Girlfriend is rapidly switching between one very sweet, kind, meek headmate and one headmate with eyes I can only describe as inhumanly predatory and it really feels like being stalked through a sunny and familiar forest by something quiet and terrifying.

Something changes in the air, some alteration in the breath, and there's a hand around my throat and a voice in my ear and nails at my waist and all at once it falls away and I'm getting a sweet hug and "Hello!" with a sing-song voice but I'm shaken.
