“This is surprisingly not the worst thing we’ve done. This is like, maybe halfway up the list.”
“Unsurprisingly more like - I don’t know about you, Darling, but this is one of the nicer things I’ve done” she smiled over to the other woman with a light laugh “But I can make things much, much worse if you like?”
“Despite the cliche, it’s not me, it’s you.”
“Well Hades, I can see you haven’t lost your charm after all these years” Mal said slyly taking another sip of her drink
“I don’t think I’ll ever quite get over the feeling of ‘not belonging’ at these sort of events,” gaze drifts around the room as his hand reaches for another flute of champagne from a passing tray. Eugene’s almost positive the last time he was in a room this fancy, he was stealing something — and he’s been to a number of big galas and parties over the last several years. This one has to take the cake, though. “Sorry, did you want me to grab you a drink, too?”
“No one ‘belongs’ at these sort of events” she said, her gaze following various well-dressed people as they all flirted and talked politics with each other. Maleficent sipped on the flute she was holding, finishing it off before placing it on the table behind her. She had seen a lot of people here, every single one of them was fake or faking it to some degree. Her attention snapped back to Eugene and smirked “I will never say no to a drink - i have a feeling that unless something very interesting happens shortly, we’ll have to make our own entertainment tonight”
Drizella had lost Rex in the flurry of party goers. It was a bit annoying, as they clearly were the IT couple at the event, and as such, they should be seen together as much as possible. Rather than fret too much on it, she took a moment to walk through the crowd to admire the glittering dresses, the decoration, and make plans for who she should speak with before the night was over.
“Drizella.”
She stopped at the sound of her name,” Yes?”
“Miss Drizella Tremaine - is that you?” Mal sauntered over, reviling in the event. It had been a while since she saw all of Bedeviled’s best and brightest flaunting themselves around together, and what better place than at the pretence of a charity ball? “My my, it has been an age since I saw you last - pray tell, what delicious little things have you been up to since?”

“Is it really? I was fairly certain that it was what I should be worrying about at this present moment in time.” He was hardly cocky. Everything that he said was the truth. “What would you know about that?”
“You wouldn’t be too terribly worried about that if you knew more about me” she winked, teasing the man once again “Then again you strike me as the kind of person that only goes skin deep so you probably wouldn’t be too worried anyway.” she laughed “Oh darling, I’ve seen pretty faces like yours think they can get right to the top with just that - and unless you have something a little . . . stronger” she moved her hands subtly and let a cold wisp of air brush the back of his neck “You’ll find yourself at the bottom of the pile”

“Of course, not everything is going to match up with the stories. I imagine any accounts of real magic would get wildly blown out of proportion. It would be surprising to see a vegetable turn into a carriage, to say the least.” But who is she to say, really? She’s encountered so few others with any grasp of magic of any sort, and with only true confidence in the knowledge of her own powers, the broadness of what others may be capable of is something she thinks it unwise to truly speculate about. However, with only a few living people knowing about what she can do, Elsa’s left pretending she knows nothing — and it’s better this way. “It is interesting to think about, isn’t it?”
Maleficent laughed a little, hearing the blonde go off on her little rant, clearly not noticing the spoon. The cafe was empty enough so she decided to play a little bit of a game with the girl and see how long it would take her to realize. “Stories can’t just be that though, you’re right. Much like rumors things are based in truth, no matter how out of the water they become” she mused, removing her hand and letting the spoon continue to stir, still to no notice. “See, I - for one - believe that there is a great possibility that real magic exists, simply down to the fact that there’s too much evidence proving it does” she moved her hand gently and the milk slowly moved across the table till it reached her fingers. “However the basis would be more elemental than your typical fairytale magic.” she looked over at the blonde “Actually would you say it’s feeling a little chilly in here?”

He felt her pull away and he took a few breaths. Upstairs. They were going upstairs and the rest of him was greatly appreciative of this. He followed her lead towards the bedroom and the door opened. He followed her inside and took care to be sure the door was shut behind them. He knew better than to open his mouth again. A moment later, he moved to capture her lips with his own in a fiery kiss as his hands caressed along her body and they backed towards the bed.
When she heard the finality of the door clicking shut she tossed her shoes and took out the pin in her hair, letting it fall down around her waist. When he pulled her in she let herself melt into the kiss. It was hot and passionate and just what she liked. She pulled him towards the bed and at the last minute turned him around and pushed him back onto it, climbing on top of him and unbuttoning her shirt. She was having fun, and she lent down and gave him another kiss, lightly biting his bottom lip with her teeth

Mal let her nails drag through his hair and down his neck and back, pulling him closer as her kisses became hungrier. She felt him kissing her and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. It was purely physical, but it was still desire. She pulled away from him slightly so there was only a breath between them “Upstairs. Now” she said, starting to move towards the bedroom and bringing him with her

After taking another sip of her drink, Dory swiftly shook her head, “Oh, no no not everything. I could never forget everything. Sometimes I wish I could but we can’t all be so lucky..” the woman sighed. “I just forget bits of conversations or short term memory things on occasion..”
“Well there’s always ways and means if you do want to forget everything” she said, wondering what this girl’s mind was like “I might even be able to help you out there. Ah i see . . .so things like names, places, people even?”

Copper tried not to be taken aback by the reveal that his ex knew the girl in the park. He rolled his eyes when she spoke about Eve, a girl he had a long history with. “You may know her now, but I knew her when she was good. She cared about people, she protected people. Maybe she is more about hurting people now, but there is still good in her.” He shook his head. “You’re Mal aren’t you? I’m not one to lie all that often, so I’m happy I’m not good at it.”
“Sure you did, sweetheart. She used to be as good as gold” she laughed again. “I’m almost sorry to tell you this, but if you think she ever was genuinely good then you really didn’t know her at all.” she smiled and gave a little nod “My reputation precedes me then! Maleficent Mechant, in the flesh” she raised an eyebrow as he spoke “Probably best not in your case, but then from what I’ve heard you don’t need lies to hurt people. That’s a real skill that could be put to use - have you picked a side yet?”
“Someone drew a picture of me today, and they made my nose look enormous,” he looks genuinely distraught as he pulls out the drawing to show it off, before looking at it again himself, “of course, to be fair, the kid was like 6, so I should probably cut him some slack, huh? But my nose isn’t that big, is it? My nose looks fine?”
Mal inspected the man with a passive gaze “Well if i said it was a bit on the larger side, what good would that really do you - you planning on having a little work done there?”

“So, maybe we could help each other out then. The best girls have to stick together after all.” Eve replied with a smirk, tilting her head slightly at her friend. When it came to hurting someone she knew Mal was one of the best to get the job done, and of course be her go to.
She smiled “I agree, because we also deserve nothing but the best. What do you have in that wonderful, scheming mind?” she gave her friend a small wink “You’d be interested to know though - that a former fling of yours was snooping around recently. Making comments about when you ‘used to be good’ or so he said” she laughed “We could have a little fun there on our downtime if you like, Darling”

He was handsome and dashing. He did not appreciate being called pretty of all things. “My cockiness? Madam, you seem to have a horrible disposition.”
“My disposition is the last thing you need to be worrying about,” she laughed a little, enjoying having made him irritated “And yes, cockiness. To be full of ones’ self and think too highly of yourself. But then again, a pretty face will get you a lot in this world”
“I don’t think it’s entirely implausible that magic exists,” coming from someone who knows all too well that it does, her answer seems safe. Trying not to appear too uncomfortable by the subject being discussed, Elsa offers the other a small smile. “There are so many stories about it, aren’t there? The folklore from cultures around the world would seem to suggest that there’s some basis for real magic to exist in the world,”
“No,” she grinned at the blonde, taking another sip of her tea “I would definitely say it’s rather plausible that magic exists” Maleficent watched the woman grow more and more uncomfortable with every passing moment “Folklore, tales, bedtime stories - it’s all a little contrite though, wouldn’t you agree. I mean people changing into animals and vegetables becoming carriages, that’s a touch far fetched for me” She reached to the milk and pored some into her tea, only when the spoon was put in to stir it, Mal gently muttered under her breath and the spoon mixed the tea on it’s own, following her fingers, just ever so slightly out of reach of her hand. “But still, I find it all rather . . .fascinating”
