so the show is going to frame the crows as the antagonists and i am hyped.

i’m trying to imagine it with an outsider’s point of view, with kaz saying “she’s real” it makes alina rare, the one thing everyone’s wanted but not really believed in, enforced particularly with alexei in the beginning saying “you’re not going to believe me but it was a sun summoner”. and by putting money on alina’s head plus the few shots we get of jesper and inej mainly they’re always showing off their abilities with weapons from a new views point of view they seem to come off almost as if they were bounty hunters.

i love it, they’re definitely pulling a bait and switch for the viewers to confide more in the darkling/general kirigan, they’re already showing him as a cold leader but with the capability to be vulnerable having him show up with tears in his eyes and more of a romantic interest than a villain.

so when the crows finally start getting closer to to that “she’s real“ moment where inej will likely have to confront the fact that if they continue what they’re doing she will be doing unto someone what happened to her and from there either they go and free alina or at least take her away from what they originally planned that’s when mr darkles past is gonna start being revealed and i’m expecting lots of gasps from new fans as things turn upside down.

Kaz saying “She(Sun Summoner Alina)’s real” will either be the funniest thing or gut wrenching because Kaz never believed in Saints or Gods whatever that’s that powerful. He looks tired in that shot; perhaps along the way he was debating if such things exist—but anything for a million kruge right?
