What's your creative process? As in, how do you decide what to write for every entry? How do you decide stuff like characters, doalogue, Action, story, etc etc. What's your creative process for Hollow Town as a whole?
If you don't mind me asking.
Well... honestly its more difficult than I thought it'd be.
I mapped out what each entry is going to be. Entry 1 is the introduction. Entry 2 is fleshing things out and setting up the pay off. Entry 3 is the pay off/climax. Entry 4 is... well you get the idea.
When I write stuff down I try to balance between just letting the story flow naturally and trying to make sure things stay on a certain path that leads to where I ultimately want the story to go.
There was a cut bit in entry 1 where Jeff was gonna have a ptsd attack from juice spilling all over him but I cut it cause that didn't really lead to anything.
I decide what characters say based on me trying to figure out what these characters would say in this situation based on who they are.
Their actions are the same way.
The Story I try to just make sure everything is tightly wound. Hollowtown is in a permanent state of setting things up because of this. This story has existed in my head for years so to me this feels kinda like a final draft. Or like how the One Piece Live Action series streamlines the plot but also introduces things WAY earlier. Like I said in the past, Syke was brought into the story WAY earlier than I initially planned.
Creatively, Entry 3 was actually me showing my hand a little early since I wanted to show readers how intense the series could be since we were a few entries in. Thats why its kinda the "Hype moments and Aura" entry.
Honestly I think Hollowtown will be easier on me to write once we finally get to the titular Hollowtown.
