Hello! I just filled out the author sign up form, and I noticed there’s no way to indicate that you’re not interested in writing AUs or OCs (no hate for either of those things, they’re just really truly not my strong suit). I actually didn’t see anywhere on the author’s form to indicate DNWs besides crossovers and NSFW.
Did I miss something or is it not possible for author’s to add DNWs like that?

Author DNWs will be asked for during the matching process. In the matching process, Authors will rate each artwork in terms of how much they would like to write a fic for it. For example, if you give the artwork a 0, then you would not be matched with that artwork. Meanwhile, if you gave it a 10, the likelihood of getting that artwork would be higher. Artists, for their first check-in, will submit: - their artwork - what fandom(s) - characters - romantic relationships and/or platonic relationships (if applicable) - their DNWs that authors must abide by - notes/plot suggestions that authors can be inspired by, but do not have to follow With the Artists' submission, mods will create a form for Authors to fill out and rate so that we can match everyone to an idea/concept that they love.

Does the artwork need to be completely finished in order to sign up? Also, what's the time line for the event?
In order to sign up for the Project Hail Mary Reverse Bang, your artwork does not need to be finished!
When you sign up, all we ask is for you to join our Discord and what type of artwork you think you'd draw. Specifically, we ask whether you plan to draw a crossover with another fandom (such as Iron Lung, the MCU, The Fall Guy, etc.) and whether you believe your artwork would be NSFW.
As for the timeline, it's available on our carrd.
For Artists specifically, they will have 3 check-ins.
August 30 — 30% progress (thumbnails or structural sketches)
—September, Authors will claim art pieces
December 06 — 60% progress (polished line art / equivalent)
February 21 — 100% completed artwork

If an artist were to submit a comic as their chosen format, should dialogue be added to the initial wip to be used in the selection process ?
That is up to the Artist-Author pair! An artist may want to include dialogue in their WIP for Authors during the selection process, or maybe they'll leave the dialogue blank. Dialogue can always be changed, especially as a fic progresses. In all likelihood, the Artist-Author pair will work together to figure out the specific wording, but Artists are free to do what they want, as it is their artwork at the end of the day.
