Okay because people don’t seem to understand what race bending fucking is here’s a definition [ via definitions.net ] because yall are to fucking dense to take a damn second to google

What pertains to us, as role players and writers are the beginning and end of that definition

This includes playing Asians are other fucking Asians! Someone of Korean Ethnicity is different from someone of Japanese ethnicity. Someone who is ethnically Chinese & Thai [ such as in the case of Ten from NCT ] should not be fucking played as Korean, no matter if they are involved in the Korean entertainment industry.

A person who is ethnically Japanese should not be fucking played as ‘mixed’ unless they are actually fucking mixed [ such as in the case of Miyavi, who is Japanese & Korean ]

NATIONALY =/= ETHNICITY the amount of times I’ve seen Felix, Bangchan, and Christian Yu played as ‘mixed Korean & Australian’ is fucking atrocious and I’m ashamed to be associated with anyone that does any of this. They are ethnically Korean but their nationality is Australian. They’re very fucking different things and while it is okay to have characters that are more heavily attached to their nationality because of various reasons [ such as adoption ] rather than their ethnicity it is not fucking okay to erase their ethnicity and some of the troubles they may go through in their country of nationality because of said ethnicity. Don’t say a character is ethnically Australian either when they’re ethnically fucking not.

Oh hey also this extends to not fucking changing a characters ethnic group either. I don’t know much about the Philippines but from what I’ve learned recently there are 120 different fucking ethnic groups in the country with just as many different languages and the amount of people that don’t address their face claims ethnic group either and just lumps them as general ‘Filipino’ is fucking sad.
