SENUSHI AND RYAN 5.28.16

This gorgeous wedding has been featured as the front page post on the Style Me Pretty blog! We were so honored to be chosen by Senushi and Ryan to be their Day of Coordinators for their special day. This wedding was full of so much beauty and cultural wonder that you can’t help but swoon over every photo. From the jaw dropping Holy Family Catholic Cathedral ceremony, to the gorgeous outdoor Sri Lankan Poruwa ceremony in the gardens of the Tulsa Garden Center, the beauty never ceased. We loved working with such talented vendors from all over the country on this one. Congrats Senushi and Ryan!

HALEY AND COLLIN 1.16.16

This was such a gorgeous, intimate winter wedding. Haley and Collin may be our sweetest couple to date! I met Haley back when I worked at the Little Light House. I knew she had beautiful taste then. It was great to reconnect with her and see that beautiful taste come to life at her wedding.  I loved the simplicity of the greenery and white mixed with natural light. It really made all the details pop. Thank you Haley and Collin for entrusting me with your big day!

ANDREW AND LAURA 11.14.15

If I could redo my wedding, I think this would be it. Laura has impeccable taste. It was so fun to work with her and see exactly what she envisioned for her and Andrew’s wedding come to life on their wedding day! 

Every detail was so beautiful and sentimental. When Laura walked down the aisle to the song “Meant” sung by Zach and Lane Winters, it had me weeping. You could feel the love these two had for one another and the love they had for the Father, it was overwhelming. Thank you two of letting me be a part of your wedding. Congratulations on a lifetime together!

ROMANTIC STYLIZED SHOOT AT THE CANEBRAKE

Oklahoma's rolling hills are showcased in this beautiful stylized shoot we did at The Canebrake. To bring in a more romantic feel the florals brought rich hues of lush magenta, deep wine and soft pink. We wanted brides to be inspired to not only use the colors they see from nature during this time of year, but to brighten their wedding with florals that speak to them. Having pops of magenta, pink and wine gives a romantic feel during this cozy time of year. 

We wanted the tableware to blend with the surroundings allowing the florals to be the main focal point. Oklahoma has a more rustic feel so we used wood, natural tones, bronze, and gold to blend with the backdrop. The farm style table is from West Elm and is made from reclaimed pine wood. The simple ivory plates and natural napkin create a monotone of color on top of the wood charger allowing the pear to pop on each place setting. The simplicity of the calligraphy on the name card and menu blend with the tabletop decor allowing an easy transition for the eyes as it flows across the table. 

The dress is a simple nylon pull over dress with no buttons, zippers, or clasps. It is made to fit like a glove. The skirt is removable and lightweight allowing it to move with the Oklahoma wind. The wind can make for a chilly day so we used a rustic plaid blanket scarf to cozy up our bride.

Overall we wanted our brides to see the beauty in the simplicity of rustic woods and natural tableware all the while being comfortable and cozy in their own gown.

BRETT AND AMANDA 10.3.15

I am a huge fan of couples being true to themselves for their wedding day. Is pizza your favorite food? Serve it for dinner! Do you love dancing? Dance the night away! Are you into craft beer? Enjoy some with your guests! Be you on your wedding day! This is after all, a time to celebrate you two as a couple! 

Brett and Amanda were a couple after my own heart. They weren’t into all the traditional bells and whistles of a wedding, but instead wanted to just enjoy themselves at their own wedding. They had been to too many weddings where the couple didn’t get to eat, talk to their guests, or remember their wedding day because they were so busy with all the traditions at the reception. So for Brett and Amanda there was no color scheme, no stringed quartette, no cake cutting, no club atmosphere, just some gorgeous florals, some folk music, and a low key reception where the couple could relax and enjoy themselves as newlyweds.

RYAN AND ANNIE 10.17.15

Getting dreamy photos back from some of our favorite couple’s this past fall. I had such a fun time with Annie and Ryan and their sweet families. I love that my job allows me to feel as though I am one of the girls/best friends/family members on the big day. Getting to work so closely with the bride and her mother on this wedding was such a delight. The sad part is, once it’s over there are no more meetings to attend together and no more emails to discuss wedding details. But seeing these photos allow me to relive the moment and remember how wonderful the day went for the couple, their families, and their best friends. Congrats Annie and Ryan, you two are so perfect for one another!

MATERNITY LIFESTYLE SHOOT AT OUR HOME

When I was pregnant, we were so unsure of what life would be like with little Everleigh here. I spent hours dreaming and thinking about who this little person inside of me would become and how she would fit into our family. I am so thankful to have these photos as reminders of when life was a little slower, a little easier, a little more restful, and a little more boring with just the two of us. Now that she is here life is that much more busier, harder, tiring, but way more exciting with each new day. I wouldn’t change it for the world! Thank you Bryan for taking these images for us! We will cherish them forever.

EVERLEIGH FAYE’S NURSERY

Crib: We have always loved the look of the Jenny Lind style crib. We found this one on Craigslist for $60! Ladder: We have been looking for a wooden ladder at River City Trading Post for a while now to store our throw blankets. We scored this one and another on our latest trip there! Books: Some were gifts but most we bought at the yearly Holland Hall Book Fair. Toy Chicken Coop: My mother bought us this toy chicken coop at the Pendleton Store in Portland. It looks exactly like our coop at back! Animal Vase: Trent got this for me for our four year anniversary at Anthropologie. Hanging Planters: When I started thinking about our nursery I knew I wanted lots of plants. I found these hanging planters at The Nest, Ikea, and The Retro Den. Gliding Chair: After searching, sitting, and rocking, we finally found this glider at Buy Buy Baby. Wall Art and Frames: A friend bought us the chalkboard art work from Chip and Joanna Gaines’ store Magnolia. On a recent trip to Ikea, we bought lots of frames that I filled with artwork from my favorite artist Anna Bond’s Rifle Paper Co and snapshots from a recent trip to Colorado and Utah. Rug: I picked up this rug in Crested Butte Colorado at a boutique over a year ago. It’s supposed to be a quilt but it is heavy duty enough to be used as a rug. I bought it specifically to use it in our nursery/playroom one day. Baskets: We register for these baskets at Target for our wedding over four years ago and they are still going strong!

JOSEPH AND DANIELLE

I met Danielle at a Weddings of Tulsa Bridal Show a year before her wedding and we instantly connected. Throughout Danielle’s planning process we would meet to run through wedding details and I would help her make design decisions. It was really awesome to see all of the details we had been discussing over the course of a year come together on their wedding day. Danielle and Joseph are such a sweet and loving couple. I really enjoyed working with both of them and their families. Happy Marriage!

BRETT AND LINZY

Although the rain came pouring down during the day for this outdoor May wedding, the skies opened and cleared that evening for Brett and Linzy to have their outdoor dream wedding. The backdrop for this wedding was as beautiful as Oklahoma can get at Dog Iron Ranch (Will Rogers’ birthplace) on top of a hill overlooking Lake Oologah. Linzy and Brett both had a heavy hand in planning the details of this wedding and their hard work really payed off as it turned out beyond beautiful. Congrats to this fun couple!

CLAYTON AND BRITTANY

This Southern Charm wedding was everything an Oklahoma Wedding should be and more. Overlooking the rolling hills of Green Country at Bridle Creek Ranch, the view was breathtaking. Being the wettest May on record in OK, the good Lord was nice enough to stop the rain for the day and allow the happy couple to marry with perfect weather. Brittany has such a beautiful personality that seems to just exude from her being. On her wedding day, she seemed so peaceful and calm. Watching Brittany and Clayton interact you knew they were making the right decision in committing their lives to one another. Their love was so pure and genuine. We loved working with this sweet couple and their friends and families.

JOHN AND ANGELEEN

I met Angeleen in college at ORU about seven years ago and since then have run into her here and there around town through mutual friends. I was so excited when she met me at a Weddings of Tulsa Bridal Show last fall and told me she was almost engaged and wanted my help coordinating her wedding! John, her fiancé, was such a help while wedding planning. Most fiancés aren’t that excited about wedding details but he really enjoyed being a part of the wedding planning process which made it more enjoyable for both of them. When they decided on a late February wedding, I didn’t even think of the possibility of snow in Tulsa! It was such a treat to have the Philbrook’s garden be snow covered to take romantic photos of their winter wedding! Thanks Bryan of BCreative Tulsa for these incredible shots! JON AND SUSAN

I really enjoyed helping this former Oklahoman bride plan her wedding from afar. Susan and Jon had a small Saturday morning ceremony with their closest friends and family at Susan’s hometown Church of Christ in Morris, OK. It was fun collaborating with Susan on all the details to make this wedding super special for both her and Jon. Congrats Susan and Jon!

GULF SHORES, ALABAMA

Thankful to spend week 22 with baby on the soft sands of Alabama’s Gulf Coast with my lifelong best friend, Morgann. It was such a blessing to share these sweet moments with my childhood best friend before baby arrives in July. I pray my daughter finds a soul sister like her one day.

BRETT AND LINZY’S WEDDING, DOG IRON RANCH, OOLOGAH, OK

This past Saturday, we were given the opportunity to work with an incredible DIY bride. Linzy had a vision for her wedding and it was so fun to be able to make her vision come to life on her wedding day. Not only did her father, groom and other men in her life make 16 incredible barn wood tables for her guests to gather around and eat, but she also ordered all her flower stems online and the day before her wedding, created over 100 beautiful arrangements in mismatched mercury glass jars she had been collecting for the past year with her bridesmaids. It was so fun styling these tablescapes come wedding day! 

The location was absolutely gorgeous. Will Roger’s Birthplace, Dog Iron Ranch, set in Oologah, OK, was such a fun place to gather with long horn cattle, goats, horses, ranch dogs, and a vivacious peacock keeping us company throughout the day. Guests were perfectly content, enjoying themselves after waiting out the typical Oklahoma springtime weather of rain and winds that came late afternoon.
