âNever hearing your voice again is right up there, actually.â
sarcasticdamsel:
âI think this year, Iâm going to lay low and have a quiet New Years.â
âYou sure about that?â
bloodywisdcm:
âI was letting it slide. The fact is, darling, that if I really wanted to, I could find a guy to marry me on the spot. Youâre forgetting that I have⊠oh what are they called? Breasts.â
âYes, yes, breasts this breasts that. If only the world worked that way. The truth of the matter is that nobody is gonna pay a second look to those breasts as soon as you open your mouth.â
bloodywisdcm:
âWow, that was a great impersonation of my mother. Really spot on. Sheâd even use the word flaw.â
âYouâre missing the point entirely, darling.â
qxeenofolympus:
âBut why wouldnât I? I already planned on bringing you back a souvenir.â
âOh, feeling festive are we? Bring Herculesâ head on a spike and weâll call a truce.â
bloodywisdcm:
âI think Iâm going to tell my mother Iâm engaged. Serves two purposes. Firstly, means that my parents will stop asking why Iâm not engaged. Secondly, will piss my mother off because she hasnât met the guy and will have no part in the wedding.â
âFlaw: Nobody would ever want to marry you. Not plausible. Nice try though.â
qxeenofolympus:
âItâs official, I leave for Greece this weekend!â Hera chimed happily. âIâll be home for Christmas.â
âSplendid! Now donât come back.â
jasonorazio:
âWell, I donât know what youâre expecting then, cause this is all me and youâve known it for long ass time,â said Oogie with a too casual shrug from his shoulders. âBecause I deal all your money and make sure thereâs no penny stolen. Although, you should already invest in decent liquor for the Underworld,â said Oogie before rolling his eyes at the man, âYeah, and not fun either.â
Narrowing his features and rubbing his temples, Hades grew more and more irritable as the seconds ticked by. âIâll get a new dealer.â He interrupted, criticising the tone of the other man. Disliking the notion that anybody had any dominion over his âbelongingsâ - be them true or not. âWhen I want your opinion, Iâll ask for it.â He snapped, shooting the other man a ruby-tinted stare.
toulxuse:
He laughed, hanging his head a moment. âI mean, it is. But you just have to open up your mind, really think about it.â Toulouse looked back up to the stranger. âNot everyone gets modern art though. I would not stress too much.â
Dismay plastering his features, Hades grunted as his eyes continued to bore into the painted piece. âMy eyes are open, mate. Whatâs there to see?â Curiosity got the better of him - his choice to impress Persephone by indulging in something other than himself an instant regret. âHow much would a piece like this cost? Hypothetically, of course.â
tobehospitable:
âBut, it is a very romantic time of the year. Women love a good romance.â
âThey donât.â He stated bluntly. âWomen like men. Romance is a pay-as-you-go extension.â
prxserpinx:
It was not a good time to be around Persephone in any way. The woman was stressed with her new line of cosmetics. coming out and whoever spoke with her would be mostly gifted with a snarl or a click of her tongue. Things had to be perfect. Even when she was on her artistic roller skater classes the brunette couldnât take her head off the cosmetics. Leading to a dislocation in her right ankle for the lack of attention. Ever since her routine had tragically changed, and she was not pleased. Never one to lose her temper the brunette thrived in her nerves of steel. Those were the days. Nowadays she would mostly find herself chewing a sweet gum or eating candies to calm herself down.
Bathed in the golden afternoon light, struggling as she strolled through the crowd and snow, lost in thoughts as her body walked her home without much consideration of her part, acting in modus operandi. Never telling Hades why sheâs been seeing limping around the city, he would not condone any sort of weakness at his side so the woman suck the sting of aching ankle between her teeth and walk slowly whenever he is on her sight.
A sigh of relief left her lips as Persephone at last arrived at the building, home. Or at least thatâs what she keeps telling herself when another of the many fights would come along. Wearing the best smile she had the woman opened the door of her shared apartment with her boyfriend, everything was so quiet⊠And Kero wasnât there at the door to welcome her. Furrowing her eyebrows the woman took off her high heels before actually stepping in.
âHades, dear, where is Kero? He should be home alreâŠâ Her words trailed off as she found the surprise the male prepared for her. The roses so well placed in the middle of the table, and the cupcaked with the pomegranate frosting.
Persephone picked one cupcake with her petit hand, absorving all the details of the intruscate pattern of sugar. A smile formed in her lips, the woman would never see this coming. Searching for the male she spotted golden locks on the other side of the room. âI-I loved it, thank you.â She said stepping closer him and taking his hand into her own, her thumb drawing patterns in the back of his hand. âThank you so much.â Her voice filled with emotion for the surprise.
Romance had never occurred naturally. His engine too rusty, any form of sentimentality had been jump-started by a third party. Though it never phased him. It was what made his job so much easier to be savoured. Heartless, as he called himself. Not exactly true--- but buried deep beneath years of confusion and desperation. The desperation to be loved had stemmed from what he called abandonment. Walking the halls of a boarding school whose language he knew little of, with only the shadows for company. While he often indulged in being the brother who strayed from the conditioned flock--- it soon bore an emptiness in him that he carried to this day. Truth be told; he was terrified. Persephone and her unwavering commitment to the man who worked so hard, day in day out, to be the monster he believed he had been bred to be. Circumstances aligned, or perhaps is was a higher power residing in the stars above. Tugging at the strings as though he was a puppet. But Persephone? He never understood her. The power of belief she held was, although often criticised by him and mistaken for ignorance--- he envied it. âYouâre welcome.â Was all her could conjure in that moment. What was there to be said of a couple baked goods and some flowers he could pick from his garden, if he could even afford one? Careful not to become blinded by the surreal tone lingering between the two, the heavy-footed man inched closer to his brunette companion. Scarred and bruised arms snaked around her petite frame, his own almost engulfing it entirely. âYou like it, donât you?â He could have almost smiled. Pride being kept at bay as he allowed the woman to revel in the moment. âYouâre welcome a hundred times over.â He pressed a kiss to her forward, his less favourable demons screaming out to him that if a 20 buck impromptu dinner date could please her, anything in his power from then on could.
âNo...no. Too perfect.â Hades waved his hand dismissively at the woman whom heâd tasked to bake a dozen red velvet cupcakes. A trivial thing really, holding no real importance. However, the underlying, pressing issue that his anger was what fueled him on the daily had once again, delved into dangerous territory. Dangerous being the only thing held dear to him; vanishing. He had no true fears. In his own icy blues, he was successful. Notorious and verging on something that some would call inhuman. His ego, his envy and his exasperation over minute details that other would ignore. Theyâd lose him the only thing that held equal importance to life itself. Put on its own, artificial pedestal. Persephone.
âI said red velvet. They look orange. Make them again.â A calloused hand reached into a mane of blonde locks, unkempt for months on end. Never finding the inspiration to make a mile journey to visit a man with a pair of scissors. He had his own pair at home. âHurry up---â He began, glancing at his watch only for a moment. 4:41pm. He had twenty minutes to finish up in a backstreet bakery, dart home through crowds of people - most of which were to his distaste as it stood - and set up something in his own definition of romantic. The non-existent manifestation of his labyrinth mind. Time flew, he waited and was rewarded with a dozen red velvet cupcakes, each with illustrations of a pomegranate etched into the delicate icing. Aryls adorned each like a hat. The pairâs motif screaming out of each and every delicacy. Subsequently, the manâs frazzled brain had edged him towards a wandering flower shop, owned by an old woman with brilliant red waves of hair. As a tribute to his love, he picked up a two dozen red roses. They smelt sickly sweet, he felt repulsion harboring itself to him. A one off. He told himself many a time.
A one off. He mused as he set up half-burnt candles, a tablecloth devoured by his loveâs dog on a table that had seen better days. Perhaps in the 1800s. Makeshift napkins set at a table for two, the roses holding their place as the centerpiece. His revision watching his umpteenth teen movie had, somehow, done him a service. Despite the concept forging a bitter taste in his mouth, his own dread filling him that somehow word would spread like wildfire and heâd lose the rotten reputation heâd worked so hard to maintain. But alas, it was done. A dozen cupcakes teamed with a dozen roses. Not bad for an impromptu passing thought that had been adopted and expanded by a man whose concept of romance, on all days bar this, consisted of a kiss on the cheek and a team of empty apologies.Â

Toulouse laughed, shaking his head. âNo no. I donât own the gallery or the museum,â He sipped his coffee between sentences. âI just find the paintings. I donât think I could handle dealing with all the staff.â
âLooks like an apple on a table to me.â Hades shrugged in his ignorance, dismissing the passionate words that followed.
xtermis:
âOh please, we all know the problem is you, hothead, the big surprise is you actually admiting it for once.â
âItâs the whole jolly holly--- Christmas bullshit. Practically a saint I am.â
âEver heard of walkinâ?â Peering down at the brunette, Hades shook his head. âAlmost forgot youâre above that, my apologies.â Sarcasm returned to his tone of voice, heavy in the rasp of it all. âWhatever you want - my dear. Not like that car was of any use to us.â Hand found itself buried in uncombed tufts of blonde, head continuing to shake. âOr we could sleep under the stars? Like the good ol' days. Me, you, without a pomegranate in sight.â
maleficent-mechant:
âWell Hades, I can see you havenât lost your charm after all these yearsâ Mal said slyly taking another sip of her drink
Familiar voice, dripping in eloquence. It mustâve been his lucky day. âMaleficent, it cannot be? Always count on you to inflate my ego, sunshine.âÂ
tobehospitable:
â Everythingâs magical when it snows, Everything looks pretty. â
âKind of a warped definition of pretty, donât ya think? Everythingâs dyinâ, women are less inclined to get their tits out. But yeah, bloody magical mate.â
