It’s been a year since the love of your life started dating someone else. For the past few months, you’ve tried dating other people, but no one was like Minho. No one could make you feel like he did. At this point, you’re sure you’ll be single forever. Maybe love is not for you.
You still see each other, but most of the time, he’s with his partner. You can’t help but think of the time you could spend together. Just you and him. Yes, those selfish thoughts never leave your mind.
After your friend started dating, he used to joke about you being single, saying you should find someone too. Minho didn’t know it, but every time he said something like that, you felt hurt. You couldn’t say it. Instead, you just answered with a fake laugh.
One day you’re sitting on your sofa, mindlessly watching something on your TikTok. Until a message grabs your attention. Minho keeps sending messages.

And that’s what you do until late at night. You and Minho cuddle, and you almost fall asleep. Your vision is kind of blurry, but you can see your friend smiling at you.
You finally fall asleep, and when you wake up, you see that you’re in your bed. You get up and look for Minho. He is sleeping on the couch. Seeing his peaceful sleep, you can’t help but smile and your heart skips a beat.
After that day, your friend is always with you. You’re not sure what happened, but he just doesn’t go more than 3 days without seeing you. You can’t lie, you actually like it.
Some time passes. It’s been 4 months since that day. After some thought, you decide that this is your chance. You feel deep in your heart that it’s the right time. Because you got to be with him, you were happy. When Minho hugged you a little longer than usual, when he cried his eyes out with you because he had difficulties in life, or when he slept in your arms. All these moments would warm your heart, but also make you reconsider your decision.
Even when you tried to stop talking to Minho, something felt wrong. He was the missing piece of your puzzle. He started to get clingy and asked why you were ignoring him. Like a cat, he would go after you, and you couldn't resist.
After all, he was everything for you, as a friend or as a boyfriend, you just wanted him by your side. Maybe that was the best decision. For you and Minho.
One day he came to you. Minho said he wanted to tell you something. You felt your heart going crazy, your mind going blank.
“I have a partner.”, he said with the biggest smile on his face.
Your mouth opened slightly and you looked at him without blinking.
“Y/n?”, your friend called to you, putting a hand on your shoulder, causing you to finally blink.
“A partner?”, you asked.
“Yes! They're amazing, Y/N. I'm sure you'll love them”.
You smiled. Your heart was broken and you wanted to cry, but Minho was your friend. At least he was still there for you. So instead you gave him all your support. You loved him, you loved him more than anyone, so all you wanted was for him to be happy, even if it was with someone else.
But it wasn't easy.
Every time you saw them together, your heart ached. The strong thought of being you in their place. He kissing you, sleeping with you every night, making you dinner. You knew you shouldn't feel that way, but you couldn't help it.
But in the end, it was your choice. He's here with you, and that's good enough!

It's only when the movie has finished that Jisung realizes you've fallen asleep. He thinks you look adorable and leans in to kiss your forehead.
Instead of waking you up, Jisung decides to sleep too. He carefully cleans up the snacks and puts the laptop away, then slips back under the covers next to you. He gently strokes your cheek and whispers, "Goodnight, baby."

Today you’re going to visit his dorm, which he shares with his bandmates. When you arrive, Changbin opens the door for you. You greet him and ask for Chan.
“He’s in his bedroom. I’ll guide you,” he says, letting you enter.
The boy shows you the way and you knock on the door. “Chan?” you call him. You can hear his footsteps. He opens the door and immediately gives you a big hug, making your cheeks turn red.
“Hi, Y/N! Please come in!” he says, giving you space to enter his bedroom. As you enter, you see a very organized room. You didn’t know, but he cleaned his room because of you. You stay still beside his desk looking at every detail of his room. “You can sit on the bed,” he says, snapping you out of your trance. You do as he said, hugging a pillow.
You're kind of embarrassed. It’s not the first time you’ve been to his dorm, but it’s the first time you've entered his bedroom. He sits at your side with his laptop.
“So, let’s watch the movie?” he asks.
The movie! You’re so nervous you forgot you planned to watch a movie with Chan.
“Yes!” you answer.
“I’ll take some snacks in the kitchen, wait a minute,” he says, getting up.
When he’s back, his hands are full of snacks like chocolate bars, cookies, and Doritos. He sits at your side again, putting the snacks on your lap. Chan puts his laptop on the bed after starting the movie. You watch it together, eating and talking about some scenes.
After the movie ends, your head rests on his shoulder and his head on yours. You wish that this moment could last forever.
“That was a great movie,” he broke the silence. “Did you like it?”
“Yes, the ending was perfect,” you reply.
“Now it’s time to clean up this mess,” he says pointing at all the snack packages on the bed. “Let me throw them away.”
While he goes to the kitchen to throw all the mess, you go to the bathroom to wash your hands, which are stained orange from eating Doritos.
When you go back to Chan’s bedroom, he’s already there, sitting in the same spot as before. You sit with him. He’s fidgeting with his fingers looking at his laptop. You know this means he’s deeply immersed in thought.
“It’s everything ok, Chan?” you ask, moving closer to him.
“Yeah, I just…” he clears his throat. “Need to show you something.”
“Sure. Show me,” you say.
He opens the music software he uses. “Listen close,” Chan says before pressing the start button.
Sweet music starts. The lyrics are about loving someone and wanting them. It’s an amazing song, made with his soul as if he poured all of his feelings into it.
“It’s beautiful, Chan. I loved it,” you say with a big smile on your face when the music ended.
However, he keeps looking at you with no reaction. Your smile turns into a confused expression.
“You didn’t understand,” he sighs, looking at his laptop now. “Or you’re rejecting me?”
Your mouth opens in surprise. Rejecting him? You would never do that! Wait…
It’s then that you finally understand. The music is for you! He’s confessing through a song! Chan is really cute.
You gently caress one of his hands and say, “Chan? I’m not rejecting you. I love you!”
He’s looking at you again, this time smiling. He holds your face with both hands and gives you a quick kiss.

When you finally arrive at college, you check your phone, you only have three minutes until the class start.
You start to walk fast, almost running, while checking your new messages on your phone. But at one moment, you stumble into someone. Looking up, you see a boy with a worried expression, and as you look at his shirt, you realize you spilled your coffee on him.
Panicking, you apologize, “I’m SO sorry, please forgive me. I will buy you a new shirt!”
“It’s okay, calm down!” he answers with a smile. “You don’t need to. You’re late for class, right?”
“No, no. I will buy a new shirt for you. Just wait for me here when class ends.” you answer before rushing off to class.
A few hours later, after the class ended, you return to the spot where you spilled coffee on the boy, and to your surprise, he was there waiting for you.
“Hello,” he greets you. “I should introduce myself now, right? My name is Felix, nice to meet you.”
“My name is Y/N,” you reply, giving him a handshake. “Nice to meet you too. Should we go to the mall?”
“Sure, let’s go” he agrees.
Since the mall was nearby, you decided to walk there. During your walk, you talked about your courses and hobbies, and you discovered that you had a lot in common.
When you arrive at the mall, Felix asks if you want to eat something, and you agree since you are hungry. You go to a café, you order a red velvet cake while Felix orders an americano and a cupcake.
“I really want to see you dancing” you say, sitting at the table with him.
“I can show you a video if you want.” he takes his phone and shows you a video of him and his friend dancing.
“You're so good! You must have practiced a lot!" you said in surprise.
After finishing your meal, Felix takes you to a video game store, where you both talk about your favorite games, you even end up buying a cute new mouse for your setup.
The day went by as you both explored various stores and talked about anything and everything that came to mind until you suddenly remembered the reason you were there in the first place.
“Felix! I forgot about the shirt! Let’s go buy it!” you say, taking his hand to guide him to a clothing store.
"Y/N, you don't need to buy a new shirt. I can just wash this one, you know," he laughs, pushing you back. You are too close to him now.
"Ah, well, it's getting late, I need to go," you stutter. "See you again?"

When he discovers that you also love art and are, in fact, an artist, he starts to imagine all these romantic scenes of the two of you drawing together, sharing your artwork, and exchanging tips with each other.
One day, he proposes that the two of you meet up to draw together. When you accept, he becomes so excited that he can't sit still.
You go to a coffee shop and order drinks before sitting down at a table to draw. While he sketches on paper, you draw on your tablet. As you draw, you talk about your art inspirations, favorite foods, and the events of your week.
Some 30 minutes later, you say you're nearly finished with your drawing. He requests to see it, causing your cheeks to flush.
“It’s just a character I created” you say.
Hyunjin pouts, saying, "Please, Y/N! Let me see it!"

After a long day at work, you arrive at home feeling tired and sad. It was definitely not your best day, as everything seemed to be going wrong. It’s when you see your boyfriend, Changbin, in the kitchen, that you finally smile and feel some relief.
“Already home?” you ask as you approach him.
“Yes, not much to do today” he answers you, however, he can sense that something is off as you look at him with a sad expression that you couldn't hide for a long time. “What’s wrong, baby? Did something happen?”
He places his hands on your waist as you tell him about your worries and how his presence makes you feel better. Changbin pulls you in for a comforting hug. A very comforting hug, that can make anyone’s day brighter. You can smell his sweet fragrance and feel his hands tightening the hug even more.
“I love you, don’t forget that. You can always tell me everything and I will make you feel better.” he whispers in your ear.
Back hug — A hug where one person hugs the other from behind.
You wake up in the morning, you look for Changbin but he’s not in bed with you. He’s probably in the living room, you think.
After stretching, you get up to go to the bathroom. You wash your face and get your toothbrush. Suddenly, you see your boyfriend coming towards you. He gives you a back hug and a kiss on your neck.
“Good morning, love” he says.
“Good morning, Bin” you reply, looking up to see his face.
The hug is warm, perfect for the cold weather.
Jumping hug — A hug where one person jumps into the other’s arms.
It's your birthday and you're really excited. You wake up to see your boyfriend next to you, looking at his phone.
“Good morning, Bin” you said after a yawn.
He looks at you for a few seconds before returning his attention to his phone.
“Good morning” he replies.
You can't help but feel a little disappointed. You were expecting at least a "Happy Birthday" from Changbin. Did he forget? Maybe you did something wrong?
You sigh, trying to show that you didn't like his cold response, but he doesn't seem to notice. You get out of bed with your arms crossed.
The day goes on like this, you’re both angry and sad. At least my friends are sending me Happy Birthday messages, you think, but it doesn’t really help. You decide to go for a walk to clear your mind.
What you didn't expect was what your boyfriend was doing while you were out.
When you return and open the door, you see some balloons in the living room. As you go into the kitchen, there is a pretty cake on the table, more balloons, some soda, and sweets. But Changbin isn't here.

Your first reaction was a smile, but after a few seconds, you started to wonder who wrote it. You didn't remember anyone in your class whose name started with “P”. But you didn’t have any more time to think about it since the bell just rang.
After that day, you started to receive not only small notes but gifts as well. One day, it was flowers, another, a pretty necklace. You loved everything, but you started to become more curious about who was behind all of these things.
So you decided to ask your classmate, Seungmin, who sat right next to you. Although you were not that close to him, you occasionally had small conversations and worked on assignments together. He might know who your secret admirer was.
“Seungmin, do you know who’s the person that gives me all these things?” you ask.
“Hm…No.” he says, shrugging.
“Really? You’re always here before me, you never saw anyone coming to my desk?”
“No”, he turns his head, you can see his ears turning red.
Little did you know that the person behind all these cute gifts is actually Seungmin. He has a huge crush on you but he was not only shy but also not good with words, so he just decided to start giving you gifts and notes.
Feeling dumb for not being able to tell who “P” was, you decide to ask a friend from another class to help you. The plan was simple: they would come early and discover who was behind it.
“You really don’t know? You can’t think of anyone who likes you?” your friend asked after you explained the plan.
You started thinking, but no one came to your mind. Actually, you didn't think someone could have a crush on you.
On the next day, you arrive at the school feeling anxious. You almost couldn't sleep the night before. When you saw your friend, you ran to them. They laughed seeing how desperate you looked.

Outside of the school, you summoned all your courage to speak.

Two months later, you and Seungmin are dating. He is still shy at times, but he has become more courageous in expressing his feelings and showing affection towards you. And of course, he still surprises you with adorable notes and gifts.

Like Minho, you also love animals, so you're really excited. You wake up in the morning, have breakfast and choose a comfortable outfit. Just a few minutes later, your boyfriend arrives at your apartment. You open the door and he greets you with a hug and a kiss on your forehead.
“Are you ready, baby?” he asks.
You nod your head with a big smile.
When you arrived at the shelter, you were greeted by the staff, who gave you a tour of the shelter. You see a lot of cute dogs and rabbits, but when you arrive at the cats' area, you melt. You love all animals, but cats are your weakness.
Your eyes meet with a black cat, and you instantly fall in love. You crouch down and play with it with your finger. Minho stops at your side, a slight smile on his face. You look at him with pleading eyes.
“Minho, I want this cat!”
The staff member looks at you and says, “This is Luna, we’ve found her injured, but she’s better now!”.
Your boyfriend crouches down and joins you in patting the cat. He sighs as if he's thinking deeply about it, but he can't contain his smile.
“I think the cats will have a sister now”, he says.
You get up really excited and look at the staff member.
“Let’s help with everything, and then we'll fill out the adoption paperwork!”, you say.
You and your boyfriend spend the rest of the day helping out at the shelter, cleaning cages and playing with the cats and dogs. And, at the end of the day, you spoke with the staff and filled out the adoption paperwork.
