Exploring with Paula
We were roaming around the mountain, close to Muro de Roda, taking random paths and when we spotted an uninhabited old house next to us. The house had nothing special on itself but when we turned around the corner we found ourselves in the middle of, what in the past times, was the main street of a beautiful town.
Despite de decadence of the structures, we were able to guess what kind of buildings we were looking at, we were able to find side streets and alleys, some of them in a very good condition, and vestiges of what it was *probably* quite an important and rich town in the middle of the mountain, yet not big nor famous.
When the place has it all.
Walking in the forests and visiting old abandoned towns. Two baits that are very hard not to bite.
These places have always the magic atmosphere and the risk of any wall falling over you. So you better take care of it!
This pictures were taken in Huesca, Spain. The town was called Grustán, if you feel like taking a look :)
Traveling by your means is always more satisfying.
I teamed up with two friends of mine to explore the island of Lanzarote in Canary islands, Spain. We decided to take a week off and invest 5 days roaming, almost randomly, around the island exposing ourselves to find a path that took us to a hidden spot.
We were running away from tourist, overcrowded, widely-known places. We were up to a different kind of trip. Using our feet. Slowly tasting the island.
Giving comfort in exchange of adventure.
Wherever you are traveling to, do it responsibly. Try to feel the place, and leave it exactly as you found it. Money doesn’t pay everything. Money doesn’t give you anything. Usually money is what takes you out of the real things.

Valea Cernei after an exhilarating ride through incredibly heavy rain and the odd clash of thunder. At one point we had to dodge rocks tumbling down from above and bouncing out across the road.
