I chopped off a lot of my hair before I moved abroad to study, for the sake of convenience. Now it's been exactly a year and my hair has grown a lot, but along with that, I feel like I've also grown more as a person. I have matured in ways that 17 year old me wouldn't believe. I've learnt to stand up for myself and stop taking bullshit. I've learnt that it's okay to not be a people pleaser (although I still sometimes struggle with it), and most of all, I've learnt that it's okay to let go of people who don't gaf about your boundaries and to protect your inner peace.

third, you sitting in someone's lap, facing them.

he turns to look at you, offended.

you laugh, "why are you looking at me like i actually did it?"

he runs a hand over his face in disbelief. "i'd knock him out, there's no way. why the fuck?-" he shakes his head. "two."

whenever he sends any type of late night message he deems 'too mushy', katsuki turns his phone off immediately after hitting send, slams it face down onto whatever surface he can find and goes to sleep because he's too embarrassed to see your response.

bakugou doesn’t know how to handle physical touch.

“your heart's beating really fast.” you commented softly as you played with his calloused fingers. your face laid flush on his chest, his free hand playing with your hair absentmindedly as he stared at the ceiling. “you’re imagining things.” he spoke raspily, words rumbling through his chest. you smiled, rising up from your position to peer down at him. “m’kay. then, hypothetically, what do you think would cause it?” his blond brows furrowed, intimidating eyes narrowing, “don’t get smart with me, woman.”

your eyes narrowed as well, leaning closer to his face, a wicked smile capturing your glossy lips, “do i make you nervous, katsuki?” your question rang in bakugou’s ears. no shit, you make him nervous. he practically shits bricks around you. but of course, he’s riding the high horse right now, so that thought will never make the light of day. his ruby eyes faltered between looking at your teasing eyes and looking at your tempting lips. “you wish, loser.” he turned his face to the side, avoiding eye contact as his cheeks dusted pink from your close proximity. you laughed softly as you went back to laying on his chest, “you really know how to make a girl feel special.”

somehow, his heart seemed to beat faster.

for weeks now, his friends have bothered him about spilling the details about what you were to him. they wanna know why he’d been walking you to every one of your classes, or why you wore his hoodies around the dorms. and what was up with bakugou leaving your dorm so late last night?

and of course, in natural bakugou fashion, he pivots. “we’re just friends, dumbasses.” now they knew something was definitely up because when has katsuki bakugou, mister calls everyone “extras”, ever referred to someone as a friend? the thing is, when he says you guys are just friends, it’s whatever. but when you say it, suddenly it’s the end of the world.

“dunno why you even care. we’re just-“ 

“finish that sentence. i dare you.” his jaw flexes as his piercing ruby eyes bore into your surprised ones.

best believe he stopped playing around and asked you out officially.

“c’mere.” he grumbled, his low and gravelly voice stirring up a swarm of butterflies in your stomach. his blown out pupils overcame the ruby in his eyes and his lips curved up into a dangerous smirk. his large calloused hand enveloped the nape of your neck, pulling your face closer to his. the smell of his cologne was nauseatingly intoxicating. he captured your glossy lips in an open-mouthed, hungry kiss that nearly knocked all the air out of your lungs. he deepens the kiss with his hand still on your nape, guiding you to where he wants you most.

if he wants more access to your neck when leaving marks, he'll pull you by your hair to move you to his liking. you can just feel him smirking against your neck.

many months into your relationship, bakugou becomes the kind of boyfriend that needs to be touching you in any way at all times. in the car, his large hand is on your thigh. around his friends, his arm is around your shoulders, or you're playing with his fingers. at dinner with his parents, he's holding your hand under the table, occasionally rubbing his thumb comfortingly on your hand. when you guys are alone and he’s tired, he's even worse. his face is buried into the crook of your neck as his huge body swallows you up. he’s leaving feather-like kisses in his wake while he's whispering the corniest, lovey-dovey shit ever that he will undoubtedly deny saying in the morning when you mention it. you say he's possessive, his and your friends think he's just embarrassingly obsessed with you.

bakugou is such a gossip. people casually dish out the messiest shit around him because they think he doesn’t care to listen. but katsuki bakugou is an observer at heart.

“i don’t like her nasty ass.” you remarked sourly, taking a sip from your green tea. “i heard she’s pregnant.” he comments dismissively, eyes and movements too focused on adding creamer to his coffee. your jaw dropped, an audible gasp leaving you, “you’re fucking lying.” he shakes his head, now looking at you as he stirs his poison, “overheard her and her loud ass friends talkin’ bout’ her “baby daddy” not knowin’ yet.” you laugh out loud at that, hand shooting up to stifle your laughs, “you’re so messy, kats.” he smirked, shrugging his broad shoulders, “not my fault people can’t keep their mouths shut aroun’ me.”

“i can feel you starin’.” bakugou mumbled, eyes concentrated on the veggies he was cutting skillfully. 

your cheek leaned into your palm as you watched your boyfriend. he just looked too good and you know he knew it. hair disheveled from his nap, usually sharp eyes are lidded and reminiscent of sleep, and the cherry on top, he’s shirtless with one of your pretty pink hello kitty aprons on.

“you just look so pretty, kats.” you cooed, lashes fluttering as your eyes trained on him, a freshly manicured nail lightly tracing the scars on his toned arm. 

he smiles lazily at your bluntness before leaning down to kiss your forehead.

“all for you, baby.” he spoke raspily, peering down at you with eyes filled with love.

“be mine.” bakugou whispered breathlessly, ghosting your lips. his forehead rested on yours as a lazy grin captured his swollen, lipstick stained lips.

you break the distance with a peck, smiling against his lips as his large hands continue to squeeze your waist.

“ask me properly.” you mumble, delicate finger wiping away the cherry pink lip gloss from his bottom lip.

with a dream and advice from the gang, he arranged a picnic date to ask you to be his girlfriend. he bought all your favorite snacks and drinks, baked your favorite sweet treat, and bought you an expensive bouquet of your favorite flowers.

he’s so smitten.
