I like asking diffrent opinions on this but how do you think Vincent Sinclair communicated with a reader who does not know asl? Like do he talk to her or text her?

VINCENT COMMUNICATING WITH HIS S/O
it seems to me at least, that vincent actually doesn't know ASL!
therefore, the two of you could learn together, similar to michael. in the meantime, though, i imagine he doesn't really have a preference, and it more so depends on how he feels.
in day-to-day life with vincent, you'd probably b used to relative silence. a head nod or shake in response to what you said, some low rumbling laughter if you do or say something he thinks is funny, but if he needs to say something to you he'd do it in one of three ways; writing you a letter, a note, or sending a text.
when writing you a letter, this is where vincent's romantic nature really shines. he can get descriptive with what he loves about you, what he admires, and sometimes, if you're lucky, what he wants to do to you. this usually isn't his main method of communication, if anything it takes him days to write these letters as he wants to find the perfect thing to say, how exactly to get your heart-racing for him. usually the letters are 3+ pages, about a quarter of them being gut-wrenchingly horny. you can almost imagine how hard he was writing them, you can feel how much he loves you with every inked word on the page.
when writing you a note, it's short and sweet. it's how he likes to communicate when he wakes up before you, or if he's asking you to get a few tasks done for him, etc, simple things that don't require a full conversation, or the floweriness of his letters.
when texting you, it's how he holds conversation, elaborates on things. he thinks it's dumb, childish even, but it's efficient and necessary. he'll send you a text and let you read it, and while you could text back, he's not hard of hearing, so you usually speak aloud in response. sometimes he wishes he had the capacity to speak to you with language other than written, but that's why when he stumbles across a book on ASL in some of the tourists' things, he jumps straight into it, and pulls you alongside him. plus, it'd be even funnier to talk in front of bo, who'd get increasingly pissed off as he realized he couldn't understand a single word. good times.

author notes: bored at work, so i wrote these bite-sized headcanons for you guys to have as a midday snack <3 photo creds to @/pngsnail !
at first, michael isn’t all that interested. he thinks the process is long, and arduous, and to be honest he thinks it’s fun to make you guess what he wants all the time. michael can be a little bratty like that.
if you already know ASL well, a good way to light a fire under his ass is to stop verbally speaking and exclusively sign. he’ll pick up quickly, he isn’t an idiot, but he’ll be a little annoyed that you beat him at his own game.
if you’re learning alongside him, he’ll get a little competitive. like, yes he can already form a whole sentence! and you’re still on your abcs…either way, it’s not hard to incentivize him.
eventually, michael comes to love the freedom signing gives him – it gets his words across when he wants to be heard, and it’s even clearer now when he’s ignoring you. he’ll shake you awake in the middle of the night, the hard bar of his cock pressing into your thigh, chest heaving as he signs the same sentence over and over until your brain can finally process what he’s saying – “i want you, now.” it’s pretty sexy if you’re not too upset about the missed sleep.
