Muse announcement

Fellow muses, it's been wonderful writing. As the au slowed I've decided no more asks will be taken and I will no longer post here. this will remain up for archive purposes, but no future updates are coming as of now.

Quick question- you got any ideas yet with the whole dark!Muse au yet? 👀👀👀

As of now, not many. The dark version of the au has a far more set in stone story which i have ideas for ofc.

- Muse is in a group of urban explorers for a YouTube channel, and they go to the old Handeemen studio. That goes to shit, of course.

- in the panic, Muse winds up in Nick's little hermit cove. Nick had been watching from the shadows and already decided he was madly in love with Muse.

- one of Muse's friends comes to save Muse after formulating an escape route and Nick catches on, becoming extremely jealous. Like in Phantom of the Opera, he wisks Muse away into the studio keep to himself but Muse gets saved by their friends and they escape.

new to the muse au and the hello puppets fandom! just wanted to ask: what about a mute muse? (either from birth or from a traumatic event) how would that go?

- as the Handeemen work with real children, they all understand and can use sign language, so there's no barrier for them there!

- Nick, however can be a bit smothering with the "tragedy of lack of speech" thing, though he doesn't mean bad by it.

-He's a chatterbox himself, and watches Muse like a hawk to see if they're signing. If they don't sign, he is very good at reading people's body language.

- Mortimer and Riley couldn't care less that Muse is mute, Daisy, however, gets super defensive if someone is mean to Muse, and is the first to step up as an interpreter if need be! (That is, if Nick doesn't beat her to it)

like any other muse who does things art related, would Nick be even more crushed into the floor by an operatic muse?

Absolutely! Nick mentions writing an opera in the tapes, so he'd have no hesitation in putting Muse in a leading role, or even making a role specially for them!

When he finds out about Muse's hobby in opera, he literally falls head over heels, as in he "passed out" right then and there out of sheer joy.

And with an interest in opera, there are only more productions to place Muse as his romantic lead in.

He loves the idea of Muse wearing an ornate costume for the operatic performance and there's only more Phantom of the Opera parallels to draw here.

how about a Muse that likes to create cake art? Like, a cake shaped to look like something, not cake decorated with a picture, but the muse could do that too (google “Cake Art”, and you will probably see what I mean). I imagine that this muse will spend time with Daisy as much as Nick, but I’m curious on what you will come up with

As stated in previous hc posts, Nick is floored by a muse that takes part in any art form. Though cake art isn't usually what people picture when talking of art, Nick is more than willing to learn about Muse's activities.

Daisy is freindly with Muse nonetheless, but in this scenario she's good friends with Muse since their hobbies align so well. Though Daisy primarily makes pies, she's more than enthusiastic to brush up on the cake recipes.

Daisy is not much of a decorator herself, and is a little embarrassed with how basic her cakes come out, so she was estatic to let muse "work their magic" and learn from Muse.

Nick on the other hand, can't decorate a cake of his life depended on it. Most group decoration sessions end in disaster because of it. Though Muse is happy to help Nick improve!

Too lazy to draw so here's a picrew of Grace's kid, Kris. He's 13, in middle school and is going through an emo phase that includes him wearing his mom's eyeliner. He's (afab) transmasc but doesn't realize it, often bragging about how he gets "confused for a boy" sometimes, not being subtle at all about how much he likes it. Also he's in a band. A crappy band, but a band nonetheless.
