Humans are a dissatisfied lot, created by life and spoilt for choices! We want more for less and even more if that is more than the neighbor. We choose to ignore beggars yet beg ourselves from God all the time.Why crib when someone ignores us! We are given numerous choices yet we complain and when we do exercise them we choose the worst and then complain more. There is no end to our miseries because often we create them and conveniently forget about them till we make some more.
Sometimes I wonder if we would be better off without choices in life. First of all, we don't deserve the consideration of God as we are thankless creatures and more so we remain careless and often ignorant of our betterment. We first spend billions on weapons of mass destruction amid some fellowmen complaining and protesting and then agree to destroy them when a consensus is formed against them only for political gains. Some still go on complaining nevertheless. History is full of this construction and destruction game over centuries and yet we fail to learn and correct ourselves. This yes and no on policies, treaties, referendums, elections and so on are glaring truths that are begging the Almighty not to provide us with any choices whatsoever like other creatures of this planet.
Choice is an addiction that feeds on power, an absolute power demands unlimited choices! At the most we can handle a dilemma in the name of choice. That's the maximum we should get as they say excess of everything is bad and two choices for any situation is good enough for us to lead life with some clarity. We need to be on either side of the fence and not on it or pretend anything else. Life is better led in Black and White and not Grey or any other color for that matter! Majority of our species are simple and not diplomatic and that's what is the best!
Dilemma, how much we may hate it, as it apparently disrupts and confuses us at all the important junctions of our life, be it studies, careers, marriage and so on, but still 'be or not to be' would at least put you in a clear category for everyone to see and form an opinion. It won't shock or backbite. Respect the dilemma and learn to choose judiciously when it strikes!
