After 3yrs of running, I felt I didn’t have results to show for all I’ve put in; I didn’t know why I wanted it anymore & took a few wks off. Still not sure why but I’m not right without it so I came back. Part of my identity is as a runner whether or not I’m always proud to say. I wanted to meet certain goals this yr & I did: I ran pain/injury-free, & got to just enjoy it. I really have & I never forced myself to run. Tn I looked down at my watch after an easy effort (from a short 5k loop) & saw a pace I didn’t expect to come from an easy effort. I can be fast if I don’t resign myself to being slow. I still want to run faster & more. So next yr I’m taking on PR’s & I’m gonna get over pain & discomfort in racing- end every race feeling spent. #running #nikeplus #goals #realizations #takingonPRs #thisisalongpost
