Comm i recieved for The Ace!
A short description of some random superheroes i've imagined for world building purposes
Id love to see who you find interesting and who i could write a one shot for
Martial Master: a detective and pulp style hero inspired by heroes like the green hornet, crimson avenger, and of course the batman but also an expert martial artist inspired by heroes like iron fist, shang-chi, or karate kid (DC). Hes the dead serious type, with complete mastery of his chi and by extension his emotions rarely ever showing any extreme joy or anger.
Captain Fantastic: made in the late 90s an actor was turned superhero with the standard set of super human abilities. The goal was to create a hero to upstage The Ace and put the public's faith in him but when his incompetence was shown he was completely abandoned by the people who made him. Bitter and alone he quits hero work and became a washed up podcaster with what little popularity he has left. However with the world crying out for more heroes he is tempted to make a comeback
Potion Pourer: when a young chemist was attempting to create a powerful immune system boosting medicine she accidently created a special compound that gave her special abilities for a short amount of time. Realizing that if she went public with this it would be turned into weapons she destroys her research and used her knowledge of the compound to create variations to give her new abilities becoming the hero Potion Pourer
So does the Guard Squad work for the government? Are they getting paid?
Short answer No and No.
Long answer
The government keeps tabs on all superheroes and you can be appointed as one once you willingly register, but it's more like becoming a lawyer or civil servant than like being a cop or something.
The details of being registered are pretty simple you're legally required to perform acts of public service to keep your registration and if you let it expire any public damage you cause is paid out of yournown pocket rather than it being covered by the government.
As for if the Squad gets paid. No. Most of them have their expenses covered by The Ace, considering he's been doing this for 70 years hes got money to burn but other heroes like Jason are rich and so they fund their own crime fighting without needing the help of others
i think it might be toy time...
It will be soon
To those who care, Jason's motorcyle (of which he has many) is primary a combinatuon of these two honda motorcycles
Guard Squad Universe lore
In the universe, due to there being a large variety of superheroes there is an in universe categorization system created by the US government to help keep track of superheroes and various types of powers
The government does demand heroes register themselves for public safety but mostly allows heroes to act independently (sans some government mandated public service actions)
Some of the categroies but the most common category is "superhumans" who are anyone with powers that are just extensions of human abilities (super speed, enhanced durability, super sight, etc)
Others are super vauge like "magical" or "alien" which have plenty in their own right
1st scene in a new guard squad story calles "toy soldiers"
In this story, Vanish is being hunted by two people who want her dead in small town america
Scene 1:
Awakening behind a building her entire body felt like it was bruised. As she slowly drags herself out of the alley she realizes she's in the middle of nowhere.
Checking her surroundings she walks into the pawn shop she awoke next to.
Vanish:
Hey boss, you got a phone I can use
The shopkeeper, wanting to be helpful, hands her the store phone.
In another city, Utopic city, Jason Rain receives a phone call.
Jason:
Yo
Vanish:
Yeah man hey, I fucked up, got my ass beat something fierce.
Jason:
Where the hell are you?
Vanish:
Figuring that out, hey uhh boss where is this place?
Shopkeeper:
Dominick’s discount pawn shop in Wartown Michigan.
Vanish:
Yeah there.
Jason:
You need me to pick you up?
Vanish:
Nah I gotta deal with what i started. I just need cash.
Jason:
Fine but you better come out of this alive.
Vanish hangs up.
Vanish:
Good news Dominick you’re about to get a large sum of money, in the meantime I need you to give me anything in this shop that works as a weapon.
In this scene the song choice is diagetic, being played in the background
I wanted an interogation scene but i wasnt super confident in it
but i decided its about as good aa its gonna be
Scene 2:
Hours later in an apartment complex a strange man knocks on a door. He gets no response. Knocking again, no response. Finally he pulls his phone out and calls someone.
Dominick:
Hello?
The stranger introduces himself.
Bruce:
Hey Dominick. We’ve never met. My name is Bruce and I really implore you to open this door now because I really don’t wanna cause a scene but I will get in one way or the other.
Dominick’s heart drops. He opens the door revealing a tall figure dressed in black pants, black shoes, black turtleneck, and black trench coat.
Bruce:
Good choice.
Bruce enters the apartment. Grabbing an apple from the kitchen he points to the couch to signal Dominick to sit.
Bruce:
I think you understand that I’m a very efficient kind of guy, so I don’t wanna waste any time with lies and such.
You helped a girl who has wronged a very powerful organized crime group. A few hours before she came into your shop a group of much sloppier gangsters than I beat her up and dumped her there under the assumption she was dead.
At this point Dominick is scared for his life.
Dominick:
I swear I didn’t know any of that-
Bruce cuts him off with a loud bite of his apple. He speaks with his mouth full
Bruce:
I know Dom, can I call you Dom?
He swallows before tossing his apple onto the carpet.
Bruce:
Wrong place, wrong time is very common in my line of work.
Dominick:
And that line of work is?
Bruce moves his trenchcoat to show off his gun.
Bruce:
She killed a high ranking gang leader. Not even one of the drug lords he handled gambling, she did it to send a message. So I’m here to get even, and that means I have to find her. You picking up what I’m putting down Dom?
Dominick:
I swear to god all I know is that she talked to some Jason guy about getting a motel after buying every sword, knife, and gun in my shop.
Bruce stares for a moment.
Bruce:
I believe you, thank you Dom.
As he walks out the door he stops and turns back around.
Bruce:
Oh silly me one last thing.
Bruce draws his gun with a silencer on the end, killing Dominick in his home.
Bruce:
Nobody likes a snitch Dom.

First part to a short story within the Guard Squad universe called "Paradise City"
In this story Jason takes a trip to a massive domed city made to have eternal night life, he quickly devles into it's depths to find where those who've lost everything stay, prisoners to their debts.
Scene 1:
Jason arrives in the city on his motorcycle. The streets are filled with bright lights and various entertainment outlets all beckoning for his attention. The city is domed off, leaving it in an eternal artificial night one without any stars in the sky.
Jason continues his drive as he goes deeper into the city. Ending up in the back end; here lights were dim and flickering. If the vibrant strip of hotels and casinos was the commercial district this was the residential district, where the forgotten people who have lost all they had to the city reside.
Jason approaches a motel and pays for a room. He enters it, shockingly clean. He doesn’t need rest despite the long drive, only a place to hide while he hunts for a person.
Jason (Internally):
This place has got to be the closest thing to hell I’ve seen. Every light is artificial.
Jason looks up, seeing himself in the mirror, the glow of his eyes reflecting back.
final scene to the first short story in the Guard Squad universe
i don't have a lot to say
thanks to anyone who's actually been reading this
Jason and The Law ride in the elevator.
Scene 12:
Jason:Â
not a talkative guy?
Law:
No.
Jason:
What are you gonna do when I beat up your boss
Law:
I’ll live.
Jason looks up at The Law, gaze never leaving the elevator door, perfectly still, unphased by the world around him.
Jason:Â
I think I miss The General
20 stories below Rose parks outside the front door to Manchester's tower. The control center of the city that keeps all the gears in line. As she begins her journey up the stairs Jason finally meets Manchester at the final floor.
Manchester:
You can leave us be, this won’t be a minute.
The Law leaves the room waiting for the result
Jason:
If you’re expecting some battle of wits you won’t get one from me
Manchester:
No, I was more thinking I was going to beat you to death
Jason:
You just had 4 cyborgs try that and I ripped the arms off of one
Manchester:
Perhaps, but look at you.
Exhausted, and I’m willing to bet even a lesser cyborg like me could beat you
Jason:
Lesser cyborg?
Manchester:
Just my arms and legs, enough to deal with trouble makers.
Manchester stands up, taking his shirt off revealing his muscular physique, with clear scars on his arms to show where the cybernetics begin.
Manchester:
This is the end, you made your choice and now this dance between us is over. And I’ll make sure I turn you into an example for any other hero who wants to play footloose with my city
Jason:
Not scared of my friends in high places?
Jason tosses his jacket and scarf to the side. Footsteps get ever closer to the door. The Law notices the approaching figure. He nods as if to signal what they want is indeed behind that door.
Manchester:
The Ace has better things to do than hunt after me. Besides like you, he won’t kill and there isn’t a jail that can keep me for long.
Jason:Â
And I’ll keep chasing you, and I'll make sure you learn the hard way that justice is real, and I fight to uphold it
Manchester:
Justice? HA! Let me tell you what Justice is
Justice is-
The door opens and then
Bang
The sound cut the air like a knife. Manchester falls, blood pools. Jason turns around. The woman he saved, beaten, bruised, tired, gun in hand, the GUN HE GAVE HER. Her eyes don’t swell, no tears are shed. Rose was angry, angry it was over so fast, angry she didn’t get to yell for all of the years of suffering. She takes a deep breath and looks at Jason, tossing her gun to the side.
Emotions fill in Jason. It wasn't the first time he had seen death but this was different. He couldn't tell you why in fact he couldn't say anything. He takes his mask off.
Jason:
Why?
Rose:
You know why.
The Law can’t hold it back anymore synthetic laughter filled the room from behind the doors.
Rose:Â
What now?
Jason thinks for a moment.
Jason:
In the end I never found out who assassinated Manchester, they got away before I could track them, in part due to my lack of energy.
Jason glances at The Law from behind the door. He nods in agreement. Rose understands, still a criminal, she begins her trip out of the city, her destinations unknown.
Jason sits in Manchester’s chair.
Law:
Well then warrior, is this the ending you wanted.
Jason:
It’s… the one I couldn’t give
Law:
Is not death better than endless combat, constantly foiling evil machinations is tiring no? Is this not the moral dilemma of all heroes?
Jason:Â
The difference is I can do it. I can go on forever I can-
Law:
But surely you don’t intend on fighting one man forever? You may be ever lasting but you’re still just one person.
No matter how much you deny it, that one restriction is what makes you human, the fact that you must choose your battles.Â
Jason:Â
I’m in no mood for inspirational speeches, I just saw a man die and I’d like to be in shock for a while.
Law:
You can hide from revelations all you like warrior but-
The Law looks at Jason's empty expression and in a rare moment of empathy, he shuts up and walks away
In an empty room, atop an empty skyscraper, sits a hero. Glancing at himself in the mirror the glow of his eyes reflected back on him.
never start thinking Jason isn't cringe

Scene 10 overlaps with scene 9 happening at roughly the same times
Jason can barely stand, his eyes are locked onto the ground as his legs shake. The final of the 4 heads of security slowly approaches him. A 7 foot beast with footsteps heavy as steel. He drops a suitcase in front of Jason, kicking it open reveals an apparatus, a shotgun.
Jason:
So, did you pick to dress like a robot cowboy or was that the dress code?
Jason tries to regain his confidence with his quick wit to no avail. Thinking quickly Jason attempts to grab a knife on the floor but is grabbed by the hair and tossed back into the bookstore. In the brief time before his enemy reached him he grabbed his scarf from the register.
Jason:
Seriously between you and the police guy it’s like I was fighting rejects from the village people.
As he steps out his enemy points the gun in his face.
Jason:
So, what do they call you?
With a voice that sounds like an Electrolarynx he forces the words out, there is no mouth to move. He says
“I am The Law”
Jason:
Damn, so I'm gonna have to break The Law to be a hero? How ironic.
Law:
There will be no fight, warrior. You have long since missed your chance to get Eliza Grace.
Jason:
What do you mean!?
Law:
She’s gone, having left about 20 minutes before we even arrived, your quest here was pointless, your violence meaningless.
Jason’s heart filled with rage. Every nerve in his body was on fire but he couldn't move to put it out. The flame only subsides when he remembers what he did before this fight, he gave her escape. The stranger he met, her daughter. He could take solace in having gotten them out of the city. His journey was not meaningless, not to her. Is that enough
Jason:
Tell me, why do you work for Manchester? You have a body like mine, he can't control you, any of you! Yet you choose to keep these people prisoner? FOR WHAT!? MONEY!?
Law:
When I was of flesh and blood I was but a mercenary. I knew of only blood, destruction and the use of dreadful objects that had become more familiar to me than that of my mothers face.
I had become a tool, no different than a silencer on a pistol. When my time came I had made peace with the fact my work had been finished. But there are forces on heaven and earth that deemed my philosophy untrue, and the right to death was stripped from me. My body was reborn as what you see now, a faceless enforcer for the powers that be, dressed to ensure the animals feel fear.
Jason:
How pathetic. So some people put a gun in your hands and you just said “sir yes sir?”
To that I say you’re weak willed
Law:
The gun is not in my hand, I have become the weapon, for that is what was decided for me. Human, cyborg, hero, weapon.
All labels decided by others, thrusted upon us.
Jason:
I AM NO ONE’S HERO! I act only of my own free will.
Law:
Then prove the reality of your will, your mission is to capture Eliza Grace. Abandon this city in search of her or stand as the hero the people in this city want you to be and confront Manchester. Keep his eyes turned from the city and allow many more to escape.
The Law points his gun to the hole in the dome. The orange rays of sunrise pierce the veil of night the city had cast. The people stare out their windows waiting to see if Jason will leave them or if he will fight. A helicopter arrives just outside the city block for the two machine men.
Law:
Are you a hero or are you free?

I wanted to see if i could make the emotions speak for itself
The music to this scene is diagetic playing from a small radio Rose carries throughout the story
Up until now it wasn't important and i didnt feel the need to chekov's gun it
Rose was making good pace en route to the exit of the city. Jason was correct in assuming security would be too hyperfocused on him to care. The bike was on cruise control set up by Jason, Rose needed only to keep her balance as it drove itself. But in a moment she freezes, like an electric shock went down her spine. Pulling over she turned back to witness a pillar of light from where Jason was. A million thoughts raced in Rose’s mind, her daughter glancing back at her with unwavering eyes, as if to tell Rose her choice, one she can’t carry out due to being only a child. Contrary to her Rose was more than capable of doing it, of carrying out what she wanted to do for years now. Turning the bike around she heads to a nearby friend's house. Many words were spoken yet nothing was said. Her friend took Amy, and with one last kiss good bye the two drove off in a fast car her friend had been living in since arriving in the city.
She stared back at the cracked glass dome, stars twinkling in the night. For once in her life she took off cruise control and let the engine roar. The kick back was too much and she crashed at first tumbling into the sidewalk. She stood back up, engine beckoning her back. She got back on and tried again making it a bit further down before spinning out again. Coughing up blood she saw her own tooth come out of her mouth. Face covered in skidmarks and blood she stands back up. One last time, she picks the bike back up and lets it purr. Rubber is burnt as she heads back to the scene of the crime. However she notices a helicopter leaving the scene, putting the connections together she drifts back as she follows the chopper leaving fear behind.
More content will be here soon please believe me have The Ace shirtless in the meantime

Awesome lesbian couple Evil ass Cyborg in a trench coat Jason fights the fire ice duo i leave a lot of implied aspects to them that i would've liked expanding on but i didn't wanna just stop in the middle of the fight to lore dump
i have like entire backstories for all 4 of the heads of security but alas all you need to know is that these lesbians want blood
Scene 8:
Jason drops the arms onto the floor. Glaring at the three other foes he has to fight.
Jason:
So what am I gonna take you all on one at a time? I don’t mind either way, just curious how much energy I need to spend on each of you.
The two women of the group exchange glances before stepping forward.
Summer:
We’ll take you on.
Summer, the taller of the two adorned in sports wear, body always glistening with sweat.Â
Jill:
But you’d really make our lives easier if you just came with us to our boss.
Jill was the shortest of the entire team. Constantly bundled up in a puffy winter coat.
Jason:
Not exactly my MO to just hand myself over besides, when I get my hands on Eliza I want it to be mono e mono.Â
Jill and Summer nod before Jill forms a huge chunk of ice from her breath. Summer’s hand ignites into a flame, screaming in pain she punches the ice creating a smoke screen of mist, hiding the two.
Jason:
If I was anyone else this would’ve actually been effective.
Jason closes his eyes before opening them again. His subtle glow was now bright as a car’s highbeams.
He quickly reveals Summer running at him. Blocking her punch he is pushed back into a bookstore.
Jill:
Are you okay honey?
Summer:
My skin is burning, but you know I can handle it.
Jill:
I know but I still worry.
Jill is cut off as Jason throws a copy of the dictionary at her head at high speed. Hitting her with enough force to knock her out.
Summer:
OH I’M GONNA KILL YOU!
Jason:
If I had a dollar.
His sarcastic remark is met with a flurry of flaming punches. Burning at his clothes Jason begins to worry when his scarf almost catches fire.
Jason:
WAIT HOLD ON!
His eyes had genuine worry in them. He held his hand out to signal a time out.
Summer obliges, if only to let her cyborg body cool off; steam seeping from her skin.
Summer:
Jill baby, are you ok?
Summer raises her head and Jill opens her eyes. Placing her hand on Summer’s. Jill’s ice cold body only formed more steam when they touched.
Jill:
Why’d you stop fighting?
Jill shouts. Jason placed his scarf safely in the cash register of the bookstore before walking back towards the two.
Jason:
It was a gift from my mother, my real mother, the mother Eliza Grace murdered in cold blood.
Summer:
We don’t call Eliza mom, it's just that freakzoid you beat the shit out of who did that and to be honest he was freaking us out with that.
Jill:
But still we owe her for saving our lives, and for bringing us together.
The two embrace in front of Jason, giving him a glimpse of their humanity beyond their cyborg scars.
Jason:
If I said I cared about your backstories I’d be lying.Â
However I see you are both good people, especially since you let me protect something I hold so dear to me.
Jason places his hand on both of their shoulders.
Jason:
So I’ll do this quickly.
Realizing they had been caught off guard; Summer tosses Jill into the arms of their other teammate.
Jason glows with white light as a pillar of energy shoots up from him. Summer is left groggy and weak, the circuits controlling her shut off for the time being. Jill runs into the arms of Summer.
Jason:
I stripped her, and myself of powers for 24 hours.
(Internally)
Or until I can find sunlight again
Jill:
But why? Why not just beat her to the ground like you did him!?
Jason:
As I said, you are good people. I know her powers only caused her suffering, and though I cannot cure her, I wanted her to feel your touch unhindered.
Jill is shocked, reaching towards Summer she places her hand on her cheek. Summer chuckles
Summer:
It’s like I’m being hugged by a fridge.
Jill:
No steam…
Jason:
If only you had let me do the same to you.
Summer:
No, this is fine.
Summer struggles to stand up as Jill holds her to keep balance. Summer turns to the last soldier.
Summer:
Listen big guy if it’s alright with you can we go and enjoy this while the night is young?
The last guard shrugs before waving his hand. The two hop back into the van they came in and drive off. Jason falls to his knees. As he is approached by the last of his enemies.
