After @gorgeousgalatea tagged me in the doll-yourself meme I spent an inappropriate amount of time using this dollmaker to do character designs and ended up making ones for Albus & Gellert woops.
Вот и мы.
Once a model, always a model 😎🖤
“Maybe a man in a million could unite the Hallows, Harry. I was fit only to possess the meanest of them, the least extraordinary. I was fit to own the Elder Wand, and not to boast of it, and not to kill with it. I was permitted to tame and to use it, because I took it, not for gain, but to save others from it.”
Re: the price Dumbledore has to pay, I've always loved the physical manifestation of magic in the HP universe (like the rotten arm post horcrux destruction or Voldemort on Quirrell's head), so maybe it really actually physically hurts like ripping half of your heart out bc that's what you're doing, basically. And I don't think it makes the commited to doing something happen, I think it's more that if Dumbledore does this, rips his heart out, he HAS to fight him or it was for all nothing
Some kind of tie to Warlock’s Hairy Heart would be very interesting. I would looove for FB to delve more into that kind of deep old fairy-tale-y magic that makes Beedle and the parts of DH that deal with The Tale of the Three Brothers so atmospheric.
And yeah he couldn’t break the pact and then go back on it. Maybe if you break the pact you then HAVE to do the thing it was made to prevent? As in you’re magically compelled? But I’m not sure how that would work, and anyway, I really hope they keep the story beats centered on their emotions rather than various magical technicalities.
Dumbledore learned to suppress his feelings in the 1940′s and he never let go of that lesson.
That’s what makes him manipulative in some occasions: he learned to brush off his feelings in order to do the right thing, and now he expects everyone else to do the same.
He learned that feelings will hold you back from fighting the evil wizard that once was your lover, the only person who ever really understood you. So if brushing off people’s feelings is what it’s gonna take to defeat Voldemort then he’s gonna do it.

100 PICSPAMS CHALLENGE // #13 - grindeldore (hp universe)
It shows us nothing more or less than the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts.
“Oh, and what a world we could make, for all of humanity. We who live for freedom… for truth…. and for love.“ - Gellert Grindelwald
Dumbledore: *sees Snape’s patronus*
Dumbledore: *surprised and moved* After all this time?
Me: Ok Clarice. You became celibate after a traumatic relationship that lasted less than 2 months and you’re still not completely over the guy after 98 years. Don’t be so shocked.

Well this brought a smile to my face. :)
I’m watching Moulin Rouge for the first time in ages and I completely forgot that it takes place in 1899 and they call it the Summer of Love.
Am I the only one who saw that the Dumbledore/Grindelwald romance was heavily implied in the books?
I don't think that it was a forced afterthought at all. I also think that the storyline itself adds brilliant depth to Dumbledore as a character.
Nah, there was a good subset of people who saw it in between the lines (there was a grindeldore fandom BEFORE the thing was "canon") and then a loud subset that reacted with annoyance about it not being actually in the text.
And don't get me wrong, I understand the annoyance and different feelings over complicated matters. And It's not my intention to discredit anyone's feelings.
But it was in the text.
