Its been a while, and this will be my last post.
Cinnamon passed away today at around 5pm. She had been fighting some infections and was on vet perscribed antibiotics, but unfortunately it was not enough to save her. I hope her journey over the rainbow bridge is wonderful, and that she has all the snacks, bedding, and veggies she could ever want on the other side.
Goodbye my sweet little Cinnabon. I will love you forever.

Wish us luck, I am going to be making a vet appointment for Cinnamon. From what her symptons show she either has something easily curable with antibiotics, or something terminal :(

Her fur is getting a little thinner but she is just as sassy and reckless as ever! (Seriously play time is usually me just saving her from herself).

Rant. But a good reminder...
I generally don't like to post things too sad but I have cried off and on again all day today over something COMPLETELY preventable. I only cry for 3 things: elderly people being treated poorly, dead children, and dead animals...
I got to see the cutest, smallest, most adorable little puppy a few weeks ago. And due to the owner clearly having done no research or preperation in his work area (dog friendly office) for a puppy, the little pup is dead. Turns out leaving wires out around an untrained and unsupervised bored (and very active breed) puppy ISNT A F***ING GOOD IDEA.
So if you need me i shall be trying to get work done while crying quietly at my cubicle.

Do Cats Deliberately Misbehave?

My office receives a large number of requests concerning cat behavior problems and it’s alarming to me whenever I hear people refer to their cats as spiteful or they’re sure a beloved cat’s motivation behind a particular behavior is anger or revenge. Really? Do you really believe your cat is capable of plotting a behavior as punishment for something you have or haven’t done?
Miscommunication Leads to Lousy Problem-Solving
There are a couple of major problems with thinking that your cat’s behavior is a punitive plan. First, it fuels miscommunication on your part so you waste valuable time in identifying the true underlying cause of the behavior. If you’re so sure the behavior is motivated by revenge then you will overlook some obvious and critical clues behind the true trigger.
Next, it may create anger on your part so you might end up punishing the cat for the behavior. I’ve received many calls and emails from cat parents who have spanked their cats, rubbed their noses in their messes or put their cats in “time out” as punishment. None of that works. It’s not only counter-productive, but it’s cruel as well.

There's nothing more heartwarming than when the dog that tried to rip my thumb off a year ago shoves his head against my leg just so I can hold him and pet him when he has had a rough week.

Does anyone have any tips for bonding with my hamster?
I feed him from my hand and hold him as much as I can, but he’s still very skittish. I’ve had him about 4 months now if that helps ^-^
I'm not sure what you do right now, but i found bathtub bonding is the only bonding that makes my hammy happy. I always bring in a wood bridge (or anything they can hide under), and 3 towels used solely for bonding. 1 to line the tub, 1 to bunch up and she can use to explore (you can hide treats and such in the towel folds) and one for me to sit on because the tub is hard lol.
Eventually all the towels smell like your hamster and you, and they associate the tub and towels and combined smells with treats and fun exploring time! Eventually my hamm was just so chill with it she ran on my feet, then legs, then my head (because that was somehow less scary then my hands??), then finally my hands.
You definitely don't have to do this exactly, but maybe parts may help!
