If i were to ever write an incredibles movie, i would make it about how a timeskipped jack jack doesnt want to be a hero but feels somewhat pressured into it bc of bob.

Like bob makes a big deal about how their family was the one who got supers to be legal again and how jack jack should appreciate the efforts they went through to give him this opportunity. That and the fact that jack jack has the most powers kinda forces him into a career as a super.

Then the movie can play out where bob learns that you dont need to be fighting villains and using powers to be super and jack jack learns that his family will love him no matter what path he takes

This concept can be applied to a lot of different scenarios. If corporate doesnt want any of the characters to ever age up (bc marketability will go down) then it can be a time travel story where everyone gets transported to the future (without baby jack jack of course) and this all plays out there. Or maybe teen jack jack time travels to the past idk. If that doesnt matter then this can center around a scenario where jack jack loses his powers (maybe a weird beam hit him) and the family has to find out what happened.

I went to X today and saw this semi viral tweet with a picture containing Sorato and Takari

And all of the comments were similar to this :

First of all, what does a picture containing Yamato, Sora, Takeru and Hikari got anything to do with Taichi and why do the fandom insist on bringing him up? Because he is a main character?

Second of all, why do the fandom always reduce characters to be the main character's property? Referring to Hikari as Taichi's sister and Sora as Taichi's friend is weird who apparently "Yamato's family took" is very annoying specially since these sort of comments happen all the time and it's not just one comment referring as Sora and Hikari like that.

They even refered to Takeru as "Yamato's family"! I am genuinely surprised they didn't refer to Yamato himself as Taichi's rival lol

Seriously the more fandoms behave like this, the more I end up disliking main characters and their privileges.

There is a reason why Taichi is the least shippable character to me and it's not because he doesn't have chemistry with other characters (he is the MC with the most screen time lmfao), it's because fandoms act like he owes the entire show

Neither Sorato nor Takari ship got anything to do with Taichi. Leave them alone.

Aside from its blatant reduction of the girl characters as just being extensions of tai, its crazy how much this mischaracterizes almost all of the characters mentioned.

It frames matt as this malicious dude that only views sora as a way to hurt tai, when that is far from the case. Matt is the one character that would never trivialize a relationship like that (and matt is shown to have genuine affection for sora like in the evolution of the unknown drama cds)

It also implies that sora owes something to tai which is just false. She owes nothing to tai. And also the fact that she confessed to matt and not the other way around just proves this wasnt some weird revenge scheme by matt to anger tai. Sora, in her own right, chose to confess to matt, and matt, in his own right, reciprocated those feelings.

It mischaracterizes kari and tk’s very platonic relationship. Like i know its fun to ship them together with the matching angel aesthetics and their childhood history, but its actually so important how those two have a good girl-boy platonic relationship in a boy oriented show. It would have been so easy for toei to pair them up, or pair kari up with just anyone really, but its great how kari manages to stay single until the end and actually have her most meaningful bond be with yolei instead

And it mischaracterizes tai as being bitter about how the relationships worked out when he’s not. He urged sora to go confess to matt. If he had feelings for her, he had right up until she confessed to matt to tell them to her, but he didnt. If he did have a thing for her, he missed his shot and thats just something he’ll have to deal with, but it is no fault of matt or sora for how things turned out. THERE WAS NO BETRAYAL OR RESENTMENT

And tai also has a great relationship with tk. He’s known the kid for so long and even trusted him to look after kari when she was sick, which is kinda really huge considering his backstory. If she were to be in a relationship anyone, im sure tai would be happy if it was tk. (But just a reminder, THEY ARE NOT DATING!)

And dont get me wrong, i love shipping. Ship away all you like (within ethics, of course). But dont treat headcanons/fanfic as canon and then get mad a character didnt do what you imagined. (Also STOP REDUCING GIRL CHARACTER TO THEIR RELATIONSHIPS TO GUYS)

I say this from the bottom of my heart, yugioh duel monster’s original ending is the best ending of all time. Say what you will about the “anime with the funny haired mc” but its ending is really what an ending should be.

They’re both fighting for each other, and a selfish part of them would be fine with losing, but out of respect for the other dueler, they give it their all.

We get to see atem’s growth. He went from someone who used dueling as a showing of pride and power to actually finding dueling fun and exciting. If atem from the first arc was the one dueling during this, i cant say he would take his defeat with grace. But now, after all of that character arc, he sees it as a form of bonding. Not just to the people he duels, but to the monsters that serve him, and as a way to explore himself

It also shows us the audience a very rare instance of yugi dueling by himself. While atem usually did most of the dirty work throughout the series, it shows both atem and us that yugi will be okay without him. And in a poetic way, it shows us why yugi is the superior of the two. Both yugi and atem were pillars for each other, supporting each other through hard times and helping each other grow, but yugi had the strength to let go. Yugi knew he would be okay without atem, since he now has friends and a support system that he didnt have when he first made the wish on the puzzle, but he needed to show atem that he would also be okay. Atem losing to the person everyone deemed as weak and feeling nothing but happiness showed him that they were both ready for their final departure

And lets not forget that this finale was FULL of fanservice and callbacks. Like we got to see SO many of the OG duel monsters that were phased out throughout the arcs. I know this was kinda retconned in the movie (and it wasnt in the manga at all) but it was nice seeing kaiba acknowledge yugi as the king of games.

Also, he seems a bit more edgy than his original counterpart and that’s intentional. Shit hit the fan and it left him kinda apathetic afterwards so that’s why he’s like that.

Dont worry tho, i’ll make sure to include the nicer joey as well 😃

I wish there were more stories that put supergirl and wonder girl (more specifically donna troy) together.

Supergirl is the woman of tomorrow, she doesnt quite fit in bc everything around her is too primitive from what she’s used to.

Wonder girl is the woman of yesterday, who also doesnt fit in bc she was raised in a culture devoid of technology and our society’s customs.

They both face the same challenges despite coming from opposite backgrounds. They both live in a paper thin world that could break if they’re careless. Kara is always comparing Earth to the utopia of krypton, donna is always comparing man’s world to the utopia of themyscira.

I could totally see them being bffs and third wheeling Dick whenever they’re all together
