So I've had these glosses in my little collection for a while now (I'll eventually take a picture of my lip collection. I'm far too lazy right now. Besides, when I do, I forget to upload it, and then I purchase more glosses)
Anyway, I've had both of these for a few years, little versions of Lancomes Juicy Tubes, Smoothie (left) and Jelly (left). Both of 'Brown-Neutrals' but the Jelly one isn't anything brown in my eyes.
I'll start with the Jelly first. Called: Touched by light
To sum it up, I dislike this one. I shouldn't have kept it... or got it. It was in a makeup swap from sometime back with a friend, and I chose these two of her makeup collection. The glitter, it sticks to my lips and has a very grinny feel. I dislike that on my lips for any type of product. Also, the smell is unsettling. It smells like... play dough. Obviously, not as strong, but a bit. Once the gloss wears off, the glitter does stick to your lips. I personally don't like it. So this Juicy Jelly tube for me, was a miss.
Onto the Juicy Tube smoothie. - Simmer
I love this. Everything about it. The colour is neutral, I can put it on as it and it's fine. No major pigment, but it's a nice little gloss. I remember I used this almost everyday for a month, and it still has a lot left!
One thing I have to mention, I loooove the smell of this gloss! It smells like orangesicles. And I loved eating those as a kid.
It's not major shine, but it's quite nice. Not too sticky.
I also checked to see if Simmer was still produced, it is, but on the site, the colour looks rather light. It is a bit darker, but nothing intimidating. I never found it changed the tint of my lips at all or anything. I would say it's rather sheer.
There's no taste to either gloss, there is a scent, and my favourite is Simmer. Both are also available for purchase, if you want your own, http://lancome.ca/Juicy-Tubes/1000398,default,pd.html?dwvar_1000398_color=Beach%20Plum&start=3&cgid=makeup-gloss
Overall, I was in love with Simmer a while back. But I've purchased so many since, that it's just sat in my little box unused. I'll have to make sure to start using it again, I have yet to finish up any of my lip products I've bought. (Lip balms don't count...)
So my final thoughts, they're alright. Simmer especially. I mean, for $22, they get the job done, but you can spend less on a brand that will give you more shine, more hydration for half the price.
