Fanfiction art! One of mine and one of an old fave (guess which is from mine XD).

You will note I did not link to my own fic - this is due to currently being in the midst of rewriting the entire thing and not wanting to promote a 20 year old poorly written story that is soon to be updated. XD Not to mention the exact scene depicted doesn't even appear in the original version, so there's that. But I am indeed putting my faves through it again, as always. lol

You may also note that Matt never actually wears a turtle neck sweater in LotNS. ^_^;; Story time: when I was first reading the fic back in '02, I read Matt going "I'm really injured and want to hide it; it's a good thing all my shirts have collars" and instantly pictured a turtle neck. This wound up sticking with me, and to this day this is how I picture him in this fic... even though it's wrong. XD I ended up liking it so much, in fact, that it's pretty much become my staple 02 outfit for him - go figure!

With JoAnn's closing, I finally agreed to make my youngest nephew the Appa costume he'd been asking for for years. Many things had gotten me to say no, but knowing I would no longer have easy access to a fabric store convinced me (and my sis who had to pay for the materials) to go for it, and I'm happy I did. So pleased with how it turned out! His older brother decided to be the Cabbage Man (also made by me), and one of their friends was thrilled to join as Zuko (not made by me, lol).

Both nephews loved their costumes, so it was a good Halloween! <3

Since I made my sis tiger earrings, I needed something for me to wear to the sing-along yesterday. A pin of demon Jinu was an easy choice. XD I wanted a half demon Rumi to go with him, but I was sadly missing a key color. Ah well, was still great fun!

It takes a lot for me to break out my craft foam supplies, but this guy was begging to be made. Didn't get any great photos as the magnet went home with my 6-year-old niece and the earrings with my sis, but I had fun working on them. (Not pictured: a Rumi magnet that also got confiscated by the niece, lol.)

Finally finished my King's Quest cross stitch project! Wasn't the first I was planning to do (favorite KQ5 death screen coming soon to a tumblr near you lol), but it took a while for that aida fabric to come in, so I worked with the black I had in the meantime. I think it turned out pretty well, all things considered! (Choosing colors was a paaaaaaaaain)

My Brain: A promise to kill you if you lose yourself is a bond. 8D

From about a month ago. Just never posted them. Kept thinking I might actually finish up the bottom one, but it seems like it might stay simple lineart forever.

First one based on imagery used in my fic "(Keep My) Back To You" (mostly the end of chapter 2, but really it's just a big theme of the first half of the fic).

Was a bit of a weird costume year for me in that I actually got everything done with time to spare! XD Younger nephew wanted to be shrimp tempura sushi, so the older decided to be chopsticks (stilts made by my dad and uncle). But the younger needed a costume he could play an upright bass in, so I threw together the strawberry in a couple days. Turns out it was big enough that my sis could wear it while taking them trick-or-treating!

Only my second time making a costume for my older niece, but she wanted to be Princess Pipp Petals from My LIttle Pony. I had never made a wing/tail harness setup before, but she LOVED it (the hat not so much as it was "kind of annoying" lol), and other than the tail being a bit higher than I'd wanted, I thought it turned out super cute!

Inexplicably sitting around with extra time on my hands, I decided to make Naruto's jacket as I had most of the materials already and the "hair" (which I made... 2 decades ago...? ^_^;;). It might be the most well-constructed thing I've ever made? XD Super comfortable - love it so much!

I got tired of one of my oldest OCs being the only one without a colored thumbnail on ArtFight, lol. Created Gideon here in 10th grade so please excuse the fact that he is a red-haired hothead that can control fire. XD

Gideon has a special place in my heart due to all the memories I have surrounding him. A friend of mine and I used to come up with stories together where one would control one main character and the other would control the other main character. We came up with 6.5 such stories, 5.5 being written down, and 4.5 still surviving to this day (one I turned into an AU fanfic and is up on my ffn account lol). Gideon is from our 4th story, and it's always been my favorite. It's not good by any means, but we had a blast working on it - our notebook is chock full of inside jokes all over the margins.

So yeah, this is Ignatius Gideon Russell - Gideon to friends, Iggy to anyone that wants to be burned to a crisp. His grandpa was the last dragon in the world, hiding in human form to keep from being hunted, and his red hair/eyes and affinity for fire were passed down to Gideon.

When he was young, Gideon accidentally set his house on fire and killed his parents. Ever since, he was feared and ostracized, living alone on the edge of town, until a wandering shapeshifter named Cecilia decided he was interesting and tried to make friends with him.

After being accused of murdering a local bully, Gideon, with Cecilia in tow, ran off. While trying to stay ahead of the soldiers chasing them, the two had various adventures, all while coming to understand what it meant to just simply be a friend to someone.

He's a total jerk. He can be a real idiot. He's the most stubborn person ever. And I absolutely love him. XD
