And even though they only see each other during major events, where she remains silent and in the background, her mind wanders to the possibilities.
An escape from working under her father. A place where she is welcome.
Life seems to be smiling on her, and as long as that’s the case, her heart is devoted to this family.

Well well well, hello!!! What do you think? This story was written long ago but modified like, idk, beyond three times? I added and removed various scenes: the first version was going to be in the Agreste household, the second at a vacation trip, the third... I think similar to the second, on the beach, and it was way spicier😳
I removed the angst ending, mostly because if I did, I'd never finish the comic in the next 3 months or so...
I plan to draw some bonus pages, not colored, or with that much detail, showing some scenes of what happens after.

05:00: Where are the cakes?
Garp was pissed. If there was one thing he couldn't stand, apart from opening an empty fridge or seeing Luffy's latest nonsense on the front page of the newspaper, it was having to wake up early. But even more so when it came to getting up early to attend a meeting. But the height of unbearable was reached when it was also the new Admiral-in-Chief Akainu, who just a few weeks ago had made a magma hole in his adopted grandson's chest, who was summoning him.
Luckily for him, all the other high-ranking officers would be present, including his friends Sengoku and Tsuru. In reality, this was the new Admiral-in-Chief's very first official meeting, and Garp had to admit that despite the hour, he was curious to see how Akainu would assume his new duties.
So it was with a tired and barely awake step that he walked around the large meeting table, which he had known for several decades now.
Of course, he had arrived late.
Of course, Tsuru and Sengoku, the good students, had already been seated for a long time and were wide awake.
He sat between Sengoku and Tsuru, his usual place, which allowed him to throw mischievous glances at his friend and to be discreetly reminded of the order by a blow to the ribs by his other friend. All the other vice-admirals were present and Borsalino, the only official admiral at the moment, had just closed the door to let the meeting begin.
“We will start the meeting immediately with the...” Began Akainu.
Not even a “Good morning, did you sleep well, children?” to greet the assembly? Garp sighed, feeling sleep calling him back again. This meeting was going to be long and boring, even more so than the ones Sengoku had conducted.
“We have received several reports regarding...”
“Wait, pause!”
The Monkey D cut the new Admiral in Chief off without really realizing it, but a flash of genius had just crossed his mind.
Sengoku discreetly felt the irritation rising in the new Admiral in Chief who seemed particularly disapproving of being cut off, especially by a Monkey D.
"What Garp?" Tsuru asked to her old friend. She also couldn't stand the disorder, but she knew perfectly her friend's eccentricities. With age, she knew that nothing good ever happened during the vice-admiral's flash of genius.
"Where are the cakes?"
All the high-ranking officers in the room looked at him perplexed.
"There's coffee but no cakes. Usually there are always cakes during meetings. So where did the cakes go? Did the kitchen forget them?"
Garp continued, he seemed genuinely disturbed by the absence of cakes. At the other end of the table, the admiral in chief had trouble restraining his devil fruit which activated on his fists. Apparently, his patience was very short.
“The kitchen has never been ordered to prepare cakes for the meetings of the high-ranking officers. I was the one who systematically brought them so that you would stay focused during the entire meeting.” Sengoku admitted in front of the dismayed gaze of all the high-ranking officers.
“Can we start again now, vice-admiral ?” Akainu asked in a firm voice but which sounded more like an order than a simple question.
“Without cakes it will be hard to hold on anyway, especially at this hour.” Garp was punshed by a masterful elbow blow from his friend Tsuru right in the ribs.
The Vice Admiral was finally silent and the meeting finally resumed, despite the Navy Hero's stomach sounds and his snoring.
