For those of us who despise scrolling through menus using a controller, Nintendo has added the ability to Joy-Con mouse mode as a cursor in the home screen and in settings.
Top: in Donkey Kong Bananza, the font used for the UI and dialogue is called "Ad Lib". Interestingly, the choice of this specific typeface appears to be an extremely deep reference to the history of the series.
Middle: this typeface was used in the 1990s in various promotional material for Donkey Kong Country games, such as the big captions in the official Nintendo Power guide for Donkey Kong Country.
Bottom: in addition, it even made its way to material included with the games themselves, such as the Donkey Kong 64 manual.
If this is an intentional reference, it demonstrates the lengths to which the development team has gone to research the history of the series. If it is not intentional, it is a remarkable coincidence.

With Mario Kart World adding characters I never thought would be in a Mario Kart game, this seems like the best shot for some of my favorite Mario characters to get behind the wheel!
A Lot of People Want the Nintendo Switch 2
That is according to Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa, who stated that interest in The Nintendo Switch 2 “far exceeds our expectations, and far exceeds the number of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles that can be delivered” and as a result Nintendo has begun “working on further strengthening our production system.”

In Super Mario Odyssey, the internal name for the Mario object is not something obvious or logical like "Mario" or "Player", which is the case in the vast majority of Mario games. Instead, it is "PlayerActorHakoniwa".
Hakoniwa (箱庭) are miniature gardens with very elaborate scenes embedded in them, which present a scene that is to be appreciated for the amount of work that went into the detail of the arrangement in addition to the cultivation of the plants.
It is theorized that this philosophy guided the level design of Super Mario Odyssey (which are also presented as spaces filled with detail for the player to appreciate), so that the player object, which was likely implemented so early in development that the Mario model was not yet ready, was named this in honor of the guiding principle of the project.

Nintendo fans when video games cost money
Nintendo Switch 2 preorders start to today in Europe. They were also supposed to begin in North America, however they have been delayed due to tariffs imposed by the United States.
Tariffs won’t increase Switch 2 Price... Probably
That is according to a statement given to Polygon by research firm DFC Intelligence:
“In the case of the Switch 2, we believe much of the 20% increase was already baked into the $450 price,” Cole said. “It is not likely Nintendo will raise the price, and if they do, we don’t expect it to be 20%. Also much of that increase is in the form of NOT discounting prices. So not necessarily a price increase but where we model a 20% price decrease in the next year or so we have the prices holding steady.”
