The Complement System
The Complement System in a Nutshell:
Mnemonic: CLACCIC MAC (classic MAC but with Cs)
C - (activated by) Classic Pathway - IgG or IgM mediated
L - (activated by) Lecithin Pathway - mannose or other sugars or microbe sugar
A - (activated by) Alternative Pathway - microbe surface molecules
C - C3b - opsonization; C3a, C5a - anaphylaxis; C5a - neutrophil chemotaxis; C5b-9 - cytolysis by MAC
C - Complement is a system of interacting proteins
I - (seen in) Innate Immunity and Inflammation
C - C1 esterase inhibitor and Decay-accelerating factor (DAF) help prevent complement activation on self cells (e.g. RBCs)
MAC - Membrane Attack Complex of complement defends against gram-negative bacteria (e.g. Neisseria)

Note: (Line 4 should be) L - (activated by) Lecithin Pathway - mannose or other sugars on microbe surface
[The complement system is a part of the immune system that enhances (complements) the ability of antibodies and phagocytic cells to clear microbes and damaged cells from an organism. It is part of the innate immune system, which is not adaptable and does not change over the course of an individual’s lifetime.]
Cirrocumulus clouds? Ü??
The Chiranthodendron pentadactylon, in spanish “Árbol de la manita” comes from the word “Macpalxóchitl” that means “Hand-shaped flower”, I learned about this in an antropology practice. Pretty interesting tree, also the flower and his medical uses, you can prepare a tea with the flower and use it to so many things (Mainly for relaxing, works almost like the passionflower I think). Is in danger of extinction because, this tree, grows only in cloudy forest. In Mexico, this forests are disappearing and even though this tree can resist droughts, there are not many of them now in Mexico. :( I recomend you to read about this tree, it has an interesting history!

El mejor poema que haya leído, jajaja.
Pseudomonas infections are diseases caused by a bacterium from the genus Pseudomonas. The bacteria are found widely in the environment, such as in soil, water, and plants. They usually do not cause infection in healthy people. If an infection does occur in a healthy person, it is generally mild.
