Hello, I'm Tala. I go by she/they and I'm a raging sapphic who is in my early 20s. I've been an ARMY and Taekooker since 2016 and I double bias Taehyung and Jungkook. Yoongi bias-wrecks me out of nowhere occasionally. English is not my first language but I speak it along with two other languages (my national language and regional dialect). I am currently self-studying Korean and planning to continue my Japanese after I have decent knowledge of Korean grammar.

I love Taekook so much. I love them both as individuals and as a duo. I strongly believe in the bond and love Taehyung and Jungkook share, and that Taehyung fell first, only realizing later, but Jungkook fell harder and is aware of it. I also miss them on a daily basis (who doesn't?)

BTS is not the only fandom I'm in but it's the one I'm in the longest. This account is also not new; in fact, it had a long history but I barely use this app other than scrolling for art. Now it does have its use! As an escape from Twitter in case things get messy and suffocating (because it is Twitter) (if you want to follow my twitter account, click here. It is actually new cause I deactivated my previous account and forgot to reactivate it, thus losing all my mutuals 😔)

This page is welcome to all, especially Taekookers, and you can send asks anytime you want but I have limits. I may not be able to answer them instantly because this busy bee has a life outside the internet. And my tolerance for hate comments targeted towards Taehyung, Jungkook, any other BTS members, or myself and fellow Taekook enjoyers (especially my mutuals) is low and I will choose to answer those when necessary. Otherwise, it goes to the dumpster.

the thing i find funny is that no one but him knew that taehyung was in the dressing room/was about to arrive (although i tend to believe that he came and left with jungkook) and I don't think he was confused at all while singing this part, because he was so focused and confident about it.

I want to add one more thing:

During that day, Jungkook did a weverse live and casually he readed this question "when you and Taehyung hyung will live together?", I know that many people have various opinion about it and most of them where furious to that army for asking such question, but in my opinion I believe it was a translation mistake because live/live are the same word with different meaning, maybe the translator took the word "live" as "life" and it was translated in 살다 (salda), so I think that this army was trying to ask about to do a (weverse) live together.

However, awhile before Jungkook said that he won't answer uncomfortable or inappropriate questions so if that question was bother him he could have just simply avoid it or say "no" and not address it ...

Beside, the giggle and whiny tone he used for answer the question was so sweet and sus at the same time lol, like when Tae arrived and he asked "where were you?", "where have you been?", without greeting him first like the rest of the members usually do with each other when they go to support. For me it was a totally boyfriend behavior!

last thing, I know that one should never ask such sensitive questions, I always try to leave positive messages under the live <3

From time to time I think about this:

Maybe it’s because I’m biased, but sometimes it seems almost impossible not to understand how close they are and what a deep relationship there is between the two.

I don’t think everything can always be a coincidence between the two of them...

The past couple of months have been interesting and given me some new perspective on why the fandom's hatred for Taekook/Taekookers is such an outlier compared to all other pairings and shippers. I've talked before about how there are so many layers to this, and I still think a big part of it is that when they actually look at Taekook they see the same things we do and it bothers them. They hate us so much for bringing attention to it and celebrating it. They think that if they silence Taekookers this thing they consider a problem will go away or they'll at least be able to fully ignore it. They'll never be able to silence us but if they did I have no doubt Taekook would continue Taekooking and they'd slowly start to realize we're just a deflection for the resentment they feel toward Taekook themselves. The layer to all of this that has become clearer to me recently is that the hatred is rooted in the company stan mindset. The company is always right. The company gets preferential treatment over the members for a large and loud portion of the fandom. The kind of people who "educate" baby ARMYs when they join. The group gets preferential treatment over the individual members. Company >>> group >>> members. Distaste for Tae is also deeply rooted in this mindset. Because the company set him up as the outsider and it stuck. They will never free him from this. For Jungkook, it's kind of the exact opposite. The group made him who he is. Everything he is and everything he has accomplished is because of what the group did for him, how they "raised" him. And he owes them everything in their eyes. That's why they claim his achievements for the group, even the ones the group had nothing to do with. Taekook as individuals and as a pair constantly challenge these narratives. There has always been resentment toward them in the fandom bubbling just under the surface for this specific reason. They will not let them be free from the established narrative without a fight. When they're not being loud about it, it's microaggressions 24/7. It's calling people who defend them solos or shippers (the worst thing you can be in this fandom). It's attacking anyone who acknowledges them as individuals without giving the group and the fandom the credit they feel they are entitled to for everything Taekook accomplish.

Taekook are a threat. Taekookers are a threat by extension, because they need all of the members in the group to be equal and for all of their relationships to be equal. Taekook is the outlier. Solo era made it more obvious than ever. It was just them showing how involved in each other's lives they are outside of their work as a group. They hate us for it. The company comes in to try to retcon it all, but it's too late. The phony narratives set by them will die, and it will probably hurt for a lot of people. If you're wondering why it seems so many people are spiraling and attacking Taekookers more than usual now, that's why. It's not just about their relationship although that is a factor. It's them as a pair and individuals and how they challenge everything they are desperate to keep believing.

I’ve seen people say it’s always Tae who gives taekook away. Do you think that is true and why do you think that is?

Hi anon!

No, I don’t think that is true at all. I think that’s generally an idea that’s pushed by a certain side of fandom.. for obvious reasons. I can actually probably tell you exactly how that idea came to be. It has to do with focusing on the grand gesture kinda things.. which we know a certain aide loves to do.

First of all, Tae and Jk have different ways of interacting with fandom, and different ways of showing their connection. I think what has people see this as imbalanced, focus on the way Tae makes these kinda ‘statement’ posts. Tae has obviously made a couple of posts that really single out Jk. When you look at everything Tae and Jk do though, they both mention each other a lot and possibly equally. Jk has made it clear that Tae is a fixed person in his life. Above all, through their actions they have made it clear that for each other, they have been the only member that was consistently in their life even during solo era.

The thing is, people tend to think that Jk needs to make it clear to fandom that Tae is special to him, which is incorrect and I think that’s a part of fandom that bothers Jk to be honest. The only person to whom Jk needs to make it clear how important he is to him, is Tae himself and I am convinced without a doubt that Tae knows. These man have lived with fandom spaces for so long now, they know better than to think a sm post is necessary to show how much they care for each other.

Aside from that. I have often thought that Jk has the most obvious tells when it comes to his affection for Tae. I think Tae is better in hiding his emotions and reactions (also not perfect though) and I think Jk is best in hiding the ‘grand gesture stuff’. But Jk shows his emotions and reactions more imo. I actually think that Jk is very much aware of what he looks like when he looks at Tae. You can tell by him trying to either correct or hide his reaction. Jk will so often look down or away to hide his face. He will so often try to hide an emotion (whether it’s a smile or annoyance or jealousy) by a movement of either his mouth or his tongue or his nose. He’s unable to stop himself from his immediate reaction to Tae really often. Those things are not what most people pay attention to though, because they are subtle and subjective.

So, I disagree and I think it’s because people pay attention to the wrong things.
