Rain collected from trees or roses will have different energies depending on the type of tree or color of the rose you collect it from

Use 1 cup of rain water to 1 tub size of water

For rituals use 1oz of rain water in a glass bowl or cauldron, to add effects to the water pour over crystals energized with your intent

For a spell place all your spell items in your bowl or cauldron and add 1tablespoon of rainwater

For cleansing or anointing ritual take 1/2oz of rainwater into a glass bowl and as you recite your incantation dip your fingers or wand/athame into the water then mark your physical body, the mark can be any spiritual symbol that has meaning to you

To anoint a tool, pout 1oz of rainwater onto the tool as you state your incantation to empower the tool for its intended purpose.

how to most accurately read synastry charts

To put it simply, for the most accurate synastry readings you need to read and understand the individual’s natal charts first. This is why most astrologers require that they have done a birth chart reading for you and your partner prior to doing a synastry or other relationship reading, and also otherwise part of why they’d charge more for a synastry reading. 

Why do you need to understand the birth charts first? While it is good to know for other types of relationship reading such as composite or Davison charts, it is quite frankly necessary for synastry. As the natal chart will tell you what the person needs out of whatever kind of relationship it is, and what the person wants, what they find attractive, how they express love, etc. This part is important for all relationship charts. For in synastry it will tell you if this person affects you in a way that attracts you or works well with you, and in the Davison and composite it will show if the relationship itself meets you needs and expectations, etc.

But I digress, this is important to synastry specifically because it can show us the synastry has aspects that attract you to the person or not, and also what I really want to get at in this post involves the aspects. So with synastry an aspect of Venus conjunct Venus can have a few ways of manifesting, right? So how would one determine in what way it would manifest in the synastry? Well the answer to that is in the natal chart, for depending on the natal conditions of Venus, that is the true nature of the Venus involved and will show through how the aspect manifests. 

For example, lets say that both these Venus placements are in Taurus, a fortunate placement for Venus, and lets say that Venus person 1 has their venus in the 5th house while Venus perosn 2 has it in the 8th. Venus person 1 also has their sun in Capricorn trine their Venus, while Venus person two has mars conjunct their Venus. Venus person 1′s manifestation of Venus in Taurus would be very much pleasure oriented, they may get this pleasure from fully expressing themselves. While Venus person 2′s manifestation of Taurus Venus is very sensual and very much craving physical pleasures and also probably likes to be somewhat served and attended to. With the conjunction it is naturally a neutral aspect and without knowledge of the signifiers in the chart one may give a cookbook definition of “oh yeah. they probably understand each other’s desires in love and have a similar approach to flirting and similar selfish desires.” But with this knowledge of the individual Venus’ in the charts, one can make a much more specific definiton of the relationship (and for the sake of this example lets say it’s a romantic relationship) such as: “This is a really satisfying relationship for both individuals when it comes to their wants and desires. Venus person 1 feels like they really understand what Venus person 2 desires, and they feel a very intimate romantic connection with them, and thus feels more comfortable being completely open and expressive of their love which makes themselves feel good. This also makes Venus person 2 feel good, as Venus person two likes to get complimented and attended to in such ways. There is also likely a strong physical attraction here, especially from Venus person 2 who feels a very sexual attraction to Venus person 1 and Venus person1 feels a very intimate attraction to Venus person 2, so it’s likely that sex is important to the desires of both individuals and to keep attraction going on.”

As you can see, with the better understanding of the natal charts themselves a much more in depth interpretation can be made. Another thing I’d like to demonstrate is that the Venus-Venus conjunction would not always fit the cookbook definition given of “they probably understand each other’s desires in love and have a similar approach to flirting and similar selfish desires.” Which makes it sound like the neutral aspect a conjunction is. The thing is just because an aspect is neutral doesn’t mean it’s neither good nor bad, it means it can either become more or less fortunate depending on other factors. So lets say in a different situation with this conjunction, Venus person 1 has Saturn conjunct their Venus in the 4th, and Venus person 2 has Venus conjunct the ascendant in the 1st with positive aspect to Jupiter. Here this conjunction may manifest as Venus person 1 judging Venus person 2, likely because they don’t agree with how flirty and sexy Venus person 2 tries to be, and they may try to take this joy of acting that way away from Venus person 2. Venus person 1 may also feel like Venus person 2 seems to good for them but they know they could be just as good as them if they wanted to show it, so Venus person 1 may get competitive and selfish and jealous with Venus person 2. 

As you can now hopefully see if you managed to stick around through all that explaining, the natal charts can tell a lot about the conditions surrounding the planets in aspect/overlay in synastry. This can help make interpretations both more in-depth and more accurate, and can tell much more about how it will actually manifest.

Every month has a full Moon. Ancient people assigned different names for the Moons of each month. Different cultures gave the Moon different titles to express what the Moon meant to them in the given month. Some of the Moon names make common sense, while other may make no sense at all unless you know the logic behind it.

January

Common name: Wolf Moon

Uncommon name: Chaste Moon - calls for cleansing and renewal as the new year begins; it is a time for starting over, washing away the past, and fresh beginnings.

February

Common name: Ice Moon

Uncommon name: Hunger Moon - Winter’s supplies depleted, the yearning for spring is a hunger of the soul as well as the belly.

March

Common name: Storm Moon

Uncommon name: Worm Moon - The thawing of the earth brings a renewal of life as the earthworms break the soil and emerge from the damp earth in the moonlight.

Common name: Hare Moon

Uncommon name: Milk Moon - The birth of animals, domestic and wild, brings forth the mother’s milk, the life-giver, and first food of man and beast.

Common name: Mead Moon

Uncommon name: Dyad Moon - The Moon of the month of Gemini, this period honors twins and the sacred marriage of the god and goddess, bringing two into one.

Common name: Hay Moon

Uncommon name: Wort Moon - Wort being an ancient word for herbs, it is the Moon for gathering of herbs, replenishing the stores of medicinal plants, and drying them in the heat of summer for the long winter to come.

Uncommon name: Dispute Moon - The earth mother gives birth to bountiful harvest; with full bellies and hope for continuation, we settle our disputes and put away old anger as we look forward to the long, peaceful winter to come.

Common name: Harvest Moon

Uncommon name: Vine Moon - the Celtic Moon of exhilaration, driven by forces of work to obtain completion- of the harvest, the wine making, and insight for the future.

Uncommon name: Shedding Moon - the Moon where the deer shed their antlers and begin the rut- the compelling drive to create new life that supersedes the death of winter.

Common name: Snow Moon

Uncommon name: Tree Moon - The Celtic tree months of the Reed and the Elder tree overlap with the reed representing the Moon of silence, inner workings, and strength and the elder representing the Moon of completion; the days shorten as the end of the years draws near.

Uncommon name: Oak Moon - Sacred tree of the ancients, strong enough to withstand the harshest winter, renewal of the new year, straddling the old, dark year and the new light year two worlds, as the oak tree’s roots are in the dark earth and its branches are in the sky.

Aphrodite

Aphrodite is so much more than the simple “air-headed” goddess of love and beauty that everyone sees her as.

She’s known to be the goddess of beauty, but that doesn’t just mean superficial or outer beauty, it also means inner beauty. And our inner beauty comes from our identity, our entire being. So naturally Aphrodite is the goddess of our identity.

She is also the goddess of emotions and empaths. Her power affects the heart, which is your emotional center. Now an empath, their heart works overtime. Empaths are so sensitive to human emotion that they pick up on the feelings of others. And it’s good for them to turn to Aphrodite for guidance on coping with said emotions.

As you can now see, Aphrodite is so much more than the goddess of love and beauty.
