To my Jimmy,
Who I’m sure was my soulmate. You showed me that the truest form of love came from the bonds that you couldn’t speak to. I think even though you were a dog I’ll always grieve your death the most.
I was used to humans coming and going in my life, so I always got over it quickly. You seen my happiest and darkest sides but loved me anyway without question. God what I wouldn’t give to hear you tail wagging, hitting the wooden floor as I walked in the door. Or to have you take up the entire bed and leave me to sleep on the edge.
I knew I couldn’t have eternity with you, but part me of always hope I could. You were and still are my biggest heartbreak to date.
But by god what a privilege it was to have my heart broken by you. And what I would give to suffer a life time of heartbreaks for just another moment with you.
