dogs you can choose in SDV
All buildings and Sims are supposed to resemble their SDV counterparts as much as possible. I am definitely more comfortable with building than with CAS, so feel free to give the Sims makeovers ^^ All sims have custom memories, relationships, skills, bios, family photos etc.
All EPs and SPs are required! Keep in mind that this is by no means a CC-free hood. I have included all of the CC with the download, see the attached README for more information. I might make a CC-free version one day if anyone's interested, but that's a pretty big might! I am using default replacements in the screenshots, these are not included in the download.

If you decide to play the hood, be sure to let me know about any problems or feedback you might have. I am super excited to see what you all do with it. This is the first time I created and shared a custom neighborhood for TS2, so I hope everything is working properly.
Full disclosure, I experienced some pink soup issues during playtesting :( They were usually resolved by exiting and re-entering the lot. I don't know if it is caused by my system or this particular neighborhood, maybe it's the amount of trees? Anyway, let me know if you encounter any similar issues.
Thanks y'all for showing interest in this project and encouraging me to finish the hood! I started this back in March 2022 and was done building a long time ago, but setting up all the SimPE stuff took much longer than expected. I had loads of fun though!

Pink Flashing Experience Research Survey!
Hi TS2 community, I am very interested in learning more about the way pink flashing happens or doesn't happen in different people's games. I have put together this kinda fairly detailed survey as a Google Form that hopefully can shed more light on the issue.
If you are familiar with your computer and graphics settings, you can easily finish the survey in about 5 minutes. If you need to look a few things up, it could take 10-15.
If you had flashing with some settings and resolved it, please consider filling out the form twice - once describing your experience before you fixed it and again for after. If not, please just use your post-fix experience.
Please, please reblog as data is only as good as the breadth of its sample. A summary of the results are viewable to all upon completion of the survey and I am happy to share more detailed findings with the modding community, just let me know.
