I voice 14 different characters in THE ELEPHANT available now on HBO Max, this was such a unique, fascinating experience. Three different creative teams led by Pendleton Ward, Rebecca Sugar + Ian Jones-Quartey, and Patrick McHale each worked separately on segments without seeing what the others were doing, essentially an animated version of Exquisite Corpse.
Jordan Jensen voices the lead character, and Maria Bamford and I play ALL the other characters. Getting to work with all these incredible creators was a dream come true for me, and it was one of the most unique recording processes I've ever been a part of, just working with three different creative teams in succession and weirdly knowing more about the entire project than any of them individually, since none of them were allowed to know anything about the other segments. I'm very grateful to be a part of such a cool project
"homosexuality is unnatural! there's only two genders! it's a sin-"
I'm sorry, have you seen NATURE???
and there's so many more species than this that exhibit homosexuality, varying genders, etc. SO! MANY!
it's very much a natural thing. it always has been. unfortunately, while homosexuality is found in many species, homophobia is only found in one
ALSO THE ARTIST IS HUMON, FIND THEM AT HUMONCOMICS.COM!! was so sure I had included that but apparently I forgot, so sorry!
Some good news

Theres something really insidious about how gastric bypass advocates deny that essential organ mutilation is unhealthy.
"I've lost so much weight I'm so healthy" your stomach is mutilated.
"My doctor is praising my progress" your stomach is mutilated.
"I fit in so many more clothes now"
Because an essential, life sustaining organ in your body was cut up and your digestive system rerouted.
Health isn't the end all be all of value, humanity or importance but I feel like there is a huge lie here when this is "healthy" and it's just ignored.
Sorry to just bring this up out of no where but I was reminded of how little this is really talked about in bypass circles. Like, no matter what, you are now unhealthy. The spector of health continues. The Ouroboros is unbroken. Only this time it's doctor approved.

I would like to talk about this actually because I don’t think enough people realize how serious these sorts of “procedures” actually are. Because yes, one horrible mutilation to your digestive in the name of being skinny isn’t bad enough, there’s multiple iterations of this distressing Sawbones trend.
This is the lap band. Often touted as being the safest because the band can be removed or at least opened up to allow more food through. What does it do specifically? Makes it so that you can only eat as much as will fit in that teeny tiny little pouch. The issue is that the stomach itself as a full functioning organ is designed to stretch to hold food. The artificially made pouch is not. Eat a bit too much on a normal stomach and you typically just feel bloated and full and need to lie down for a while. Eat a little too much with a lap band, and you can cause the esophagus to stretch out too much and stop contracting. This can lead to severe acid reflux and loss of the ability to swallow properly. In an extreme case this could instead rupture the esophagus and/or stomach which is a medical emergency for obvious reasons. The band can also slip out of place and construct the larger part of the stomach, causing severe pain and discomfort. This is the only one of these procedures that is reversible.
Gastric sleeve is another form. It amounts to removing 80% of the stomach, permanently limiting the amount of food you can eat at a time DRASTICALLY. It can also cause frequent or constant drops in blood sugar, hernias (the small intestine may enter the incision site, or the mutilated stomach may slip out of its place and interfere with other organs), severe acid reflux, malnutrition, and frequent vomiting. Incision site can also build up scar tissue that further obstructs the stomach and prevents eating normally.
Gastric bypasses are among the worst though, and there are multiple kinds because of course there are, so I’m just going to cover the most common in the US. The one in the OP is an RNY bypass. Basically cuts the top corner out of the stomach, sews it to the small intestine, and then also sews the remainder of the stomach to the small intestine so gastric acid and other digestive materials can still meet the food. To get an idea of how small the remaining part of the stomach is, it holds about 28g. A normal stomach in an adult human holds around 1200g. For reference, 28g is around the size of a domestic mouse and 1200g is around the size of a red tailed hawk if that’s more easy to visualize. But I digress. RNY bypasses are so special they get all the side effects of the lap band and the gastric sleeve, but don’t give the medal for worst long term issue caused by bariatric surgery to the hernia yet, because we have dumping syndrome with the bypass. What’s dumping system? Well, the intestine actually wasn’t designed to take food straight from the glorified esophagus. Due to concentration gradients and pH levels clashing, you could be dealing with severe diarrhea as soon as 30 minutes after eating. Any meal but especially meals with sugar has a very high chance of causing this. But don’t wait, there’s more horrific bonuses if you get this surgery, because there’s also our great friend bowel obstruction and gallstones. Again, along with all of the above risks.
Not to mention that the idea of it being used as a way to curb weight gain from binge eating isn’t even solving the base issue. It’s just making people suffering from a disorder look more presentable to society by starving them. Binge Eating Disorder ISN’T curbed by mutilating an organ- it’s curbed through medication and therapy.
Because it’s a compulsive disorder.
Which, by the by, not at all helped by organ mutilation.
do not use betterhelp. do not support betterhelp. do not believe betterhelp.
they:
-do not vet their therapists
-forcefully shut down negative commentary
-lie to therapists
-lie to consumers
-trap therapists in exploitative contracts
-sells users data
etc
Since I know a lot of my followers are also LGBTQ+: Pride Counseling is operated by the same company as Better Help, so don’t use them either.
from personal expirence, i am begging yall to completely avoid betterhelp. they specifically push christian therapists onto patients who ask for non-christian help. they did it to me and theyve done it to others. the therapists will consistently pressure you into using a camera or doing audio calls, even if you request against it. the therapists are actively homophobic and transphobic and will spread that rhetoric during your sessions.
do not use betterhelp. do not even give them the time of day.
Facts about your body after you turn 25, AKA things I wish someone had told me:
you will get hair in fun new places. this is normal and fine.
these places include (but are not limited to) if you don't already have them: your asscrack, your back, your ears, and moles. it's fine.
some of you, dick or not, will also lose hair. this is normal, but also if you have ovaries maybe get this checked out for PCOS.
your acne will probably change. some people get better. some people get worse. it's fine.
your nails will probably get an infection or a fungus at least once in your life. this is fine. (but also let your doc know).
how you gain and lose fat and where you do so will change. this is fine.
how you smell will change. this is fine. (fishy or rotten smells mean doctor time though)
if you have a prostate: it gets harder to pee. prostates enlarge as you age (get this checked regularly). this is fine.
if you do not have a prostate: it gets easier to pee but not in a good way. as in as you get older, your pelvic floor muscles tend to lose some of their strength. this makes it harder to keep pee in. this is fine.
all breasts and pectorals eventually sag, with the rest of your body. this is fine.
a decent percent of the population will experience a cyst at least once. some of you will make up for the rest with multiple. this is fine, but keep them checked out by a doctor. (sometimes this is a condition! get checked for that too!)
almost half of everyone gets hemorrhoids. it's a good idea to just expect them since your chances of getting them get higher the older you are. your toilet will look like a murder scene. definitely get your booty checked out BUT this is almost always perfectly normal. just eat more fiber. "but I already-" eat more fiber. and maybe suck it up and buy some hemorrhoid cream, you'll thank me later.
yes, this means you will probably need to make an appointment for a doctor to see your butthole. it's okay. not only do they really not care but 1. they've seen weirder that day and 2. they'd far rather you see them now than later when it's been going on for forty years and now it might be colon cancer. it's okay. consider it a rite of passage.
adults need more sleep than children. don't believe the myth that you need less than they do. that is capitalist propaganda to make you give up more of your life to the work grind, comrade.
vitamins and medicine, something you are more likely to take as you get older, sometimes make the toilet turn weird colors. it's okay.
if you still have your tonsils and get those little stones and get sore throats more than once a year you should plan on getting those suckers out before the tonsils cause an infection and go septic. if you're getting stones at all you should get those reevaluated every year, especially if the stones are bigger than a needlehead (or get bigger over time). it's gross and yucky. I don't care. get them looked at before you end up in the hospital.
you'll probably need to add foot support to your shoes if you don't already do. this is fine.
your body changes. sometimes it can feel sorta weird and upsetting that it isn't what it used to be. that is okay, and it is okay to be upset. just know that this is normal, it's normal to be upset or not upset, but don't let it hinder your quality of life. trans or cis, there is a certain level of acceptance you just gotta give your body and forgive your body for as you get older. it's okay.
it's okay. I promise.
What is the best part of this image?
the cross-species fucking
choosing a tiger of all things an animal infamous for its 15-second-long coitus
the ghost of Albert Einstein watching approvingly from the skies like Mufasa
“NO BONE ROT!”, implying that other gas station dick pills do cause bone rot
dick pills solemly swear to increase your IQ and spatial awareness
implication that Increased Deductive Reasoning is a highly desired sex squality
encourages minors to ask their parents permission to consume drugs
the combination of all of the above
